Experience can be calculated. You can do this yourself or an accountant can do the work. To manually determine the duration of the period, you will need a copy of the work book and insert, a calculator, a sheet of paper, and a pen.

To do it manually, write down the periods of work in chronological order on a separate sheet of paper. From the date of dismissal at the enterprise, subtract the date of employment. Write out the data separately. Do not try to add labor periods in all organizations at once - this will lead to errors. What periods to consider.

Two ways to calculate seniority with examples

If the result of the calculation is a negative number of months or days, proceed as follows. When only the number of months turned out to be negative, reduce the resulting value by one, and add 12 to the number of months. Then reduce 12 by a negative number of months.

When the number of days turned out to be negative, reduce the number of months obtained by one. Add 30 to days, decrease them by a negative number. Keep in mind that when calculating in each period, a day is lost. Therefore, add to the resulting number exactly as many days as there were periods of admission and dismissal. It is this order that is established by the Instruction approved.

Example when days are negative

Ivanova has three periods in her work:

  • from May 27, 1996 to March 13, 2003, she worked as a courier for ZAO Omega;
  • from March 19, 2003 to January 31, 2004 - at Germes LLC;

On August 11, 2006, the employee went to work in another company. Sum of employment dates: 05/27/1996 + 03/19/2003 + 02/01/2004 = 10/47/6003. The sum of the dates of layoffs: 03/13/2003 + 01/31/2004 + 08/04/2006 = 12/48/6013.

The difference between the number of dismissal dates and the sum of admission dates: 12/48/6013 - 10/47/6003 = 02/01/0010 (10 years 2 months 1 day). Add three days to the resulting number, since there were so many periods of admission and dismissal. It turns out that the length of service is 10 years, 2 months and 4 days.

The difference between the sum of the dates of dismissals and the sum of the dates of admissions: 12/46/6017 - 10/47/6003 = (-01).02.0014. Since the number of days is negative, to determine the length of service, subtract one from the number of months, and add 30 to the number of days, from which subtract the negative value (-01). The resulting value will be 01/29/14 (14 years 1 month 29 days). Add three more days. The total length of service will be 14 years 2 months 2 days.

How to calculate seniority online?

To simplify the work, you can calculate the length of service online. So you will avoid mistakes, because the program rarely crashes. It is designed in such a way that every 30 days are automatically converted into a month, and 12 months into a calendar year. But this does not mean that you do not need to check the entered data. After their introduction, check the information again with what is available.

  • In the columns, enter the dates of hiring, dismissal in the format day, month, year. Enter data manually or use a special calendar.
  • If there are other periods that are counted as seniority, include them in the program.
  • Click the "calculate" button. See how long the employee worked.
  • If errors are found, re-enter the information.

When the idea of ​​automating the process of calculating the total experience came to my mind, I began to think about how to write a program. Writing such an experience calculator is quite simple. A program for calculating seniority can even be made in MsWord. To write a program, it would be easier for me to use MSAccess, but not everyone has it. I also did not consider the final format of the exe file, since many are afraid to download and run unknown files on their computer. To calculate the length of service, open the calculator.xls file and enter all periods of work on the work book in the cells with a yellow background, as seen in the screenshot below.

Enter the dates in the format DD.MM.YYYY (after entering, they are displayed as DD.MM.YY).

Dates are not controlled, that is, you yourself must monitor the correctness of the input. The order of the periods does not matter. If, when entering, you missed any period from the work book, there is no need to insert it in the middle. This period can be inserted at the end of the list.

When calculating, every 30 days is considered as a month, and 12 months as a year. It is also taken into account that the day of dismissal is included in the length of service.

In the cells on a green background, as you enter, data on the length of service for each period will appear, and on a light turquoise background under the inscription "total years months days" - the total length of service.

Calculate the total work experience manually

The procedure for calculating the length of service according to the work book manually:

  • write out all periods of work according to the work book,
  • calculate the number of days, months and years for each individual period of service,
  • calculate the total length of service by summing the length of service for all periods.

An example of calculating seniority

Consider the calculation of seniority on an example.

Let's take the following period of work according to the work book:
hired 08/04/1984,
dismissed 08/02/1996.

You need to start calculating the experience from the days. From the day of dismissal, we subtract the day of employment and add one, since the day of dismissal is also considered a working day, that is
2 - 4 +1 = -1.

But since the result is less than zero, you need to take a unit of months, and this unit of months is equal to 30 days.

We get
30 + 2 - 4 +1 = 29 days

Now let's count the months, remembering that we took the unit when counting the days, that is, we need to subtract 1 from the months:
8 - 8 - 1 = -1.

Since the result is again less than zero, you need to take one from the number of years, that is, take 12 months.

As a result, we get
12 + 8 - 8 -1 = 11 months

Now we count the years, remembering that we took the unit when counting the months
1995 - 1984 -1 = 11 years

As a result of the calculations, it turned out that the length of service for the period was 11 years 11 months 29 days.

If when calculating the days it would turn out 30 or 31, in this case it would be necessary to convert this number of days into full months, that is, subtract 30 days and add one to the number of months.

The total experience is determined according to the same rules by adding days, then months and years of experience for all periods.

For example, take 2 periods
accepted - 08/04/1984, dismissed - 08/02/1996 (experience for a period of 11 years 11 months 29 days)
accepted - 09/15/1997, dismissed - 10/25/2001 (experience for a period of 4 years 1 month 11 days).

Let's sum up the days first:
29 + 11 = 40.

Since a full month is considered 30 days, subtract 30 from the amount received
40 - 30 = 10 days.

Let's take into account that it will be necessary to add 1 to the number of months.

Sum up the months
11 + 1 + 1 = 13.

It turned out more than 12 months. Since a full year is considered 12 months, subtract 12 from the number of months and add one to the number of years.

So, months will turn out
13 - 12 = 1 month

Let's sum up the years:
11 + 4 + 1 = 16 years old.

In total, the total length of service was 16 years 1 month 10 days.

As you can see, calculating the total length of service manually is quite time consuming, and it is easy to make a mistake.

Purpose of the program for calculating the length of service

The program is designed to calculate the total length of service according to entries in the work book for filling out clause 8 of Form No. T-2 “Employee's Personal Card”, as well as the length of service for calculating benefits for disability certificates.

The program consists of two files: "Experience calculation.exe" and "data.xls". The "data.xls" file is used as a database that stores the names of employees, data on periods of work and dates of employment.

Employee names, seniority periods, and hiring dates are added in a clickable form "New". After saving the results, the new worker becomes available for selection in the drop-down list "Worker".

The length of service is calculated automatically when you select an employee in the drop-down list.

To get the length of service for calculating benefits, you must enter the starting date of the period of incapacity for work and click the button "Recalculate the length of service at the date of commencement of disability". To calculate the length of service for sick leave, the date of employment must also be filled out.

If you need to correct the name of the employee, periods of work, or you forgot to enter the date of employment, then select the employee in the list and click the button "Edit".

To date, the appointment and payment of temporary disability benefits to insured persons are regulated by the following regulations:

To determine the size of the sick leave, it is first necessary to calculate worker's insurance record.

The amount of benefits for temporary disability depends on the insurance experience of the employee. When calculating the insurance period, breaks in work do not matter. The periods of labor and other activities are summarized. Calculation of periods of work (service, activity) is carried out in calendar order based on full months (30 days) and a full year (12 months). At the same time, every 30 days of these periods are converted into full months, and every 12 months of these periods are converted into full years (paragraph 21 of the Rules). In order to facilitate the procedure for calculating the insurance period of employees, a program for calculating the period of service was developed, which is used to calculate the calculation of benefits for temporary disability.

The second step in calculating the temporary disability benefit is to determine the amount of the benefit itself.

According to paragraph 1 of Art. 7 of Law N 255-FZ, temporary disability benefits due to illness or injury, during quarantine, prosthetics for medical reasons and aftercare in sanatorium-resort institutions immediately after inpatient treatment are paid in the following amount:

    In the presence of insurance experience of 8 years or more - 100 percent of average earnings;

    In the presence of insurance experience from 5 to 8 years - 80 percent of average earnings;

    In the presence of insurance experience from 6 months to 5 years - 60 percent of average earnings.

If the insurance period of the employee is less than six months, the amount of the temporary disability benefit cannot exceed the minimum wage for a full calendar month, and in areas and localities where regional wage coefficients are applied, the benefit is paid in an amount not exceeding the minimum wage. remuneration, taking into account these coefficients (clause 6, article 7 of Law N 255-FZ).

The personnel officer indicates the duration of the insurance period on the disability certificate. When calculating and confirming the insurance period, it is necessary to be guided by the Rules.

1.According to Art. 11 of Law N 255-FZ, a pregnancy and childbirth benefit is paid to a woman in the amount of 100 percent of average earnings with an insurance period of at least 6 months

2.
