I have never come across such a prophecy, and this is the first time I have read the text you cite.

It is still difficult to judge the truth or not of the truth of this prophecy. The truth of its origin is unknown. I have never met references to the prophecies of St. Basil the Blessed. It is hard to imagine that such a prophecy lay somewhere under a bushel for about half a thousand years, and now it has suddenly been discovered. Who wrote it down? Where was it kept? How was it discovered and by whom? After all, most of this prophecy is already visible to us as having come true. What is the point of giving us a prophecy about those events that we know and see come true before reading this prophecy? The language of this prophecy (with all the efforts of the author) does not look like the speech of St. Basil the Blessed. This is especially betrayed by some of the words used, which the holy fool Vasily could hardly have said. And in general, for the speech of Christ for the sake of the holy fool, such clear and precise indications that are available in the above prophecy are not suitable. The holy fool could not speak in such a language! Another thing is a reverend or saint.

As for the content of this prophecy, at first glance it looks like a true presentation of future (in relation to the time of St. Basil's life) events. Some of them exactly coincide with those events that have already passed. But such a coincidence in hindsight can neither serve as proof of the reliability of this prophecy, nor show us the benefit of this part that has already come true. Rather, such a coincidence indicates a compilation of known events in hindsight and fitting them into a prophecy by some unknown person. I do not mind if some spirit-bearing, but unknown to the world, person of our time, who received true prophetic revelations from God, tries to present them to people on behalf of some saints for the sake of benefit. But it is best to sign such prophecies with a common name, for example, "the prophecies of the unknown Caucasian (Athos, Altai, Valaam, Optina, Valdai, Siberian, Solovetsky, Palestinian, Egyptian, etc.) Elders. When they hide behind the name of a famous saint, they lie , claiming that he was saying something he didn't actually say.Such a lie is not justified.

As for that part of this prophecy, which has yet to "come true", it does not carry anything fundamentally new for us. However, there are some alarming "accuracies" and inaccuracies in it that cast doubt on this prophecy.

The prophecy (assuming it refers to the 16th century) does not indicate the beginning of this age of life without a king. This we know about 1917 (1918). But according to the meaning of the cited text, the third murderer for people of the 16th-19th centuries should have been perceived as an Orthodox (at least formally) tsar (like Ivan the Terrible and Peter the Great), under whom for some reason they would burn and destroy churches. Then the temples will be rebuilt, but the poor people will turn away from them. From this moment begins, according to the text, the age of kingdomlessness. The story about the unthinking young man clearly points to the authorship of his man of our time. This person sees how, in the person of the near-Romans, Maria and her offspring Georgy, they are taking care to place a tsar allegedly from the Romanov dynasty on the empty Russian Throne in order to somehow calm the people and “reconcile” them with their violation of the 1613 oath. Anticipating this false accession, the modern author inserts it into his prophecy. If a false accession occurs in the year 2017 from the Nativity of Christ, then what do the words “Long will the great turmoil continue in the kingdom” mean? How long? Then there are disagreements with arithmetic: if the impostor is considered the first sovereign, the "great warrior" the second (how can he be called by all our people? The people can support, but not call. Except perhaps through general elections. But such elections are not pleasing to God), then for some reason, the leader of the Arab kingdom in a blue turban should be our third sovereign. How can this be? And if you omit it, then where is the third Sovereign? Why will the fourth Sovereign be called the "Great Rider"? Is he going to ride around Russia in the fight against thieves on horseback? Or is there an allusion to the white horseman of the Apocalypse? It is impossible to believe that Fool-for-Christ Basil gave the exact date of 7517. In addition, there are no more exact dates in the entire prophecy. And the expression "from the creation of the world" was not used then in Russia. They spoke and wrote "from Adam". But even if we accept the year 2017 from the Nativity of Christ as the year of the reign of a truly great Sovereign, then it turns out that the reign of an unintelligent impostor, a long continuation of the great turmoil, the emergence of a leader in a blue turban with his "lightning bolts", the destruction of this leader by Russia gathered together, the arrival of the great Horseman with his fight against thieves and robbers, his murder and crying about him in Russia, the passage of terrible wars - all this should happen in the same 2017! Who can take it? There is a clear discrepancy between the author of this "prophecy".

So, from everything I have cited, it is clear that this "prophecy" could not belong to St. Basil the Blessed. Nor did some spirit-bearing man unknown to us write it. It was written by our educated, well-read, but not spiritual contemporary as his compilation of well-known prophecies and his own assumptions about the future of Russia.

As for St. Basil the Blessed, it really happened with him. According to the official life, he was born in 1469 in the village of Yelokhovo near Moscow. Moreover, his parents, peasants, were childless for a long time. And mother and father went on a pilgrimage, to holy places, to beg for a child. And then, the legend says, God heard their prayers. Moreover, his mother Anna gave birth to the long-awaited son right on the porch of the Epiphany Cathedral in Yelokhovo.

When Vasily grew up, he was given to learn the craft of a shoemaker. And then an incident occurred that determined the future fate of the young man. So, in the flour of scattered rolls, the baker, by his own admission, mixed chalk to whiten the dough.

And once the blessed one, in front of the shocked pilgrims, committed an out of the ordinary act - he smashed the miraculous icon of the Mother of God at the Barbarian Gates with a stone, assuring that the devil was hidden under the holy image. The icon painter was brought to justice, and he confessed that he had indeed painted the image of the Virgin on top of the image of the devil.

The news of that incident reached Tsar Ivan the Terrible, and he invited the holy fool to his chambers. And take that one and predict a great fire in the capital.

And in fact, the next day, June 24, 1547, the great Moscow fire began, which destroyed a good half of the city. Moreover, it began right there, in the place where the “crying cry is inconsolable” holy fool: “The Exaltation on Arbatskaya Street caught fire ...”

According to Karamzin, “all of Moscow presented the spectacle of a huge blazing fire under clouds of thick smoke. Wooden buildings disappeared, stone ones fell apart, iron burned like in a furnace, copper flowed. What was the surprise of all those present when the Blessed Elder, on his deathbed, finally predicted that the younger Tsarevich Fedor, and not Ivan at all, would reign.

And again, everything happened just as the holy fool predicted. The king, as you know, in a fit of anger, he killed his eldest son, breaking his head with a staff.

Basil the Blessed died on August 2, according to the old style (or August 15, according to the new one), 1552. Ivan the Terrible and the boyars carried his coffin, and Metropolitan Macarius performed the burial rite.

The body of St. Basil the Blessed was buried in the cemetery of the Trinity Church, which is in the Moat near the Kremlin. Prophecy of Rano Nero

The prediction of a medieval astrologer 1972 - in one of the monasteries in Bologna, his manuscript was found, the so-called "Eternal Book", which contains predictions for the development of our civilization until 6323 inclusive, that is, until the middle of the 7th millennium! The fourth (Dan. 7:23) ruler from that dynasty will have a face like a cat (cunning). The Orthodox faith will be shaken from the cat-king, demonism will enter the temples. They won't be able to figure it out for a long time (Otk.13:18). He will remain unknown for a long time (2 Thess. 2:6), and then he will begin to play the role of a servant (of the people). He will give a great riddle to his descendants.
Half bald, half hairy ruler. A small one who will change appearance twice (enter power twice, change from good to evil). He will be buried twice. A lame man who will terribly cling to power. He had a mortal wound, but was healed (Rev.13:12). He fell, but rose again and began to take revenge on everyone for his humiliation. A person sitting on two tables (of power) will seduce five more like him, but on the fourth step of the ladder (in the 4th year of reign) they will fall ingloriously.
He will be in power when two fives converge on him (he) (Rev.17:12. Dan.7:24). The three branches of the tree (republic) will merge into one and there will be a single tree (new union). Great joy is the return of the crown. Acceptance under the crown of the whole big tree. Many people will gather in the old city to greet the new person, there will be great joy that will end sadly.
A man from a swamp (a city built on a swamp). It will come out of the ground, like an unholy grave spirit (of a mausoleum), with the forces of darkness, and the seal of the Antichrist will be on the last of them. His spirit will be guarded by three elders (Rev. 16:13,14), who are bound and thrown into the abyss. In it God will fight with the Devil, greatness and demonic deeds will be done by him. The ghoul king, the bloodsucker, whose beginning will be like that of a great warrior, and the ending is deplorable - like that of a child-killer possessed by demons.
In the name of the dog's head, many audacity and executions will be committed. Dog children will torment Russia. Demons will rule Russia, but under different banners. There will be a decisive battle of Satan on the territory of Russia. Russia will be on the verge of disintegration and destruction, and under the guise of the revival of its former greatness, the last thing that remains will be destroyed. The first three years of a nightmare. After three years of abomination and desolation (Dan.11:31. Mat.24:15), unbelief and searches. And there will be blood, Great blood (Rev.17:6.13:7) after three, after seven (Rev.13:5. Dan.12:11,12), and through the fall of the green-eyed. The bloody vampire will turn the country into a desert. He will throw terrible lightning (nuclear) and turn many countries into ashes. …
There will be a big exhausting war of the cross with the crescent. There will be three waves in this war - there and back.
Heavenly stones will fly to the earth (Ezek.38:22) and many lands will turn into deserts ... one stone will fall in the great steppe. …

After the ghoul king there will be a quiet and meek sovereign, who will remain the last of the great Sovereigns (Dan. 7:14.). When a terrible death threatens everyone, the Swift Sovereign will come (Mat. 24:27). He will be pure in soul and thoughts and bring down his sword (Rev. 19:15,16) on robbers and thieves. Not a single thief will escape reprisal or shame. …”
