Almost the entire product line is successfully used for finishing rooms with high humidity and for facade cladding. Plasters based on gypsum have the following characteristics:

1. Layer thickness. With a single application, its optimal parameters are from 3 to 6 mm. If the mixture is applied several times to seal deep cracks, then the previous layer must be completely dry. Due to good adhesive qualities, the maximum thickness can be 60 mm.

2. Average consumption. With a 10 mm finishing layer, 8-9 kg of powder is required for a 1 m2 area, and 0.6-0.65 liters of water will be needed to prepare 1 kg. To calculate how much plaster costs for decorating a particular room, you need to know its area and determine the thickness of the mortar overlay.

3. Hardening mode. At a positive temperature (from 5 to 30°C), the mixture begins to set no earlier than after 40 minutes, this process ends after 3 hours. Complete drying - 5-7 days.

4. Color range. It is most often represented by white, light gray and gray shades, but sometimes there are pink, yellow, green colors.

Features of various gypsum mixtures

1. Volma Layer allows you to get the smoothest possible surface and even do without puttying. To do this, the applied composition immediately after the start of setting is cut with a trapezoidal rule, removing excess and filling in irregularities. Then they are smoothed with a wide spatula, after 10-20 minutes (if the plaster does not sag when pressed with a finger), they are rubbed with a grater and smoothed again. In conclusion, 5 hours after the start of work, another treatment with a spatula is carried out along a pre-moistened plane.

2. Canvas. Not so long ago it was introduced by the manufacturer and is actually an analogue of the previous series, but you can buy it at a lower price. This is due to the introduction of a lightweight filler into the composition, which does not affect the quality of the finished surface.

3. MN layer. Plaster for machine application is in no way inferior to Knauf, and even surpasses it in compressive and bending strength. Due to the quick setting of the solution, after 3 hours the plane is rubbed and smoothed, becoming glossy even without putty.

It is worth noting that all plasters retain their original properties for 12 months. The bags should be stored in dry rooms on wooden pallets.
