The Internet qualifying stage of the Schoolchildren Olympiad has begun “Teacher of the school of the future” in foreign (English, German, French) languages.

The Olympiad is prepared and conducted by teachers of the Moscow City Pedagogical University. This year the Olympiad was also included in the “List of Olympiads for schoolchildren”, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and received the 2nd level. For the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad, this means the opportunity to facilitate their admission to many universities in the Olympiad profile - foreign languages.

If your students registered on the Olympiad portal http://moodle.mgpu.ru/login/index.php last year, then they need to remember their username and password, log in Personal Area, acquainted with regulatory documents, watch the training materials and after all this will begin to complete the tasks of the Internet qualifying stage.

If your students do not have a personal account on the portal http://moodle.mgpu.ru/login/index.php ¸ then registration will be required to participate in the Internet qualifying stage of the Olympiad. This procedure will not take much time from your students: it is intuitive and extremely simple. When registering, each Olympiad participant comes up with his own original login and password and creates his own personal account on the system website distance learning MSPU. Next, the registered participant of the Olympiad must independently, but without indicating any additional information sign up for the course “School Olympiad in Foreign Languages ​​“Teacher of the School of the Future”, which is located on the start page of the port https://moodle.m gpu.ru/login/ind ex.php. Registration for the course is automatic. After this, the participant gets access to the materials of the Olympiad and will be able to familiarize himself with the rules and regulations of the Olympiad, solve tasks of the qualifying stage of previous years, read the news of the Olympiad, and also complete tasks of the Internet qualifying stage of this year’s Olympiad online.

To complete the tasks of the Internet qualifying stage, you are given 1 (one!) attempt and 2 hours of time (plus or minus 15-30 minutes depending on the language). At the end of the test, the participant immediately sees the score he scored.

Based on the results of the qualifying stage, no more than 45% of the participants who score high will be invited to the full-time stage of the Olympiad, which will take place in March 2017.

The Olympiad for schoolchildren in foreign languages ​​"Teacher of the School of the Future" has been held since 2010. From the first year of its holding, the Olympiad has been included in the List of Olympiads for schoolchildren, approved by order of the Ministry of Education and Science Russian Federation. Since 2013, the organizer of the Olympiad has been the Moscow City Pedagogical University. Starting from December 25, 2018, in the course "Olympiad for schoolchildren" School Teacher of the Future "and on the Olympiad page we will begin publishing normative, training and control materials for the qualifying stage, which is traditionally held in correspondence (distance format). This year we are holding the following competitions as part of the Olympiad: for students in grades 2-4 in English, German and French, for students in grades 5-7 in English, Chinese, German and French, for students in grades 8-11 in English, Chinese, German, French and Japanese.

What are the benefits? Each university itself determines the conditions under which it accepts winners and runners-up. It could be:

• enrollment without entrance examinations;
• 100 Unified State Examination points in a core subject;
• maximum score according to DVI (additional entrance examinations).

In most universities, only the admissions committee finally decides on what conditions to accept the winners. Therefore, the benefits information in our table may not be complete. Which Olympiads provide benefits?

• The All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren is conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Victory or prize-winning place final stage Vseros allows you to enter any university in Russia according to the Olympiad profile without exams. Not according to your profile - get maximum scores on the Unified State Exam or DVI.
• The winners and prize-winners of the IV stage of all-Ukrainian student Olympiads and international Olympiads receive the same privileges.
• University Olympiads from the List of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. They are conducted directly by Russian universities. Winners and medalists of these Olympiads can also receive privileges upon admission. But here you need to take into account the rules of the university itself.

What about the Unified State Exam? The diploma of the winner or prize-winner of the school Olympiad must be confirmed with at least 75 points on the profile Unified State Examination. Some universities set a higher threshold. A Vseros diploma needs to be confirmed only with minimum scores in Russian language and mathematics.

Unfortunately, I cannot evaluate the assignments, because... I don't speak German. But the child liked it and participated with pleasure. The impression of organizing the event was spoiled by the fact that the entire system froze 10 minutes before the end of the allotted time. My daughter was very worried that nothing was preserved. As a result, the assignments were accepted, but literally three points were missing from the prize. Perhaps, if not for this glitch in the system, we would have received our certificate. I sent a letter describing the problem and screenshots of the screens to feedback(as the organizers asked - to write reviews), but received nothing in response. I hope the problem was resolved. We will definitely participate next year!

The organization is not up to par, especially for kids. The fifth-graders who were doing an assignment in English did something wrong. They are the only ones whose results have not yet been published.
