I'm open to correction, but I believe the term was recently coined. There is nothing wrong. Because no one directly said that this remedy is thousands of years old. However, this made me suspicious from the start.

Drinking salt for “detoxification”

The health requirements associated with salt water vary greatly. If you believed everything you read, it's pretty much a cure. However, you need to take these claims with a grain of salt, so to speak.
