A program to detect and install unknown devices on your computer. DevID Agent Driver installation

Hello everyone Let's talk today about such a program as DevID Agent, if I can, I'll tell you about it and I hope that you can understand whether you need this program or not. So DevID Agent is a program to find drivers for devices automatically, via the Internet, you can also use the program to update already installed drivers. I read this info on the official website, but is it really so, we have yet to find out

You probably know this situation, well, or you don’t know, I’ll tell it anyway. For example, you bought some device, you know the model, but not the exact one, and at the same time you don’t have drivers, what should you do in this case? In this case, you need to take the device ID and look for the driver in the search engine. Yes, you can do this, but still it's a little hemorrhoids, you see. Here, in order not to do this by hand, then for this matter the DevID Agent program was invented

In general, guys, I downloaded this program from the official site, by the way, here it is:

In general, I run the installer, the following window appears:

Well, this is such Windows security, you may not have such a window at all. In general, I clicked on the Run button in this window, after which such a window appeared, here you need to click Next:

Then there will be a window where it will be written exactly where the program will be installed. You know, this is the place where the program will be installed, then I do not advise changing it without the need. In general, click on the Install button:

After that, the DevID Agent program will already be installed, it will say Completed, you will need to click on Next again:

That's it, then the last step is to click the Done button:

And if you did not uncheck the Run DevID Agent checkbox, then the program will automatically start itself. Here I have it and it started, see how it looks:

So it says here that the program is free, it's very good, there is also a button Ask a question, it's at the very top, if you click it, then this form will appear and here you can write the question itself:

Just look, there is another checkmark there below, if it is not unchecked, then a screenshot of your screen will also be sent. But if anything, then you can safely uncheck this box ..

So everything seems to be fine with the drivers, all the drivers are installed, but for the sake of interest, I still press the Start search button:

Well, then it’s already clear that the search has begun, this is how the process will be displayed, see:

Well, then I saw that three devices were found, one of them had no drivers at all, and the other two, then they kind of had old drivers, well, look:

The first thing I liked here is that everything is written here clearly and there is no nonsense. In general, well, if the program has found the necessary drivers, then let me install them all the same, I press briefly on Install selected:

Then I got such a message in which it is written that they say the screen may flash or go out altogether, the programs can still slow down and all that, in short it says that this is normal and you should not panic, here is the message itself:

In general, I clicked OK, and then another message popped up, it already says, do I want to create a restore point? This is suggested in case something goes wrong, well, there is some kind of error there ... But I think that there will be no errors, so I refuse to create a restore point and click on Cancel:

Well, that's all, then the installation has already begun:

Then another window popped up:

Honestly guys, I don’t know what to write here, or rather how to write it correctly .. In short, this means that the driver is some kind of unsigned there, in principle, yes, there is a bit of danger here. But on the other hand, I don’t think that the DevID Agent program is some kind of viral or buggy, I think it’s just a matter of the driver, but if the program offers to install it, then I will install it, in short, I’m in the window above, then I clicked on All install this driver. After that, I got another window, it already says that it was not possible to install this driver, well, kapets! In short, it is also proposed to install the driver in another way, well, guys, let's try, I click Yes in this window:

Then the following message appeared again:

As you can see, it says here that they say the drivers were successfully installed, but here are some installed with errors, that's such a joke guys .. And they also write that they say do a reboot and try again. In this window, I clicked Yes and after that the reboot went ...

After the reboot, there were no errors in Windows, everything worked as usual. For fun, I launched the DevID Agent program again, clicked the Start Search button again, and only one device appeared, by the way, this is a network card, and now it has an old driver, but the program found a new one. I tried to install, but then again there was an error, that is, it is with this device that I have a problem, a new driver does not want to be installed on it! But guys, in fact, I think that this is not the prog, but my device, well, that is, in the network card. I'm just showing you a program not in a regular computer, but in a virtual one, well, it's like a special computer for tests and all sorts of experiments. Maybe there is a glitch somewhere in it .. In short, guys, I really liked the DevID Agent program itself, it works clearly, the computer does not load, and in general, it seems to me that this is a suitable program

So what else can I tell you? The program runs under such a process as DevidAgent3.exe, here it is in the task manager:

The process starts from this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\DevID Agent

Well, now guys, I'll show you how to remove DevID Agetn from your computer completely, well, suddenly this program turns out to be unnecessary for you .. So look, hold down the Win + R buttons, the Run window will appear, there you write the following command:

Then click OK and after that you will start the Programs and Features window, in this window you will have a list of all installed programs. Here you need to find DevID Agent, right-click and select Delete:

Well guys, it’s a joke or not, I don’t know, but damn it, I clicked Yes in the window there, and after that a window immediately popped up saying that the program had already been deleted, and it was also written that it was successful, well, see for yourself:

In short, the program is removed so quickly, which is even unusual! Do you know what I thought then? Well, the program is of high quality, so what’s wrong with it that it quickly left .. But it’s not so simple here guys, the fact is that I then looked for files on the system disk that contain the word devid .. Well, what would you think ? I was very surprised, because here in this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)

There was a DevID Agent folder and I don’t quite understand why it was there if I deleted the program? Well, see for yourself, here are the search results:

Well, it's not funny, is it? Kapets kapetskovich! You don’t look at DevID_Agent_Installer.exe, it’s just an installation file, I knew that it would remain, because I downloaded it manually. well, in short, I went to this folder, that is, to C:\Program Files (x86)\DevID Agent and this is what I saw there:

That is, there was only one uninstall.exe file and I know what it is, it would be a program remover, but that's why it remained, it's certainly not clear to me! I tried to run it, then I was already familiar with the window asking me to remove the DevID Agent from the computer? I pressed Yes and then there was a message saying that everything was successful, but the folder was still not deleted, in short, such things guys! I went to the C:\Program Files (x86) folder and then manually right-clicked on the DevID Agent folder and selected the Delete item there:

Then there was such a message, well, then I clicked Yes:

And all the guys, the folder was safely deleted. Then, for reliability, I again looked for traces of the program on the system disk, but I did not find anything except the installer itself:

In short, these guys are pies. No, I still think that the DevID Agent program is good, the fact is that I didn’t write it, but this program is like an application to the devid.info site, where you can download drivers, the site itself is quite good and of high quality. That's why I think that their DevID Agent program is also of high quality, but the fact that the folder remains, well, it's such a strange cant. Maybe it's all in my Windows? I don't know guys, I don't know...

That's all guys, I hope that everything was clear to you here, but if something is wrong, then you're sorry. Good luck in life and may you be happy
