Purpose and operating conditions

Thermal curtains TZK-INNOVENT are intended for use in residential, civil and industrial buildings and premises to prevent the penetration of cold, hot air, dust, gases, etc. through open gates, doors and other openings. The possibility of using curtains for main or additional heating is decided individually, depending on the initial data received from the Customer, using a control system with additional options or a special design.
The curtains are used to process air with temperatures from –40 0 C to +40 0 C (+45 0 C for tropical versions), in temperate (U) and tropical (T) climates of the 2nd category of placement, no worse, according to GOST 15150.
The presence of inclusions that are aggressive towards steel of ordinary quality, explosive mixtures, sticky, fibrous and abrasive substances with a dust content of no more than 100 mg/m 3 is not allowed in the air of the serviced premises. The root mean square value of the vibration velocity of external vibration sources in places where curtains are installed should not exceed 2 mm/s.

Equipment

The air-thermal curtain TZK-INNOVENT consists of a power unit, an air distribution box and a flexible insert connecting the power unit with the air distribution box.
The basic power unit includes:

  • Safety net at the entrance;
  • Fan;
  • Heater (coolant - water, steam, electricity).

Power block elements of standard sizes 1.6...3.15 are installed on removable brackets, and power block elements of standard sizes 4...6.3 are mounted on a common frame.
When ordering TZK-INNOVENT in a special version, a silencer and/or filter can be additionally included in the power unit, as well as other agreed requirements can be met.
Fan units for curtains No. 1,6...4 can be made both in a sound-attenuated design and without sound-attenuation. Fan units No. 5 and 6.3 are available only in a noise-attenuated design.
At the customer's request, the air distribution box can be made of galvanized steel or steel of ordinary quality, followed by the application of paint and varnish, including a noise-attenuated design.
Air-thermal curtains operating in humid environments, such as car washes, are equipped with specially designed electric motors with a degree of protection IP54 and, in the case of electric heating, stainless steel heating elements.

Layout options for air-thermal curtains

TZK-INNOVENT thermal curtains are produced with different configurations of the power unit and transfer box.
The recommended location of the curtains is with a vertical transfer box. Curtains with a horizontal duct arrangement above the gate must be installed in exceptional cases, since when air is supplied from above, there is a significantly greater likelihood of warm air being carried out of the room than with lateral one- or two-sided supply.
As a standard, TZK-INNOVENT air-thermal curtains are produced with a transfer box that ensures flow exits from the slots parallel to the gate plane. At the same time, in the event of a breakthrough of cold air into the room, most of the air heated in the curtain is returned to the room.
The version of the air-thermal curtain is determined by the availability of free space in the gate area and the type of gate. In practice, a fan-thermal unit with a water or electric heat exchanger can be installed in any position and connected to the transfer box with an appropriate adapter.
When installing curtains in a room with a small ceiling height, the power unit can be connected to the box with a rotating elbow - corner curtains A, B.

Particularly compact curtains

If there is no free space above the gate, corner curtains, especially compact C, D, are used.
In some cases, it is preferable to use air curtains with one power unit operating on two transfer boxes - E, F. If adjacent gates are opened alternately, then air curtains with one power unit are installed in the openings between the gates, designed to work with air outlet on one of the sides - G, H; or the particularly compact version I. The boxes use electrically actuated air valves, set to the closed position when the gate is closed. When one of the gate leaves opens, the corresponding air valve automatically opens and the air supply is turned on.
If there is no free space, especially compact curtains with a vertical box J or with a horizontal box - K, L are used. Air-thermal curtains with a steam heat exchanger have significantly fewer layout options due to the specific orientation of the heater and cannot have a vertical power unit.

  • Further use of the air curtain that was operating during a fire is PROHIBITED.

Design and principle of operation

  • Air smoke curtain in basicperformance consists of a fan and a transfer box. Curtains No. 2 can be equipped with removable support brackets. In other curtains, the brackets are included in the fan.
  • The electric motor included in the fan is connected directly without a terminal box. Use a heat-resistant cable to connect the motor to the network. The cable is not included in the delivery set, but can be supplied upon request, indicating the length.
  • The air distribution box must be placed horizontally above the gate on the side of the vehicle storage room. The air distribution box is attached to the fan without a flexible insert and supplies air to the gate area parallel to its plane, protecting the entire width of the opening.
  • Air curtains with an air distribution box length of up to 4 m are supplied assembled (the fan and all elements of the air distribution box are interconnected). If the length of the air distribution box is more than 4 m, the air curtain is supplied in two or more assembly units that are marked accordingly.
  • In accordance with the requirements of MGSN 5.01-01, the anti-smoke curtain provides a speed of air jets from the air distribution duct of at least 10 m/s with an initial jet thickness of at least 0.03 m and a jet width of at least the width of the protected opening.
  • The curtain is activated by a fire alarm signal.
