Story

The Siberian generating company has existed since 2009, when a separate company was created within the structure of OJSC SUEK to manage the energy assets of the coal holding: OJSC Kuzbassenergo and OJSC Yenisei TGC (TGK-13).

In September 2011, SUEK's energy assets were spun off into an independent company - the SGK group. During 2012, to improve operational efficiency, a reorganization of managed companies was carried out.

The main types of business are the production of heat and electricity, the sale of electricity and power, the transfer and supply of heat to consumers, and hot water supply.

When in 2009, the leading coal association OJSC SUEK acquired OJSC Yenisei TGK (TGK-13) and OJSC Kuzbassenergo, which were formed during the reform and restructuring of RAO UES of Russia, their management required the creation of a new enterprise - LLC Siberian Generating Company (SGK). After 2 years, all energy assets were separated from OJSC SUEK, and the companies themselves were reorganized to improve managerial qualities and the efficiency of their work.

Today, the SGK group is among the largest energy holdings in the Russian Federation. The activities of enterprises that are under the leadership of SGK extend to the territory of the Republic of Tyva, Altai Territory, the Republic of Khakassia, Krasnoyarsk Territory and Kemerovo Region. They supply heat and electricity to more than 9 million consumers.

Production capacity

Under the supervision of SGC, 19 power plants operate: 4 state district power plants and 15 thermal power plants. Their installed electrical capacity reaches 7253 MW. When fully loaded, power plants can generate 57.5 billion kWh of electricity: this is enough to satisfy consumer demand in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the second largest energy-consuming region of the Russian Federation.

Most of SGC's power plants are coal-fired thermal power plants, which, in addition to electricity, produce thermal energy. The length of the SGC heating networks is 3,400 kilometers, and the thermal power of all stations is 16,300 Gcal*H. The share of the group's enterprises in the heat market is 70-100% in each city where they operate.
