Many summer residents use a variety of available materials to decorate their plots; one of the simplest options is to make various decorations from plastic bottles. The use of this option has a lot of advantages: low cost and availability of the material, ease of operation and the ability to manufacture the most various crafts. You don't need to have any special skills or use special tool, everything is very, very simple.

What do you need for work?

As you know, plastic bottles are often simply thrown away, however, the material can be given a second life, especially since very little is needed:

Bottles The most suitable products for work are: different colors and sizes - from small to large. In some cases, the color of the products matters, but if desired, you can use any materials
Scissors and sharp knife Almost any work involves big amount cutting, sometimes it is more convenient to use scissors, but sometimes a knife is better. It all depends primarily on what is more convenient for you to work with.
Rigid wire or metal rods These materials are needed when creating products that are additionally reinforced with a frame to impart reliability and resistance to deformation. It is important to choose the optimal elasticity option so that it can ensure sufficient stability of the frame
Paint for plastic Any composition that fits well on plastic will do. The choice of colors depends on what color design you have chosen for future designs. Acrylic-based compositions are most often used; their price is low and their quality is quite high.

Important!
Remember that all products will be located outdoors and will be exposed to many adverse influences: sun, high humidity, temperature changes and so on.
That is why it is necessary to use weather-resistant compounds that can maintain color and structure for at least several years.

Main Use Cases

As noted above, you can make the most various crafts from plastic bottles for the garden. It is important to choose an option that you like and that will organically fit into the decor of your site.

Palm trees

A very popular option due to the fairly simple workflow and excellent result ultimately. The most important thing is that, having learned how to make palm trees, you can easily make any other tree, since the principle of operation is exactly the same.

Let's consider the manufacturing technology step by step:

  • To work you need a knife or scissors, wire or metal rod to make the frame and the bottles themselves. It is best to use green products for leaves, and brown for the body. As a last resort, the trunk can be painted, but it is still better to make the branches initially green.
  • First, brown bottles are cut in half and teeth are cut along the top edge as shown in the photo. It is worth considering that the work will require a very large number of blanks, so take care of the necessary supply in advance so that the work does not stop halfway.

  • Next, take a strong pin with a diameter of 5-8 mm, you can use reinforcement, or you can use any other metal element suitable for height. It is worth considering that part of the element will go into the ground, for reliable fixation; for large crafts, it may even be necessary to concrete the base in order to give the necessary stability.
  • Next, the blanks are strung onto a pin, after which the corner elements are bent to give the trunk even more naturalness and resemblance to a real tree.. Of course, you don’t have to make folds, but with them, similar crafts from plastic bottles for the garden look much more interesting.

Important!
Be sure to remove labels from bottles in advance, as they can ruin the appearance of the finished product.
Sometimes they come off easily, but if they are difficult to remove, you can place the products in hot water for a few seconds - then the process will be much easier and faster.

  • Next, green products are taken, first of all, the bottom is cut off, after which the petals of future branches are cut. They can have a wide variety of configurations - from straight to figuredly carved. Everything again depends on your desires and preferences; your imagination is not limited to anything.

  • Next, the finished leaves are strung on pins, after which they can be bent to make them even more naturalistic.. Lastly, all the elements are connected to each other, the easiest way to do this is by welding, but if you don’t have the equipment, you can use special clamping clamps, which are sold in all construction fastener stores.

Flowerbeds

Compact flower bed:

  • You can take any container as a base, the main thing is to choose optimal size, a barrel cut in half, a stack will do car tires or anything else.
  • Next, the base is installed in in the right place and getting ready cement-sand mortar in a ratio of 1 part cement to 2 parts sand. Water is added until the consistency of thick sour cream is obtained.
  • Next, take bottles, and you can use both plastic and glass products . The walls of the container are coated with a thick layer of solution, after which the necks of the bottles are stuck into it. The rows are arranged in a checkerboard pattern; you can use variations of different colors to create a pattern or ornament.

  • After the solution hardens (after 1-2 days), the container can be filled, the bottom layer is gravel or crushed stone, it will serve as drainage, and the top layer fertile soil, in which flowers will be planted. The solution, which is visible from above, can be decorated with any available material.

Compositions from bottoms

The instructions for making such a composition are quite simple:

  • Take half bottles, they can be the most various colors, this allows you to create the most unusual compositions.
  • A hill of soil is poured, and the halves are stuck into it, depending on the shape of the slide and the color of the elements, you can create any flower beds.

Design of flower beds and beds

You don’t have to make full-fledged crafts from bottles for your dacha, but use them as decorative element, which, among other things, also has a practical function, which we will consider below:

  • You can take products of the same color, or you can use any options, but later they will have to be painted to improve appearance compositions. The most important thing is that the size and shape of the bottles are approximately the same.
  • Next, you need to cut off the necks approximately at the point where the narrowing begins, after which the resulting containers are filled with white sand or black soil– this will give them rigidity and simplify installation.
  • Filled blanks are dug in around the perimeter of flower beds or beds; this design will help give the summer cottage originality. In addition, such improvised fences prevent soil from spilling onto the paths - they can be sprinkled with gravel to further improve the appearance of the garden.

Flowerpots

Another very attractive option is a flowerpot; such crafts from plastic bottles for the garden are very easy to work with, but the result is excellent.

There are several options:

  • The simplest solution is to cut off the top of the bottle(then you will get a straight pot) or its bottom (then you will get a cone-shaped one). Naturally, it is best to use large containers, almost any plant can fit in them. Products can be decorated with paints, pebbles or shells - it all depends on your imagination.
  • You can cut off the side of the bottles and make hanging planters, in this way you can decorate any wall. This option allows you to decorate nondescript surfaces.

  • From large containers you can make flowerpots in the shape of various animals or birds, this option is somewhat more difficult to implement, but the result is much more interesting and attractive.

Other options

Country crafts DIY items made from plastic bottles are not always large in size; they can also be very tiny decorative elements.

There are a huge number of options, and we will look at just a few of them:

  • From the bottoms, which often remain during the work process, you can make various figures of animals or fairy tale characters . In this case, coloring is also required in order to achieve maximum similarity.

  • Using a grid with large cells, you can create a flower arrangement. You can do it even simpler: just create flowers, in which the middle will be the bottom of the bottle, and the petals will be the cut elements. The final result depends on how the plastic is cut.

  • If necessary, you can even decorate a fence with bottles- such a fence will last long years and will perfectly fulfill its intended purpose - protection from the penetration of animals. (See also article.)

  • You can do this: simply decorate the products in the form of fairy-tale characters and place them in the garden or vegetable garden. Children really like these figures, and in just a few hours you can create a whole fairy-tale world.

Using traffic jams

During the work process, very often a large number of caps remain, which can also be used to make quite interesting products and compositions:

  • Corks are great for creating bright and elegant garden curtains. The process of their manufacture is extremely simple: each cap is punched using an awl or a screwdriver with a thin drill, after which all the elements are strung on a fishing line or cord.

  • Another fun option is to create paintings from caps.. You can make any composition; the more elements are used, the more colorful the picture will be.

Conclusion

Don't throw it away plastic containers, because with their help you can make your country cottage area unique. The video in this article will clearly show some of the manufacturing options being considered.

The more we treat our site with trepidation, the more great pleasure We strive there not only for work, but also for recreation. When we decorate a garden plot with our own hands, it becomes even more familiar and attractive. This can be done using original figures made from the simplest and most affordable materials, for example, from plastic bottles. Indeed, plastic is easy to cut, model, paint and retain its shape for a long time. The main thing is to show your imagination and devote some time to work. The following are possible options figurines that are appropriate for any garden plot.

Palm

Making palm trees from plastic bottles is a fun and easy process. Therefore, a large number of summer residents decorate their plots with this exotic plant. If you want to join their ranks, stock up on a large number of plastic containers of different sizes (preferably from 1.5 to 2.5 liters) in brown and green shades.

Trunk

The wings consist of two parts: the upper one is assembled from small feathers cut from the bottoms; the lower one is more difficult to manufacture. First you need to cut out the middle part of the bottle, cut it into two parts, and then each of them into rectangles of the same size.

  • Using scissors, the bottle is cut according to the marks made, while the neck remains in the upper part - it is necessary to secure the swan's neck in the hole.
  • The neck frame is made from a hose with wire. It is pushed into the neck and given the desired shape.
  • Feathers are cut from a small plastic bottle. To do this, the bottom and neck are cut off, and feathers of any desired shape are made from the remaining cylinder. It is best to cut the edges of the feathers a little in the form of a fringe, and warm the outside of each feather with a candle.
  • The feathers are collected in twos and secured with wire.
  • For the neck it is best not to use large bottles without a bottom, which are threaded onto the hose upside down. You will need at least 15-20 of them.
  • At the place where the hose ends, you need to make 2 holes in the bottle and the hose itself. Pull the wire through the holes and secure it.
  • The beak itself is best made from a large cap (usually bottles with chemicals). The cap must be cut into 2 parts so that a shape resembling the letter “M” is obtained. The finished beak should be painted.

Finally, your favorite plants should be planted in the finished swan.

Making swans from plastic bottles is a process that requires care and precision. But the result is a very cute and practical craft.

Christmas trees

Of course, almost every garden has living trees, but this does not mean that there is not a little place for a beautiful “artificial” Christmas tree. It can even be decorated during the New Year celebration at the dacha.

It is necessary to prepare in advance plastic bottles of different sizes - 2; 1.5 and 1 liter. For a Christmas tree about 1.2 meters high you will need at least 35-40 green bottles, washed and dried. To make it you will also need scissors, a candle, and a pin.

Manufacturing process:

  • Cut off the bottom of each bottle, cut the side walls into strips about 1.5 cm wide and round their ends. Coniferous branches will look even more interesting if you melt them a little with a candle at the same pitch (about 2 cm).
  • To build a tree trunk - for this it is best to strengthen an iron rod in the ground.
  • Attach the branch to the base: simply string 2-liter bottles onto the trunk, bottom down, then 1.5-liter bottles, and 1-liter bottles on top.
  • If containers of the same volume are used, then after assembling their branches can simply be trimmed so that the tree turns out to be cone-shaped. The lower branches must be straightened, and the upper ones can be left in their original position.

That's all, the Christmas tree from a plastic bottle is ready.

Lamb

In 2015, it is simply impossible not to decorate your summer cottage with the symbol of the coming year - a sheep. It will surely bring good luck to the whole family. Creating such a figure is quite a large-scale undertaking, but the result is impressive.
To work you will need:

  • Plastic bottles: for legs – 4 pcs. 1.5 l and 4 pcs. 2 l each; for the body – 7 pcs. 2 l each; for the head – 3 pcs. 1 l each; for a fur coat - about 20 pieces, 2 liters each (it is important that they have figured bottoms).
  • The wire is best copper.
  • Aerosol paint (white and golden).

A sheep made from plastic bottles is made in the following sequence:

  • The necks of two 2-liter bottles are cut off, and their bases are inserted into each other. Long but narrow ears are attached to them using wire.
  • 2-liter bottles are connected as the body and neck. First, the base is made, and then other bottles are attached to it using wire or tape.
  • The head is attached to the neck.
  • The lower part of the legs is made from 1.5-liter bottles, and the upper part is made from 2-liter bottles. The legs are tightly fixed to the body with wire so that the sheep does not dangle on them.
  • The curly bottoms from 2-liter bottles are cut off and connected to each other with wire. This creates a sheep's coat that covers the body. It is attached to the stomach.
  • The easiest way to make eyes is from corks.
  • The finished sheep can be painted with white spray first, and then a little gold paint is sprayed on top of it.

Such a sheep will look simply wonderful in the summer surrounded by greenery and flowers.

Penguins

A penguin craft made from a plastic bottle is a cute and funny creature that can be used to decorate both your home and garden. This figure is quite simple to make, so your children can become full-fledged assistants in this process.
To make penguins you will need:

  • 2 plastic bottles of 2 liters;
  • colors yellow, black and white flowers, as well as a brush for them;
  • pompon;
  • braid;
  • glue (it’s good if you have a hot glue gun).

Manufacturing process:

  • The bottles are cut crosswise into 2 equal parts.
  • The lower parts are used. They need to be inserted into each other. The halves can be fixed with glue, but even without it the parts are held together quite firmly. The bottom of one bottle functions as the head, the bottom of the other serves as the penguin's paws.
  • Next, you need to paint the penguin figurine - first in a basic white color, and then with black paint to depict the characteristic penguin toe. The hat can be made in any color (in our example it is blue). To bring the penguin to life, he needs to draw eyes and a nose.

For people with imagination and skillful hands, it will not be difficult to turn unnecessary things into real masterpieces. Masters and beginners use crafts from plastic bottles for the interior, like garden decor and in the form of practical furniture. Colored plastic bottle caps are an excellent material for mosaic panels on walls and fences. Best ideas With detailed instructions and the photo can be easily implemented at the dacha, turning a bare area into a “clearing of fairy tales”, and filling the house with useful little things.

Important advantages of crafts made from plastic containers

A well-made souvenir or trinket will eventually develop into a hobby, if there are no limits to your imagination. Summer residents who have moved from simple fences on wire to buildings that delight in scale never cease to amaze.

From available material that many throw away, someone builds:

  • greenhouse;
  • carport;
  • Summer shower or a bathhouse;
  • country toilet or a shed;
  • summer gazebo or sun canopy;
  • mansion for children or playground;
  • sandbox with decorative sides;
  • various temporary buildings on the site.

The main advantage of such structures is available material. At reliable fastening elements of the building walls are aesthetically pleasing and quite reliable. It all depends on the way the plastic bottles are connected. If you approach the matter thoroughly, the desired result will impress even experienced builders.

Over time, plastic becomes a real environmental disaster - it is difficult to recycle. But once you involve everyone who cares in cleaning the area, there will be a whole mountain of empty PET bottles for building a greenhouse, cascading flower bed or vertical gardening. The only drawback is the long collection of identical containers, since the containers are produced different color and volume.

Some manage to collect enough craft material in one season, while others involve neighbors and friends in collecting plastic. Someone decides to clear the area for picnics in order to improve the environment on the way to the dacha and collect material. As a result, the plastic bottles are in use and the area is clean.

Another advantage - plastic container soft and pliable, easy to cut, no complicated tools required. With little skill, the material itself “dictates” ideas.

To create an original decoration you need:

In the hands of a true master, plastic bottles take on a second life, becoming... functional items. It is better to make souvenirs on a seasonal basis. For example, New Year's toys crafts in winter, practical country houses- in the summer, and in the spring and autumn it remains to build a “clearing of fairy tales” near the house for the children.

Recycling plastic containers is a fun activity for the family. It is easy to attract children to him by entrusting him with a simple part of the work. Don’t forget to remind them that you’re not just making a firebird or “Chunga-Changa island” with palm trees from bottles, but that you care about the environment. You can involve a yard or a school classroom in beautifying the area.

Furniture and interior items made from plastic bottles

Furniture made from plastic bottles looks like a masterpiece that is not accessible to everyone. They will require a lot of plastic containers of the same type. Sofas and poufs impress with their design and comfort, not inferior to real furniture. There is nothing complicated if the sofa is made in blocks - seat, back, sides. If the container is not enough, the sofa blocks can be made one at a time. It’s better when you collect bottles from one drink, for example, two-liter kvass or lemonade.

The principle of “assembling” furniture from bottles is simple - they are placed in layers and tightly wrapped with tape. To make the furniture softer and more springy, a little air is released from each bottle and twisted tightly. At the place where the cap is, cut out a cap from another bottle and tape it with tape. It turns out to be a block with a bottom on both sides - this is the basis of the furniture.

Then it all depends on your imagination, the type of furniture and the number of bottles available. We wrapped 7 containers of the same volume with tape to create the base for an ottoman. What its appearance and style will be depends on the master. For a soft seat, you will need a round pillow or a block of foam rubber that fits the size of the top. The cover is cut to the size of the ottoman in the form of a cylinder, and it is convenient to insert a zipper along the side seams, but it is easier to sew the upholstery tightly.

If there is not enough furniture for the summer, an ottoman for the cottage is made from an old wadded blanket and a baby pillow, wrapped in a block of bottles. Old curtains or a bedspread will be used for the lining. If the pouf should have a presentable appearance, choose newer and more expensive fabric or eco-leather.

For construction coffee table You will need 4 racks of plastic bottles and a plywood board as a table top, which can be hidden with a long tablecloth. In a similar way, they make a convenient stand for a laptop or an external table for the garden. For large furniture (sofa, chaise longue or chair) made from plastic bottles, you will need a lot of patience and raw material.

Useful little things for the home from plastic bottles

Flowers and vases

Decorating a schoolchild's bedroom or children's room with crafts from plastic containers is not difficult. You can build a whole bouquet of artificial flowers. Place the resulting chrysanthemums, daisies or roses in a vase made of the same material, adding diode bulbs on an insulated wire to the centers. This is what a night light of extraordinary beauty will look like, where the faint light shimmers in the plastic petals.

Advice: To give the leaves a special shape, use heating the blanks and folding the corners with tongs!

To place a homemade bouquet you will need a suitable vessel; simply cutting off part of the bottle is not aesthetically pleasing. The edges of the cut are marked with a ruler to make the cut, securing the result by heating the bends. A small transparent bottle is cut off to the very top, and about half of a large container is cut off. We choose a material with a ribbed or “waist” in the middle to create an interesting base.

Then we do it as our imagination allows, but we bend the edges beautifully. The fringed cut is obtained from vertical or diagonal cuts in the plastic base. The resulting strips are evenly folded to the outside.

Note! It is important that all the notches and the depth of the slot are absolutely identical, then the entire product will come out neat.

Depending on which edge is desired, the strips of the vase (the edges of any other product) are secured in different ways:

  • curly bend;
  • staplers;
  • fusing;
  • gluing with transparent polymers.

Flowerpots, flower pots and containers for seedlings

Colored plastic containers in the form of bottles and bottles of different sizes are suitable as containers for growing live plants. It’s very easy to make a fragrant balcony from 3-liter tanks - cascade hanging petunias. Fragrant flowers hanging from cut containers will help make your dream of a beautiful piece of paradise come true.

Large bottles and tanks cut in half are hung with the bottom down and the lid. It is recommended to place large pebbles at the bottom for drainage. Excess water after watering will go to the plants in the lower rows. In the same containers, plants are grown without soil - hydroponic method with the addition of fertilizers. Fresh greens and seedlings (in urban and country conditions) are also germinated in prepared plastic bottles.

Advice: Use the compact form and ability to hang containers for vertical gardening with automatic watering. In the absence of the owners, watering cans with water immersed in the ground will cope with moistening the plants.

Traps and feeders

Using plastic bottles you can repel pests or attract birds to your site. For this purpose, the tank is used as a feeder, and at the roots fruit trees place traps from bottles of chemicals. From double plastic containers, craftsmen build traps for wasps, where they fly into sweet water and cannot get back out.

Equipment for a summer cottage

At the dacha a quick fix» It’s easy to make crafts from plastic bottles in the form of an impromptu washbasin by hanging a full bottle upside down. Just unscrew the lid a little and a small stream of water will help you wash your face and hands. It is also worth making a bench and organizing lighting with beautiful owls or plastic gnomes. Any garden decor for inspiration - with interesting illustrations.

Multifunctional items for the home

Make an original cosmetic bag from 2 bottoms of plastic bottles, sewing the edges together with a zipper. This box can be used as multifunctional item– a piggy bank, a case for large beads, hairpins or jewelry.

It is convenient to knit from such a ball, suspended somewhere nearby, by pulling the thread from the ball inserted inside. It’s easier to find nail polish or a lipstick collection in a makeshift zippered box.

New Year's decor

Bright christmas balls, garlands or toys made from plastic bottles are a worthy use for transparent containers. One bottle, cut into round strips, will yield transparent ball. After securing the sphere with a stapler, decorate it in any way:

  • “rain” winding;
  • pasting with crushed polystyrene foam (snow);
  • decoration with sequins, beads and stones.

New Year's decor made from white plastic bottles with a waist is suitable for snowmen or penguins. You can use black nail polish to draw eyes and other elements, cotton wool (snowball), glitter, small buttons, beads and whatever is at hand. Funny caps for characters - from colored socks without a pair, strips of knitwear are used as a scarf.

Advice: From homemade winter characters, a candle, ready-made tinsel and a couple of pine branches with cones, create an original New Year's composition so as not to buy a Christmas tree.

Curtains made of colored plastic caps and bottles

Space zoning is popular design technique, where a do-it-yourself translucent curtain is often used. Original curtain can decorate any living space, cottage or covered terrace. Original hanging partitions made from unusual materials are widely used in the interior.

IN modern decor Plastic is in demand, including bottles and bottle caps. There are options for curtains:

  • from scraps from the bottoms of small containers - strips on a thick fishing line, swaying with the movement of air;
  • from colored lids - a fantasy panel of tightly strung elements;
  • a garland of plastic and lights to give the LED curtain more aesthetics.

Original all-season flower beds

The summer season is passing, and living flower beds are being replaced by homemade plastic flowers that are no less beautiful than real ones. Their advantage is the ability to decorate the territory at any time. These flower beds pale against the background of living plants, but in early spring And late autumn only they attract admiring glances.

For daisies you will need small plastic containers of white (petals), yellow (centers) and green (leaves). You will also need an awl and a candle (for heating), “liquid nails,” scissors and stiff wire in green insulation.

We cut the base of the white bottle to the center, marking 16 segments - these are the petals. We bend the neat edges over the candle flame, and also make 2-3 chamomile corollas, which we connect in the center with an awl. Here the stem with leaves is fixed on a green wire, closing with the middle. We fill the center of the flower with a yellow basket with small cuts from 2 finely dissected circles with a fringe bent over the candle. We supplement the flower with green sepals from the bottom, collect all the parts and fix them together.

From the remaining pieces of green plastic, cut out leaves with a hole at the base (for stringing) and give them the desired shape, heating them over a candle flame. We attach the leaves to the wire handle; they should bend around it slightly. All that remains is for the chamomile to make several “companions” and find a worthy place for the bouquet.

Using samples and imagination, it’s easy to make plastic lilies of the valley, roses, chrysanthemums or tulips. This requires plastic. suitable color, from which several layers of petals are made to achieve a resemblance to real flowers.

All-season flower beds include mosaic compositions made from containers filled with earth. The lids are used to make wall panels. "Butterfly" or " ladybug» – in different versions.

Crafts from plastic bottles for the playground

An incredibly beautiful bird with plastic plumage – a whole “clearing of fairy tales”. These are the peacock or firebird, swans, pigeons, bullfinches and parrots. All of them are made from empty PET bottles according to the general principle:

  1. Design an aesthetic bird’s head with eyes and beak;
  2. Construct the torso and neck;
  3. String plastic plumage;
  4. Provide with wings and tail;
  5. Place on paws or secure to selected surface.

Plastic swans can be fenced off by a blue “lake” of upside down plastic bottles. Outlandish birds will decorate the trees in the corner of the garden, which is reserved for children's games. You can choose a themed decor, for example, a desert island with palm trees and parrots.

Plastic animals, birds and insects, familiar to our latitudes, as well as favorite fairy-tale characters, are supplemented with other materials. Tires, wood and empty containers that can be easily painted will be used.

How to make decorations from plastic bottles for the cottage and garden

Original garden decor made from scrap material is another way to add personality to a site while young plants come into their own. From green plastic bottles it is easy to make funny little frogs on the edge of the pond, watching dragonflies and butterflies from the same material.

Palm trees are a popular garden decoration, consisting of trunks (up to 15 brown bottles) and palm leaves (green plastic 5-10 pieces). This is a simple process that even children willingly participate in.

Prepared brown cups with notches are strung on a thick steel rod (bamboo fishing rod), having previously pierced the base. It is better to use brown containers (1.5-2 l) entirely, cutting them in half, then you only have to punch through the bottom.

We leave the green bottles without a bottom and neck, with the exception of the last one with a neck, which will be needed as a loop. We cut these containers lengthwise into 3 parts up to the loop and dissect them like leaves. If longer leaves are required, staple the second half of the leaf. All parts of the stem are strung on the base and attached to the top, connecting with a common loop. All that remains is to reliably install “exotic guests” with a lush crown on the site.

The material is collected throughout the year, but it’s easier to involve neighbors and acquaintances in the “ecological” cleaning project. There are special containers for plastic in the yards - it’s much easier to collect.

Preparation for work - removing labels and glue residues from plastic bottles; it is important to rinse well and discard the deformed material.
