My review will be specifically about pregnancy management in this institution.

How to register?

Having found out about my pregnancy in mid-December, I expected to register before the New Year.

But they made an appointment for me with the local gynecologist only on January 13... On the appointed day, I came to the appointment, but they didn’t register me, but, fortunately, they took all the tests.

After 10 days I was “officially pregnant” with all that it entails. The deadline was 10 weeks (thanks for making it before 12 weeks!).

They immediately gave me a referral for the first screening, but when I found out that the LCD did not have 3D ultrasound, I decided not to even sign up. As a result, I did all the screenings for a fee, in Medica Clinic on Pulkovskaya.

District doctor.

I have no complaints about the doctor: she is an attentive young woman who, within 15 minutes of her appointment, manages to fill out the paperwork and answer all the questions. I am very grateful to her for the fact that she correctly selected the treatment for chlamydia and saved me from the infection at 14 weeks!

I arrived at all appointments on time and regularly took urine tests the day before the date of the doctor’s visit. Here, of course, I am very lucky that I live a five-minute walk from the maternity hospital.

They always made an appointment for me at a time that was convenient for me (usually before work).

An even bigger advantage was the test for latent diabetes mellitus (glucose tolerance test). In this antenatal clinic, it is administered to all pregnant women at 22-24 weeks. Few of my friends have had it done, but I can say for sure that diabetes in pregnant women is a very insidious thing, and such research should be carried out on all expectant mothers!

I would also like to highlight the queues. They were. In the worst of times, my doctor was seeing three areas at the same time! And these are as many as three people recorded at 09:45, plus those who “came in for a certificate” and patients with “acute pain”. Once I spent 2.5 hours in line...

Tests and appointments with specialists.

This is a complete failure, which is why I removed the consultation from 2 stars.

Imagine, in order to take a general blood test, smear, culture from the cervical canal, or just for an appointment with a therapist or endocrinologist, you need to PERSONALLY come to the reception desk, stand in line and, of course, they will offer you exactly the time that either does not suit the deadline, or It's just inconvenient for you. But you also need to remember on the appointed day that at 09:15 you are scheduled to donate blood for ferritin! Just nonsense.

Need I say that I took similar tests in private laboratories? At a time when it is convenient for ME. Here I am with both hands for the comfort of the patient. Why not make a more flexible system for making appointments with doctors and tests?

Staff attitude.

Satisfactory. Honey. The receptionists are not always polite, and neither are the nurses in the treatment room. When my doctor was on vacation, the appointment was conducted by a doctor from a neighboring area. So, the midwife she works with is simply a fiend. Seeing a weight gain of 1200 g instead of the required 800 g, she yelled at me, saying that I “eat everything that is not nailed down.” But in fact, before the reception, I, stupidly enough, blew out a whole liter of Arkhyz water. Here's a raise for you!)

Moreover, at the next appointment I was already minus 500 g, and the same doctor wrote “weight deficiency” in my chart.

Thanks to my local doctor, who cared for me responsibly and competently throughout my pregnancy, my impressions of the antenatal clinic were not the worst.

But I definitely won’t be observed there at my place of residence.
