Installation

Installation of brick siding includes the following steps:

  1. Inspection and elimination of defects in the facade wall;
  2. Installation of lathing (load-bearing - vertically; when planning insulation, the first layer is installed horizontally);
  3. Installation of corner profiles;
  4. Setting the starting bar;
  5. Separation (banding) of window openings;

Preparatory work

Facade cladding begins with calculating the required number of panels and preparing the external walls. Lathing

Lathings are usually represented by metal profiles or wooden logs. The strength and durability of metal profiles is much higher, while wood is suitable for one-story houses or houses with wooden walls. To extend their service life, metal profiles are coated with compounds that prevent corrosion, and wooden profiles are impregnated with fire retardants and antiseptic substances. Fastening is carried out using brackets.

Installation of panels

The siding is installed on the sheathing and secured with self-tapping screws. The panels themselves are connected like a lock. Installation begins from the corner, moving along the wall. Corners and openings are designed using ready-made corners, platbands and other additional elements.

Considering the peculiarities of our climatic conditions, there is an urgent need for the use of insulation. They are laid between the profiles, and the thickness is calculated taking into account the thermal conductivity of the wall material, paying special attention to the junction of thermal insulation and sheathing, since gaps can form in these places, negating the properties of insulated brick siding.
