Power Saving Mode

Power saving mode for GPS, without saving on the GSM module: in this mode, after positioning, the tracker turns off the GPS module until the next SMS request. In this mode, the approximate consumption is about 20 mA.

Energy saving mode for GPS and GSM modules: in this mode, the tracker turns off the GPS module, and GSM module goes into standby mode. Consumption in this mode is about 10 mA. The tracker only responds to a direct phone call.

The energy saving mode is set by the tracker after initialization with a long absence of requests (more than 10 minutes), and minimal settings, namely, the following functions are not installed: Geo-fence, Parking, Speed ​​control, Auto location report, GPRS mode is disabled.

In energy saving mode, the tracker can wait for a request for up to 48 hours.

Precautionary measures

Keep the TK-102 tracker dry. Any liquid that gets inside can damage electronic circuit device.
- Do not use or store the tracker in dusty places.
- Do not place the tracker in places with high or extremely low temperatures.
- Use the tracker with caution. Do not subject to shock or severe vibration.
- Clean the tracker with a dry cloth. Do not use chemicals and solvents.
- Do not paint the tracker as this may damage some external parts.
- Do not disassemble the tracker.
- Please use standard charger and a battery. Other types may harm the tracker.

Possible malfunctions and their correction

Does not turn on - Check the battery charge and that it is installed correctly. No response to request - You may be requesting a tracker from an unauthorized phone number. Reset settings. Complete the initialization and authorize your phone number.

When determining, the tracker does not provide coordinates - The tracker is not visible to satellites. Start using the tracker (first turn on after purchase) in conditions of good visibility of the open sky.

Note:

SMS messages to the tracker must be sent to text format regardless of lowercase and uppercase letters, the PDU format is not identified.

The first turn on of the tracker must be carried out on an open-air site. This will help the tracker quickly install all navigation satellites and will subsequently significantly reduce their search during positioning, as well as the accuracy of determining coordinates. The tracker program uses the satellite position memory and, if the satellite is visible enough, indicates the exact direction to search for satellites.

Follow the specified order of commands when setting up the tracker, since it is in this order that the tracker will be successfully and quickly configured.

1. Insert a SIM card (a SIM card from any operator that has GPRS Internet is suitable, the card must be active and the PIN code must be removed from it). Open the back cover, take out the battery and insert the SIM card into the slot. Insert the battery and close the cover, press and hold the ON/OFF button for more than 3 seconds, the indicator on the device will start flashing quickly, when the tracker catches the network after 5-10 seconds, the indicator will flash 1 time every 4 seconds. The tracker will automatically find the GSM network and GPS navigation satellites. If there are no signals, the LED blinks quickly, the tracker is in search mode. When the satellites and network are locked, the indicator LED flashes every 4 seconds. You can continue setting up.

the response should be an SMS "begin ok!" -- this will mean that the SIM card has been successfully installed and the tracker is ready for use (123456 is your default password, you can change it later, see point 10).

3. To check the location, make a call to the tracker. After two beeps, he must hang up the call and send an SMS with coordinates and a link to a map with the exact location.

4. To switch from location mode to wiretapping mode, send an SMS request: monitor123456
the response should be SMS “monitor ok!”. After that, call the tracker number and you will hear everything that happens within a radius of 15 meters around the device.

5. To return from wiretapping mode to location mode, send an SMS request: tracker123456
the response should be SMS “tracker ok!”. After this, you will return to the location mode again, to check, call the tracker and after two beeps it should drop the call and send an SMS with coordinates and a link to a map with the exact location.

6. To check the battery charge, send an SMS request to the SIM card number in the tracker: check123456
In response, you will receive an SMS with the battery percentage.
Important: the tracker will send an SMS notification to authorized numbers if the battery charge is less than 10%.

7. ON/OFF button. When installing the battery, the device automatically turns on. To turn off the tracker, press and hold the ON/OFF button for more than 3 seconds. To turn on the tracker, press and hold the ON/OFF button again for more than 3 seconds. The indicator on the device will start flashing quickly when the tracker catches the network, the indicator will flash 1 time every 4 seconds.

If any functions do not work correctly, perform a manual (turn off and on with the button) or remote reboot of the tracker, send an SMS request: reset123456
You should receive an SMS in response: “reset ok!”. Rebooting the tracker does not destroy the saved settings.

8. To link a management phone number, send an SMS request: admin123456 phone
where phone is your phone number in international format (for example, admin123456 +380123456789) - this is one of 5 numbers from which you can control the device. The command should receive a response in the form of SMS “admin ok!”. To cancel authorization of a number, send SMS: noadmin123456 phone (for example, noadmin123456 +380123456789).
Important: your phone number will be automatically authorized if it has been used to call your device more than 10 times!

9. SOS button. Hold the SOS button for more than 3 seconds and the tracker will send an SMS message: “help me!+ coordinates” to all authorized numbers every 5 minutes. To disable SOS mode, send an SMS request: help me!

10. Setting the time zone. To set the Greenwich time zone, you need to send an SMS request:

11. Change password. The numbers 123456 that are sent with the commands are your password. To change and set a personal password that only you will know, send an SMS request: password old_password new_password

12. Geo-fencing (Warning about going beyond the specified zone)

This function only works on a SIM card where the Internet of your SIM card operator has been configured (see point 17).

Energy saving mode for GPS, without saving on the GSM module: in this mode, after positioning, the tracker turns off the GPS module until the next SMS request or phone call, provided that if it is inactive, the mode is activated for at least 5 minutes. LED indicators are disabled in this mode.

20. Tracker operation through automatic tracking using a computer or mobile application
You need to register on the tracking service, configure the tracker to work with this service, and then via the Internet you view the service’s location, routes, speed and other parameters in real time. Connect to free GPS monitoring servers: livegpstracks.com or orange.gps-trace.com. You register on the site and can use it to determine geographical coordinates and monitoring the movement of your GPS trackers at a specified interval (up to 5 objects at a time). The online service allows you to determine the location of your object of observation at any time of the day and in any place, provided that the GPS tracker is located with the object of observation. You can use the GPS monitoring service from any computer, as well as any mobile device, setting mobile app to your smartphone or tablet. To work in this mode, you must have a SIM card mobile operator Internet traffic.

20.1. Setting the server address. To do this, you need to send an SMS request: adminipyour_password ip port
(For example, adminip123456 5.9.136.109 3339) the SMS “adminip ok!” should come in response.
Important: you can also replace the digital IP address with srv1.livegpstracks.com

20.2. In order to see the location of the tracker on the map, you need to register the tracker in personal account(menu "My trackers"). To do this, you need to enter the IMEI, which is written on the device or box itself, in the appropriate field. After this, viewing the registered tracker will be available in the "Monitoring" menu. Or after sending commands (having received a positive response from the tracker to each of them) via IMEI, connect the tracker in your personal account on the website. You can also find out the IMEI of the tracker using an SMS request (see point 15). Important: you must enter all 15 digits of the IMEI.

20.3. If after a long time (at least 1 hour) the tracker still does not appear on the map, then send the tracker an SMS request: number tracker_name
where have a tracker - only the last 12 digits of IMEI (for example, number579017793858). In your personal account in tracker management, add a new tracker by entering 12 IMEI digits (what you sent in the number command).

20.4. If there are no coordinates again, then repeat the number command, but sending the last 13 IMEI digits to the tracker. Add a new tracker in your personal account, specifying the last 13 digits as IMEI. If after this the tracker does not appear on the map, then reconfigure the tracker to port 3347 by sending an SMS request: adminip123456 ip port
(Example, adminip123456 5.9.136.109 3347), the response should be an SMS reply “adminip ok!”.
If it still doesn’t work, then write to support. [email protected] a letter in which you indicate the tracker model, full IMEI (all 15 digits), the date and time at which you sent the data to port 3347.

20.5. Setting up automatic tracking. To receive coordinates five times with an interval of 30 seconds, you need to send an SMS request: t030s005nyour_password

Important: the tracker has a slot for TF cards no more than 32 GB (that is microSD card up to 2 GB), when using a card, if the tracker loses the GSM signal, it writes the coordinates of movement into the card memory.

IMPORTANT:
1. Use the battery and USB cable provided in the package. It takes 3-4 hours to fully charge the battery.
2. Store the device in a dry place. Any liquid can damage the tracker.
3. Do not store the device in a dusty place, or in overheated or cold places.
4. Do not expose the tracker to strong vibration or shock.
5. To clean the tracker, use a dry cloth, do not use chemicals or cleaning products.
6. Do not paint the device.
7. Do not disassemble the device or remove the antenna.
8. If the tracker does not respond or wiretapping does not work: check whether you are calling from an authorized number and whether cellular.
9. The response comes with zero coordinates: Most likely, the device is located in a room where the satellite signal is not available. Start using the tracker (first turn on after purchase) in conditions of good visibility of the open sky.
10. If the tracker does not turn on: check the battery charge and whether it is installed correctly.
11. If the tracker does not respond to the SMS message, check whether the SIM card has any outstanding payments, and whether the SIM card is full of text messages, and then try again.
