Design and principle of operation of a plate heat exchanger:

Plate heat exchangers "TR" consist of a front fixed and rear movable steel plates. Plates with spacers are pulled between the plates. They have two guides; with the help of two guides the plates are installed in in the right position. In the heat exchanger, the plates are compressed to required size tie rods and have plates that are rotated one after the other by 180°. As a result, channels are formed between the plates, creating turbulent flow liquids. Installation of plates in heat exchangers ensures alternation of channels with heating and heated media. Equipment of the “TR” brand ensures the heat exchange process (heating and/or cooling). During the heat exchange process, liquids move towards each other in countercurrent. In “TR” heat exchangers, the connecting pipes are located both on a fixed plate (single-pass “TR”) and on a moving plate (double-pass “TR”, three-pass “TR”). The capacity of a plate heat exchanger depends on the size and number of plates.

Design

Plate heat exchangers consist of two steel tie plates, between which plates with rubber gaskets are tightly clamped. Using two guides, the plates are installed in the desired position and tightened to the required size of the heat exchanger with tie rods. The power of the heat exchanger depends on the size and number of plates and is calculated according to a special computer program. Heat exchangers are manufactured following types: one-way, two-way, three-way. Heat exchangers are manufactured in three sizes from stainless steel EN 1.4301 (AISI 304) or acid-resistant steel EN 1.4401 (AISI 316), plate gaskets are made from EPDM rubber. To carry out cleaning, the heat exchangers are washed with a special solution or disassembled, replacing, if necessary, plates and rubber gaskets. At the request of the customer, changes can be made to the design.
