See what "Karaulov, Yuri Nikolaevich" is in other dictionaries. Karaulov, Yuri Nikolaevich - Russian language and language personality Approximate word search

To narrow the search results, you can refine the query by specifying the fields to search on. The list of fields is presented above. For example:

You can search across multiple fields at the same time:

logical operators

The default operator is AND.
Operator AND means that the document must match all the elements in the group:

research development

Operator OR means that the document must match one of the values in the group:

study OR development

Operator NOT excludes documents containing this element:

study NOT development

Search type

When writing a query, you can specify the way in which the phrase will be searched. Four methods are supported: search based on morphology, without morphology, search for a prefix, search for a phrase.
By default, the search is based on morphology.
To search without morphology, it is enough to put the "dollar" sign before the words in the phrase:

$ study $ development

To search for a prefix, you need to put an asterisk after the query:

study *

To search for a phrase, you need to enclose the query in double quotes:

" research and development "

Search by synonyms

To include synonyms of a word in the search results, put a hash mark " # " before a word or before an expression in brackets.
When applied to one word, up to three synonyms will be found for it.
When applied to a parenthesized expression, a synonym will be added to each word if one was found.
Not compatible with no-morphology, prefix, or phrase searches.

# study

grouping

Parentheses are used to group search phrases. This allows you to control the boolean logic of the request.
For example, you need to make a request: find documents whose author is Ivanov or Petrov, and the title contains the words research or development:

Approximate word search

For an approximate search, you need to put a tilde " ~ " at the end of a word in a phrase. For example:

bromine ~

The search will find words such as "bromine", "rum", "prom", etc.
You can optionally specify the maximum number of possible edits: 0, 1, or 2. For example:

bromine ~1

The default is 2 edits.

Proximity criterion

To search by proximity, you need to put a tilde " ~ " at the end of a phrase. For example, to find documents with the words research and development within 2 words, use the following query:

" research development "~2

Expression relevance

To change the relevance of individual expressions in the search, use the sign " ^ " at the end of an expression, and then indicate the level of relevance of this expression in relation to the others.
The higher the level, the more relevant the given expression.
For example, in this expression, the word "research" is four times more relevant than the word "development":

study ^4 development

By default, the level is 1. Valid values are a positive real number.

Search within an interval

To specify the interval in which the value of some field should be, you should specify the boundary values in brackets, separated by the operator TO.
A lexicographic sort will be performed.

Such a query will return results with the author starting from Ivanov and ending with Petrov, but Ivanov and Petrov will not be included in the result.
To include a value in an interval, use square brackets. Use curly braces to escape a value.

Yuri Nikolayevich Karaulov is an outstanding representative of the Russian humanities, a major specialist in the theory of language and Russian studies. He is the author of over 300 scientific papers on problems of Russian and general linguistics, including 12 monographs and 11 dictionaries. The research activity of the scientist is connected with three scientific areas - this is the "theory of linguistic personality", "associative linguistics", "theory and practice of lexicography". Closely related to each other, they are reflected in such well-known works by Yu.N. Karaulova as “General and Russian Ideography” (1976), “Linguistic Construction and Thesaurus of the Literary Language” (1981), “Russian Language and Linguistic Personality” (1987, 2002, 2003. 2004), “Pushkin’s Dictionary and the Evolution of Russian Language Ability ” (1992), “Associative Grammar of the Russian Language” (1993); in fundamentally new dictionaries - semantic, associative, metaphors, artistic speech.

Yu.N. Karaulov demonstrated a fundamentally new approach to the study of the semantic side of the language, which was called the “thesaurus method in semantics”. The theory of ideography developed by the author made it possible to identify common patterns in the organization of the lexical system at all its levels - from the microstructure of the word and the structure of the semantic field to the picture of the world reflected in the language as a whole. It is in this book that Yu.N. Karaulov formulates the "rule of six steps", reflecting such a property of the dictionary as its semantic continuity. The continuation and next step in the development of lexicographic ideas was the work “Linguistic construction and the thesaurus of the literary language” (1981). The concept of the thesaurus, which is most important for ideography, received a new interpretation here. Thesaurus for Yu.N. Karaulova is “any dictionary that explicitly fixes the semantic relations between its constituent units”. Such an understanding of the thesaurus made it possible in the early 80s of the twentieth century to set the task of creating a dictionary of the Russian language of the thesaurus type, which was carried out later.

Developed by Yu.N. Karaulov's theory of creating thesaurus dictionaries, his substantiated idea of the parametric structure and typology of dictionaries as the principles on which the automation of the content aspects of lexicographic work is based, were implemented by the author himself in practice - when creating semantic dictionaries of the Russian language using a computer. (“Frequency Dictionary of Semantic Multipliers of the Russian Language” 1980, “Russian Semantic Dictionary” 1982, co-authored). The ideas of constructing a thesaurus based on the vocabulary parametrization procedure formed the basis for the construction of other original dictionaries by Yu.N. Karaulov, including The Dictionary of Russian Political Metaphors (1994, co-authored with A.N. Baranov).

The book develops techniques for constructing new linguistic objects, called the principles of linguistic construction, characterizes the trend towards lexicographic parametrization of the language in modern linguistics, and conducts a parametric analysis of dictionaries.

The proposed understanding of the parameter finds application in the process of constructing a Russian thesaurus on a computer. The results of automatic processing of information contained in dictionary definitions are then analyzed in order to identify the relationship between the lexical and syntactic components in their semantics.

Russian language and language personality

This book deals with one of the most interesting questions of linguistics - the question of the forms of existence of the language and the ways of its use. Developing the concept of a linguistic personality, the author shows that it is a backbone for describing the national language and on its basis it is possible to achieve a new synthesis of knowledge about the Russian language, refracted through the structure of the Russian linguistic personality.

Dictionary of the language of Dostoevsky. The lexical structure of the idiolect. Release 1

The “Dictionary of Dostoevsky's Language” is implemented as a lexicographic series, including several types of dictionaries (basic, frequency, toponyms, grammatical words, phraseological units, etc.), which, according to the plan, should represent the writer's idiolect with maximum completeness. The series opens with "The Lexical Structure of the Idiolect", which consists of several issues and is built on the vocabulary of the most important lexical units for the author, representing the world of a linguistic personality - a word artist, philosopher, publicist, Russian person of the second half of the 19th century.

The first release of the basic dictionary in the lexicographic series "Dictionary of the Language of Dostoevsky" is characterized by two distinctive features in a number of other author's dictionaries - a dictionary and the structure of a dictionary entry. The dictionary is made up of idioglosses, i.e. lexical units structuring the world of a linguistic personality. The dictionary entry is also focused on revealing the world of the artist of the word and contains a description of the key parameters of all levels of organization of a linguistic personality.
