Generator maintenance. Rules for care and use. Oil for diluting fuel in a gasoline power plant What kind of oil to fill in a gasoline generator

How to start a new generator? This article contains all the necessary information on preparing the generator for startup, refueling it, care and maintenance. How to organize an accident-free and reliable operation generator you will find out by reading this article.

The design of any electric generator with a drive motor internal combustion regardless of its power, the same:

1. Generator starting block.

2. Internal combustion engine.

3. Oil dipstick plug.

4. Electric generator.

5. Automatic generator control, including a protection unit.

6. Electrical sockets.

7. Fuel tank.

8. Common supporting frame-body.

Preparing to start the generator

Most generators sold are completely assembled at the factory; the buyer only needs to fill it with fuel and oil. Before you start refueling, you need to find out what oil and fuel are recommended by the manufacturer. Depending on the engine type, you may need:

1. Diesel fuel.

2. Gasoline A92 or A95.

3. Methane.

4. Motor oil for two-stroke gasoline engines.

5. Motor oil for four-stroke gasoline engines.

6. Motor oil for diesel engines.

Refueling two-stroke gasoline engines

The cheapest generator models are equipped with a two-stroke gasoline engine. Internal organization Such an engine does not provide for a separate oil lubrication circuit. To lubricate the engine, oil is supplied to it along with fuel, where it is then burned. The standard oil/gasoline mixture ratio is 1 part oil to 50 parts gasoline. In such generator models, oil and gasoline are simultaneously poured into the fuel tank.

Refueling of four-stroke and diesel engines

More modern engines have a separate oil lubrication circuit, so it is first necessary to pour oil into the crankcase of the internal combustion engine, and then fill the tank with fuel.

The amount of oil poured must correspond to the volume indicated in the passport. A household generator with a power of 1.5–2.5 kW is usually filled with about 1 liter of oil. To refuel you need:

1. Unscrew the dipstick plug on the engine crankcase.

2. Fill in 80–90% of the oil volume specified in the passport.

3. Put it in place and then remove the oil dipstick.

4. Check that the oil level corresponds to the “minimum-maximum” marks.

5. Add oil in small portions, checking the level with a dipstick each time. Top up until the dipstick shows an oil level exceeding the minimum, but less than the maximum (if the distance between the “minimum” and “maximum” marks is conditionally divided into four parts, when filling the oil for the first time, filling up to ¾ is optimal).

6. Tightly screw the dipstick plug onto the engine crankcase.

You cannot use oil that does not have the required viscosity or a different type (mineral, semi-synthetic) to fill the internal combustion engine; it is especially dangerous to mix different types of oil for filling.

Fuel is refilled into the gas tank located at the top of the generator. The maximum fuel volume is indicated in the technical documentation. There is no need to fill the fuel to capacity. The fuel in the tank must be at least 10 mm below the top wall of the tank (this condition is due to the need to compensate for the pressure created by gasoline vapor). Filling must be done through a special watering can with mesh filter or fabric filter.

Recently, a large number of multi-fuel generators have appeared that support the possibility of using not only gasoline, but also methane gas as fuel. To supply gas, you need to use a special hose; at the point where it connects to the gas cylinder reducer or gas main, you need to install a separate shut-off valve.

Checking the air filter

Air filters are installed on all generators. Some of them are for efficient work needs to be wetted with engine oil (sponge filters). Before starting, it is necessary to find out the type of air filter and prepare it for operation, since the quality of purification of the air used and, as a consequence, the reliability and durability of the generator directly depend on this.

Switching on the generator with manual start

Before turning on a charged generator, you need to:

1. Choose a well-ventilated place.

2. Install the generator strictly horizontally.

3. Disconnect the load from it.

4. Connect the ground.

After this, perform the following operations sequentially:

5. Open the valve installed at the outlet of the fuel tank.

6. Use a special air damper to limit the air supply.

7. Several times, gently pull the starting cord toward you and lubricate the engine.

8. Turn on the ignition.

9. Pull the starting handle sharply.

10. If the engine does not start, repeat the operation 2-3 times.

11. After starting, smoothly return the cord to initial position.

12. As the engine warms up, open the choke.

13. Turn on the electric generator.

14. Check the presence of voltage on the installed devices.

Since the fuel system of a new generator is filled with air, if the generator fails to start after 2-3 attempts, you need to bleed the air on the fuel filter and carburetor.

Starting a generator with an electric starter

Complete the first 5 steps in the same way as manual start, after which:

6. Insert the ignition key.

7. Turn it to the “start” mark.

8. Give the generator less than 20 seconds to start.

9. If the engine does not start, repeat the operation after 1 minute.

10. After starting the generator, return the key to the “ignition” position.

11. Turn on the generator.

If the battery installed in the generator is discharged, then if you have a starter cord, you can start it manually.

On startup diesel generator it is necessary to additionally use a decompressor and bleed the air.

Generator shutdown

To safely turn off the generator you need to do the following:

1. Removing all electrical load from it.

2. Close the fuel supply valve.

3. Wait until the drive motor stops.

4. Disable the ignition button.

For emergency shutdown, just press the “stop” button.

If the generator is rarely used, after turning it off, it is advisable to move the piston of the internal combustion engine cylinder to its highest position. This allows you to block access to the engine atmospheric air, capable of causing internal corrosion. The piston moves when the starter cord is pulled toward itself; the place where noticeable resistance appears will correspond to the optimal position of the cylinder piston for storage.

Generator Maintenance

During operation, it is necessary to regularly monitor the fuel level, and when starting, check the oil level. Constantly monitor the tightness of the oil and fuel system. Generators cannot provide a constant power supply. Depending on the model, it must be stopped at intervals of 8 to 24 hours for maintenance (refueling, checking the oil level).

Attention! Refueling while the generator is running is strictly prohibited!

After operating the first 5–10 hours, an oil change is required (engine break-in). Subsequent oil changes are carried out according to the schedule given in the instructions.

At every oil change, it is necessary to check the condition of the fuel and oil filters and clean the spark plug from carbon deposits. After cleaning the spark plugs, it is necessary to check and, if necessary, adjust the gap between the electrodes (the optimal gap is 0.7–0.8 mm).

If the generator is operated in dusty areas, Special attention It is necessary to pay attention to the cleanliness of the air filter. The frequency of filter cleaning should be reduced to 24 hours of generator operation or less.

For long-term storage, the generator piston must be moved to its highest position. Place the generator in a dry, well-ventilated area. Before starting the generator, it is necessary to add fresh fuel to it (especially if it has a gasoline internal combustion engine).

Every 2–3 months to maintain the generator in a working, lubricated condition, it is necessary to start it and run it until the internal combustion engine is completely warmed up (5–10 minutes).

Most electric gas generators are purchased as a backup power source for country house and homestead farming. As a consequence of this, technology is used mostly sporadically, only during power outages. It often happens that the generator turns on only a couple of times a year and for five years the factory oil has not been changed at all. At the same time, many users store generators and other garden equipment in the far corner of a damp garage, often filled with fuel. Or they store gasoline, especially for the generator, in cans for many years without using it up. Because of this, operational problems mainly arise. And when you have to get a gas generator for use, it often fails to start or starting is significantly difficult.

Typical malfunctions of this method of operating a gas generator: carburetor corrosion, stuck valves, dirty spark plugs, etc. But by spending just half an hour a year (!) you can get rid of problems and have a mechanism always ready for use. An additional bonus is not to transport a faulty generator to a specialized workshop, often located tens of kilometers away and filled with similar equipment from fellow sufferers.

How to maintain a gas generator?

Servicing a generator independently is within the power of anyone with special knowledge and professional tool you won't need it for this. All 4-stroke engines gardening equipment are similar in design, and once you have serviced one generator, you can also work with a lawn mower or snow blower without any problems.

Change of oil

The first thing you need to do at least once a year is change the oil. If the oil has not been changed even once in several years (and this is not uncommon!), then use an oil system flush. To do this, it is quite possible to use a car wash, for example: Liqui Moly Oilsystem Spulung Effektiv. In this case, only a little 30-40 grams of rinsing will be required, because the oil capacity in the generator is on average only 600 ml. The remainder of the wash can be used in your favorite car. The sequence of actions is as follows: start and fully warm up the generator, open the filler neck and fill in the flush. Next, start the generator again and let it run without load for another 10 minutes. Drain the oil and refill with fresh oil.

You need to approach the choice of oil carefully and read the instructions for the unit. However, it often happens that the instructions are lost when unpacking a freshly purchased generator. What to do, because we read the instructions when nothing else helps. But the generator is not a car, knocking on the wheels and wiping the headlights does not work with it. Then decide for yourself whether you are going to use the equipment only in the summer or all season.

For summer use, Liqui Moly Rasenmaher-Oil SAE 30 is suitable, summer mineral motor oil specifically for engines air cooling. This oil has outstanding stability at high temperature and the correct viscosity, specially selected for power equipment engines. After all, such engines do not have an oil pump, and lubricant is supplied to the rubbing surfaces using a special scoop on the connecting rod bearing cover and splashed onto the cylinder walls.

For all-season operation of the generator, Liqui Moly Universal 4-Takt Gartengerat 10W-30 oil is not just for all-season use, but also universal, that is, for generators, lawn mowers, and snow blowers. Moreover, both for gasoline engines and diesel engines, although there are few of them. By the way, the canisters are equipped with a filling tube and an additional funnel is not needed.

Corrosion protection for moving parts

After changing the oil, you need to lubricate and protect from corrosion the moving parts of the generator, fasteners and ignition contacts. The best spray for this is Liqui Moly LM-40, a penetrating multi-purpose lubricant. The preservative and protective effect of using the product lasts up to a year, and you can operate the equipment in normal mode. The spray displaces moisture, lubricates, eliminates jams and squeaks, cleans and protects rubber and plastic. The composition is ideal for protective treatment electrical contacts. The canister purchased for servicing the generator will come in handy more than once in everyday life, in the household.

Rodent protection

It is necessary to pay attention to protection from rodents; they are abundant in nature and can run into both the garage and the house. Inexplicable but the fact! Mice and rats love to chew the insulation on wires, and the fact that they can die from an electric shock does not stop them at all! To protect wires and repel rodents, use Liqui Moly Marder-Schutz-Spray - an aromatic composition that suppresses the appetite of rats and mice. Guaranteed protection for two weeks; to prolong the effect you will need additional processing. This product is also useful for protecting electrical wiring. car.

Gasoline stabilization

You can complete the list of necessary chemicals with a gasoline stabilizer. Since fuel is stored in the generator tank and is not consumed immediately, gasoline, especially modern EURO 4-5, oxidizes and loses octane number. After six months, gasoline may generally lose its ability to ignite from a spark of a candle and will only be suitable for lighting a barbecue. And the power supply system of the generator, the carburetor, is not beneficial for long periods of downtime without protection.

Liqui Moly Benzin Stabilisator, which, by the way, is approved by leading manufacturers of power equipment, will help stabilize gasoline and protect the entire power system from corrosion. Before putting the generator away for “combat duty,” fill the tank with gasoline and add 5 liters of additives for every 5 liters of fuel. Then, we start the engine for a couple of minutes to spread the “potion” throughout the system and turn it off. Now the generator can be pushed back into the far corner of the garage in anticipation of the next utility emergency.

P.S. And if it is impossible to start servicing the generator because it simply won’t start, then use an aerosol for quick launch Liqui Moly Start Fix. A couple of seconds of spraying, five seconds of pause and pull the cord. The engine will work even with a flooded spark plug or in severe frost; it is important not to overdo it and not pour half a bottle into the filter at a time.

How long will the generator work without refueling?- Many consumers are interested in this question before purchasing. This is enough important point, because in order to add fuel, you need to turn off the unit and wait for some time until the equipment cools down, because refueling is strictly prohibited when the engine is warm.

How to calculate how long one refill will last

To find out how many hours the device can operate, you need to know the amount of fuel that is consumed per hour and the dimensions of the fuel tank. If you divide the volume of the tank by the amount of gasoline or diesel that is consumed per hour, you will get exact time installation operation. You may ask where to get these measurements. Everything is quite simple, because manufacturers enter these values in the installation documents.

Typically they have the following fuel costs:

  1. Equipment with a power of up to three kilowatts burns approximately 0.7-1.0 liters of fuel per hour of operation.
  2. More powerful units respectively consume from 2 to 2.7 liters of fuel.

Let's give an example so that everyone can understand how to calculate the operating time of a structure at one gas station. Let's take as an example, where the fuel volume is 25 liters, and the fuel consumption per hour is approximately 2.5 liters. It turns out that on one refill, you can use it for a full 10 hours.

It is worth saying that these are only preliminary calculations, because fuel consumption and operating time depend on many factors, such as fuel quality, ambient temperature, etc. weather and, of course, the load level of the device by consumers.

The more equipment connected to the installation, the greater the fuel consumption. The same applies ambient temperature. If there is severe frost outside, the amount of gasoline or diesel consumed will be 10–15% more.

So it is better to check this characteristic from your own experience after successfully purchasing a generator, since it can please its owner with longer work at one gas station than calculations showed, or, conversely, use up all the fuel in a shorter time. This is a technique and its work is always unpredictable, even in such a matter.

In order for the calculations to be even approximately justified, the equipment must be kept in a warm room where there is excellent ventilation and it will not overheat. Also, do not load the structure to the maximum. There should always be 15–20% of power in reserve.

OPERATING MANUAL FOR PETROL MINI POWER PLANT

(using the example of power plants of the ULTRA PG series).

ATTENTION! Please read this manual carefully before starting work. Never use the generator for any purpose or in any way not described in this manual.

1. Safety instructions:

1.1 Remember that gases generated during fuel combustion are harmful to health, so never turn on the generator in a confined space. The generator should only run on open area with good ventilation!
Do not use the generator in an explosive environment!
1.2 Fuel is flammable! Do not open the gas tank cap while the generator is running. Before refueling, turn off the engine and let it cool for 2-3 minutes. Do not refuel the generator near an open flame! Never smoke while refueling!

It is prohibited to connect two generators in a circuit. Do not attempt to connect the generator to mains power. Make sure the extension cord is not damaged and is suitable for the load.

2. Purpose:

Household gasoline mini-power stations ULTRA PG series, hereinafter referred to as generators, are designed to generate single-phase, electric current voltage 220V and frequency 50 Hz. The generator is designed for continuous work within 5-6 hours. at 75% load of rated power.

Operating temperature range from -5°С to +30°С and relative humidity air up to 80% at a temperature of 20°C. Altitude above sea level - no more than 1000m.

3. Generator grounding:

To arrange grounding on open area one of the following grounding conductors must be used:
. metal rod with a diameter of at least 15 mm and a length of at least 1500 mm;
. a metal pipe with a diameter of at least 50 mm and a length of at least 1500 mm;
. sheet of galvanized iron measuring at least 1000 x 500 mm.

Any grounding conductor must be immersed in the ground up to the wet layers of the soil. Grounding switches must be equipped with clamps or other devices that ensure reliable contact connection ground wires with ground electrode. The opposite end of the wire is connected to the generator ground terminal. The ground loop resistance must be at least 4 ohms, and the ground loop must be located in close proximity to the generator.

Every time before starting the generator, check the oil level and add it if necessary. The volume of oil to be filled is 0.6 liters.

The generator is equipped with an oil level sensor and can automatically shut down (or not start) if insufficient oil is added. If the generator stops unexpectedly, check the oil level.

4.3 Check the fuel level:

Before refueling, disconnect all power cables! Make sure the engine switch is in the "OFF" position. Do not smoke while the generator is running. Collect spilled fuel. Do not fill fuel all the way to the neck - leave some space for the tank cap.

4.4 Load calculation:

The single-phase generator you purchased produces alternating current with a voltage of 220V and a frequency of 50Hz. You can only connect single-phase loads to this generator. Loads are divided into active and inductive (reactive). Active ohmic loads include consumers in which almost all consumed energy is converted into heat (incandescent lamps, irons, heaters, electric stoves, hair dryers, etc.). To calculate the total power of such consumers, it is enough to add up the powers indicated on their labels. Inductive loads include consumers with an electric motor, where energy is additionally spent on creating electromagnetic field. This group includes pumps, machines, power tools, washing machines and so on. A measure of load reactivity is the value (cosµ). For example, if for a household 600W drill the value is cosµ = 0.6, then its operation will require a power of 600W / 0.6 = 1000 W, which, of course, must be taken into account when calculating the total power of consumers connected to the generator.

It is very important to remember the high starting currents electric motors, which at the moment of switching on are 2-5 times higher than the values specified in technical documentation. The leader among products with inductive loads is submersible pump, whose energy consumption increases by 7-9 times at the time of startup, so before starting such devices it is necessary to de-energize all other consumers.

It is important to remember that it is recommended to use special generator sets, since work welding machine“from the point of view” of the generator it looks like short circuit.

4.5Attention! If you are using an extension cord, make sure that it is completely unwound and that the cable size matches the load being connected. Use both generator outlets.

Only three-core cables with a cross-section of at least 2.5 mm² can be used as extension cords. Monitor the condition of the extension cable and replace it if necessary. Before using any extension cord, make sure that it is designed for a voltage of 220/230V and a current of at least 16A. A poorly selected extension cord can lead to voltage surges, cable overheating and unstable operation of the consumer.

5. Starting the generator:

Check the generator grounding.
. Open fuel tap 14.
. Press the engine switch button 3.
. Install the choke lever 12 based on the following conditions:
a) if the engine is warm or the ambient temperature is high enough, close the choke lever halfway, or leave it completely open; b) if the engine is cold or the air temperature is low, close the choke lever.
. Pull the starter handle 13 lightly until it engages the engine, and then pull it sharply towards you. The engine should start (without releasing the starter drive handle, return it to its original position). If startup does not occur, check the oil level and the presence of gasoline in the tank.
. Let the engine warm up for 30 seconds and then open choke 12.
. Connect the load power cable to the generator outlet, and then turn on the breaker alternating current 9 to supply voltage to the consumer.

Important! The engine must be run-in during the first 20 hours of operation. During the break-in period, the generator should not be loaded above 70% of its rated power. After 20 hours of operation, turn off the generator and change the oil, following the instructions in the “Oil Change” paragraph.

6. Turning off the generator(see picture)

Turn off the AC switch 9.
. Disconnect the consumer's power cord.
. Press engine switch 3.
. Close the fuel valve 14.

7. Maintenance Notes:

Before the beginning Maintenance Make sure the generator is grounded, the engine is off, loads are off, and the AC breaker is in the off position. It is recommended that maintenance be carried out in the presence of experienced specialist. If difficulties arise during on-site maintenance, please contact a specialist workshop for assistance.

8.1. Change of oil:

The longevity of the engine depends primarily on the correct choice of oil brand, its quality and timely replacement.
To change the oil:

Warm up the engine;
. Unscrew the oil filler cap;
. remove the plug drain hole and allow the oil to completely drain into a container prepared in advance, placed under the engine;
. check the condition of the seals (gaskets) and replace them if necessary;
. install the drain plug and fill in new oil, guided by the data given in the table;
. screw on the filler cap.

Attention! Do not pour used oil down the drain or onto the ground. Used oil must be drained into special oil collection vessels and sent to waste oil collection points.

8.2 Checking the spark plug:

Remove the spark plug using the included wrench;
. inspect the candle - the skirt of the candle should have a yellowish-brown color;
. clean the spark plug contacts sandpaper, check and adjust the gap between the spark plug electrodes to 0.7-0.8 mm;
. install the spark plug and tighten it, controlling the tightening torque using a nanometer (required value - 20 N.m);
. if necessary, replace the spark plug.

After preventive maintenance or replacement of the spark plug, do not forget to install a tip with a wire on it.

8.3 Checking the muffler:

Allow the muffler to cool;
. unscrew the fastening screw and remove the muffler;
. Clean the muffler from carbon deposits with a wire brush and install the muffler back;
. Replace the muffler if necessary.

8.4 Cleaning the air filter.

Unscrew the filter cover;
. Remove the filter element and wash it thoroughly with B70 gasoline. The use of solvents is prohibited.
. place a small amount of oil into the filter element (drain off excess);
. Replace the air filter and install the cover (make sure the cover fits snugly against the housing.

8.5 Cleaning the fuel tap filter:

To remove the fuel tap filter, use a wrench to unscrew the cuff located at the bottom of the fuel tap;
. Clean and reinstall the filter and cuff.

8.6 Cleaning the fuel tank filter:

The plastic filter is located under the gas filler cap;
. remove the filter with your fingers, wash it with gasoline and blow it out;
. After cleaning, install the filter back.

9. Troubleshooting:

If the generator fails to start:

Make sure the engine switch is in the "on" position;
. make sure the fuel valve is open;
. check the oil level and add it if necessary;
. remove the spark plug and perform the work specified in paragraph 9.2. Place the tip with the wire and ensure contact of the spark plug body with the engine body. Pull the starter and make sure the spark plug produces a spark. If there is no spark, replace the spark plug.

The generator still does not start:

Make sure the fuel tap filter is not dirty;
. check the fuel hose;
. make sure that the carburetor is not clogged (bleed the jets).

If the engine still does not start:

Check the ignition system; if it is faulty, contact a repair shop;
. check the condition of the starter;
. make sure the cylinder head bolts are securely tightened;
. Check the condition of the cylinder gasket and replace it if necessary.

10. Preservation of the generator and its storage, re-preservation:

Before long-term storage:

Drain fuel from the gas tank, fuel system and carburetor;
. pour a glass of oil into the gas tank and tilt the generator in different sides, in order to lubricate the walls of the gas tank;
. drain excess oil;
. Remove the spark plug and pour 1 tbsp into the hole. a spoonful of oil, pull the starter cord several times with the engine off and install the spark plug back;
. clean the generator housing, thin layer apply lubricant to areas prone to rust;
. Place the generator on a flat surface in the storage area and cover it with clean, dry material.

The generator should be stored in a dry room at a temperature not lower than 0°C.

After long-term storage of the generator, it is necessary to deconservate it, for which the following work must be performed:

Disconnect the fuel tap and rinse it thoroughly with gasoline;
. Disconnect the carburetor, wash it with gasoline and blow out the jets. With absence compressed air blow out the jets and channels with a rubber bulb. It is strictly forbidden to use metal wire and needles to clean jets and channels;
. Shut off the outlet of the fuel tank, pour 1-1.5 liters of 92 grade gasoline into the tank and, shaking the generator, rinse the tank. Remove the plugs and drain the gasoline;
. Reinstall the carburetor and valve;
. Remove previously applied grease from the generator housing;
. Remove the candle, clean it and rinse it;
. Pour gasoline into the tank;
. Check the oil level and add it if necessary;
. When storing the generator “under conservation” for more than 6 months, the oil must be changed;
. Start the generator according to step 6.

The operation of gasoline electric generators has its own characteristics. Compliance with a number of rules when installing and further using such units will extend their service life and increase the level of safety. Most of the nuances are due to the fact that the gas generator includes two main components - the engine and the electricity generator.

Gas generators are installed both indoors and outdoors. If the unit is installed outdoors, it is necessary to protect it from aggressive factors such as precipitation or dirt. The electric unit can be placed in a barn or other outbuilding. Such placement is also optimal due to such properties of the electric generator as fire hazard, noise and the presence of harmful exhausts.

When placing the gas generator inside a residential building, it can be installed in a ventilated basement or garage.

In order to eliminate vibrations, the generator must be installed at an ideal flat surface. There are certain requirements for the premises. Yeah, it shouldn't be here high humidity. Otherwise, a short circuit may occur. The generator is installed in a dry place where there is no access Sun rays. The room needs to be organized high-quality ventilation and air conditioning, this is required to cool air-ventilated gasoline generators.

It is necessary to exclude the appearance of sources near gas generators open flame. This is necessary in order to minimize the risk of fire, because the generator uses highly flammable fuel. Smoking and working with open flames should not be allowed near gasoline-powered electrical units.

Preparing a gasoline generator for operation.

Before starting the gas generator, you should carry out some visual inspection. First of all, you need to check whether it is grounded. You need to check the fuel level; if it is low, refueling is necessary. It must be borne in mind that adding fuel while the engine is running is prohibited. If the electric generator is rarely used, and the interval between starts is more than a month, the fuel remaining in the tank must be completely drained. If the unit operates infrequently, it is better to change the fuel regularly.

You should also check for oil. Complete replacement oil is produced every 50-70 operating hours. Mixing is prohibited different types oil (for example, mineral and synthetic), this will lead to rapid engine damage.

Before the first start, it is necessary to check that there are no electrical consumers connected to the this moment to the generator. First carried out trial run using the starter, then the engine turns off, after which it starts again. As the engine warms up, you can increase the load on the electric generator. In this case, it is necessary to ensure that the total power of consumers does not exceed the generated energy.

Starting the gas generator.

First of all, a new, unpacked gasoline generator must be carefully checked for mechanical and other damage received during transportation.

Gasoline generators are transported without oil. Therefore, before turning on for the first time, it is necessary to fill in a certain amount of oil, otherwise the engine will not work. The oil level is checked every time before starting.

When using an extension cord, it must be completely unwound and checked for proper cross-section rated load. The extension cable must be three-core, with a cross-section of more than 2.5 mm2.

  1. Grounding is checked;
  2. The fuel tap opens;
  3. The engine turns on;
  4. The damper lever is set based on two factors. When the engine is warm or the ambient temperature is high, the throttle lever remains open or closes halfway. When the engine is cold and the temperature is low, the lever closes;
  5. Next, move the starter handle slightly. When it begins to contact the engine, the handle must be pulled sharply towards you. The engine starts, after which the starter handle returns to its original position. If the start is unsuccessful, you need to check the oil and gasoline;
  6. When the engine warms up, you need to open the damper;
  7. The power cable is connected to the electrical generator outlet. Next, using an AC switch, electricity is supplied to the consumer;
    During the first 20 operating hours, the engine is run-in. During break-in, it is not recommended to load the gasoline electric generator more than 70% of the nominal value. After 20 operating hours, the oil must be changed.
  1. The AC switch is turned off;
  2. The power cable is disconnected;
  3. The engine turns off;
  4. The fuel valve is turned on.

When connecting a computer and other highly sensitive equipment, it is worth installing a voltage stabilizer. The electricity generated by a gas generator is not always stable.

If a gasoline mini-power station is used quite actively, it is necessary to carefully monitor the service life Supplies and service life of various engine components.

When carrying out maintenance, it is necessary to use only those brands of fuel and oil that are specified in the documentation for the electric generator. Adding oil is carried out only when the engine is turned off and cooled down. If you remove the oil filler cap while the engine is running, you may be seriously burned.

Before long downtime it is necessary to drain the fuel from the tank and lubricate everything important nodes. Long-term storage gas generators are carried out only in rooms with air temperatures above zero.
