Forgive me all my sins and drive away demonic thoughts from my soul. Let it be so. Amen.

Now you know what exists prayer of repentance for remission of sins.

And I want to wish you bright and joyful days!

The Prayer of Repentance does not have to be tied to one religion or another. In general, whether prayer works or not, that is, a person will receive a positive result or his prayer will remain unanswered, depends on how correctly the person performs the prayer. And in this article we are considering, first of all, the prayer of repentance.

And what is true Repentance - read.

It is very important to know how to pray, but it is equally important to be aware of to whom the prayer is addressed, that is, what forces (Patrons) will fulfill this prayer. These could be , Gray and . Dark and Gray, in fact, cannot wish a person good in pure form, therefore, they will perform the prayer in their own way, and for this they will take a fee from a person much more than they will give him (help).

Only the Light Forces (direct representatives of the Creator) provide true help to the human soul and there is no need to worry about the consequences of their help. Therefore, of course, you need to turn to Them. But the Light Forces are demanding of a person, in terms of the purity of his motives, his dedication, etc. And these rules must be known and followed in order to deserve the help of His bright Helpers.

This means that it doesn’t matter who you are in your religion: Orthodox, Catholic or Muslim. If your motives are not pure (selfish, etc.) or your repentance is not sincere and you have not realized your sin, the Light Forces will not help you, but the Dark and Gray Forces will. But, as I said above, it’s better not to mess with them.

Therefore, before you pray, learn the basic rules.

So, what should the Prayer of Repentance be?

Prayer must, first of all, be sincere, from the heart, with awareness of one’s sin and determination to correct one’s mistakes, and also never to repeat them again. This is the main thing!

One more thing, it is not at all necessary to pray exactly according to texts written by other people, according to prayer books, for example. After all, all the prayers were written by people, with their personal problems and limitations in understanding, this must be remembered. Christ gave only one strong prayer“Thy will be done, but not mine”. And all the other prayers are by and large subjective interpretations and deciphering of spiritual principles, personal vision of many thousands of people. But if you still want to pray according to a prayer created by someone, enter the text of the prayer that is understandable to you in meaning and closest to your heart.

The Prayer of Repentance must come from the heart and specifically from your heart; these must be words, feelings, images of your Soul. And not the memorized repetition of other people's phrases.

1. Body position. The Prayer of Repentance is best performed either sitting on your knees (kneeling is not necessary) or standing at full height with your head slightly lowered (bowed). In this case, the back should be straight, not slouched, because a person should not seem miserable.

2. Hand position. First optionright hand in position on the heart. Second– hands in a namast position on the chest.

3. What you should strive to feel during prayer. Repentance for sins, mistakes, etc., Gratitude for the experience gained and for the opportunity to free your soul from sins, to cleanse yourself, Joy from liberation and growth of the soul.

4. What to say. Ideally, prayer should flow from the heart (from the center of the chest up through the crown along the corresponding energy information channel). The appeal could be like this: – “Heavenly Father, Powers of Light, please, please accept my prayer and my repentance...”, at the end of the prayer there should be gratitude for the opportunity for repentance and cleansing.

5. Strengthening prayer. In a prayer that comes from the heart, there are never too many words, and it’s good if you say your understanding And motives. Understanding– what you understood, where and why you were wrong and what you will do in the future. Motives– why do you ask for forgiveness, why do you need cleansing and liberation. All your intentions should be as pure as possible.

6. Accepting the blessing. Correct prayer is always followed by a blessing Higher Powers, when a stream of cleansing Light descends on a person from above, a stream of energy that strengthens repentance and heals the Soul, and sometimes the body. Therefore, when the words of the prayer are over, you need to open your consciousness to the flows of energy from above and be silent about accepting it without thinking about anything for about 2-3 minutes.

May your prayers always be heard by God, and may the Forces of Light come to your aid!

Holy Spirit this is a third person Divine Trinity. He is the One whom the Father sent to be with His children. The Holy Spirit speaks to us when we do wrong. He brings us back to the right path. We often cause Him grief. When we find ourselves at a loss, trying to figure out what is right and what is wrong, He helps us clear away the fog of doubt if we listen carefully to Him. The Holy Spirit will also teach you to discern true teachings from false ones. He will help you find a church where Jesus Christ is the head of the Christians.

PRAYER FOR THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

"Now I'm born again! I'm a Christian, child Almighty God! I'm saved! Lord, You said in Your word:

Question No. 455

Please give examples of short prayers of repentance

Victor 13/11/2002

Dear Fr. Oleg,
Please give more examples (more, if possible) of short prayers of repentance.
Thank you.

Answer from Father Oleg Molenko:

Repentant prayers are those prayers that arouse, preserve, develop and grow repentant feelings in the person praying.

Prayers of repentance can be divided into three main categories or categories:

  1. prayers that directly express repentance for sins and a feeling of repentance;
  2. prayers that express repentant feelings not directly, but in contrast;
  3. prayers asking for repentance, crying or individual parts of repentance.

You brought everything by Your Word and Spirit, for goodness, Lord, you also created me as a verbal animal, so that I glorify Your holy, omnipotent name. I always dishonor my deeds most of all: but have mercy, I pray.

Know yours, cursed soul, divine nobility, and the incorruptible fatherland, and always strive to achieve this through good deeds: let nothing from the corruptible captivate you, you are the heavenly parts, but the body is earth and decays, so that the worse does not defeat the better.

Come, my all-condemned soul, to the most good thing, approach with warm tears, confess everything you have done before your judgment, and do the mercifulness of the Creator, accursed one, for yourself, and ask for forgiveness, before even the Lord will shut the door for you.

Mary, immaculate, and surpassing every mind, the purest chariot, possessed by many sins and oppressed, direct me to the breadth of repentance with your all-powerful intercession: for you are able, as the Mother of all who are powerful.

Like the abyss of my many sins, O Savior, and I am deeply immersed in my sins, give me your hand like Peter’s, save me, O God, and have mercy on me.

For in evil thoughts and in deeds I have been condemned, Savior, grant me the thought of conversion, O God, so I call to You: save me, O good benefactor, and have mercy on me.

I let the eyes of my heart go to You, Savior: save me by Your radiance.

Have mercy on us who sin against You many times, at every hour, O my Christ, and give us the image of repentance to You before the end.

Those who have sinned, O Christ the Savior, like the prodigal son: accept me, O Father, repentant, and have mercy on me, O God.

I cry to You, O Christ the Savior, in the publican’s voice: cleanse me as she did, and have mercy on me, O God.

Great in my sin, and grieving to You, the good Lord, and merciful in nature, turning, as if I were a prodigal, accept me, and make me one of Your hired servants, O heavenly Father.

Through the laziness of life I have gone beyond the limit, and the damned one is already approaching the end, I do not think of the judgment awaiting me, and of falling away from God: but having converted me, O Savior, snatch them all up.

Ruler of all creatures, Most Pure One, fiercely possessed by the passions of my mind, free me with your warm intercession and Motherly prayer, and enslave me to Your Son and God.

Save me, Lord my God, for You are the salvation of all: the storm of passions confuses me, and the burden of my iniquities drowns me. Give me a helping hand, and lead me to the light of tenderness, for there is only one who is merciful and a lover of humanity.

Let me ask for forgiveness of those who have sinned towards You, O lover of mankind, not by nature like a man: but more than a man, and above nature, and more than forgiveness. But having been above natural principles, and above the comprehension of thought, man, my Savior, and above the mind of mankind, have mercy on me who turns to You.

Thou hast ordained repentance for the sinners, O Christ, and not for the righteous: for the image of the imam is the thief and the prodigal, Manasseh and the harlot, the persecutor, the publican and the scoundrel, I despair inconveniently. Yours is humane and knowledgeable, my Savior, I turn and cry, and I am trustworthy, because you receive me.

Grant me tenderness, and alienation of the evil, and complete correction, now immersed in bodily passions, and removed from You, God of all, King, and having no hope, save me the prodigal, many for the sake of goodness, Omnipotent Jesus, Savior of our souls.

Having surpassed the ranks of angels, the All-Immaculate One, with the angels always pray to the sovereign angels and to all creation to grant us forgiveness of sins, and deliverance from passions, and then worthy of making us singers of His glory, and heirs of incorruptible food.

I wanted to wash with my tears the handwriting of my sins, O Lord, and the rest of my life with repentance to please you, but the enemy flatters me and wrestles with my soul: Lord, before I even completely perish, save me.

Whoever is overwhelmed and flows to Your refuge, O Lord, will not be saved; or whoever is ill and falls to Your medicine will not be healed, Creator of all things and Physician of the sick; Lord, before I even die completely, save me.

I cry and lament to the mountaineer, looking at the terrible words of retribution, from deeds there is no answer and little resistance to guilt, cursed. In the same way I pray: before the end of my place does not even befall me, before the repression of death, before the terrible judgment, before I want to accept condemnation, where there is unquenchable fire, and total darkness, where the worm eats and eats those who have sinned, grant deliverance for my sins, O Christ mine, and great mercy.

Having despised Thy laws and Scriptures, I have rejected Thy commandments, O accursed one, my God, to my Creator, how can I escape the rest of the torment there, O Savior; Likewise, before my end, O Savior, grant me forgiveness, a cloud of tears, giving me true tenderness, as the all-good God is far from me, driving away the demonic armies that seek to bring me down to the abyss of hell. Moreover, I pray to You, do not take Your almighty hand away from me.

Alas for me! how darkened the mind; how I have withdrawn from You, and have been accursed by sin, and by the pleasures of the flesh, and have given up everything passionately that lived in me with passion; and now I await my hedgehog’s outcome from life, and the longing to be. Most kind Lord, grant me tearful repentance and the resolution of my countless sins. Truly I pray to you, who gives the world’s commanding mercy.

Lord, I never stop sinning; I do not understand the love of mankind. Overcome my bewilderment, you alone are Good, and have mercy on me.

Lord, I am afraid of Your fear, and I do not stop doing evil: whoever is not afraid of the judge at the trial; or whoever wants to be healed, angers the doctor just like I did; Long-suffering Lord, have mercy on my weakness and have mercy on me.

Give me tears, O Savior, of repentance with a contrite thought: for I may wash away the defilement of my soul, even though I have been stained with evil, an unrighteous deed for every hour, having for this begging, Who gave birth to You, and the angelic faces, and Your love for mankind.

Come, O soul! and repent of the many sins you have committed in life, and pray to the multitude of the highest armies, with sighs and tears; for the time will be given to you for repentance, but not like the barren fig tree that has been burned into the all-passionate fire of Gehenna.

Not once upon earth have I made Thy commandment, until I appear unto Thee who sitteth on the throne, and give a word, and bring judgment upon all that I have done, both in knowledge and in ignorance, O my Christ; I also call to You: through the prayers of Your servants, save me the prodigal.

I have not acquired repentance, below a pack of tears: for this sake I pray to Thee, Christ God, before the end, convert me and give me tenderness, so that I may be freed from torment.

See your most lawless deeds, O my soul! and feel how the earth carries you; How can I not take off my gray hair? how wondrous beasts do not devour you; How is it that the sun never stops shining for you; Arise, repent, and cry to the Lord: You who have sinned, You who have sinned, have mercy on me.

Just as I fell into the hands of robbers and was wounded: so I also fell from many sins, and my soul was wounded by me. To whom shall I resort to guilt; only to You, the blessed Physician of souls: pour out Your great mercy on me, O God.

Lord, who came into the world to call sinners, and thieves, and the publican, and the harlot, and the fornicator: more than all, the one who has sinned against me, you, my Christ, and no one who repents, call him more lovingly.

Weep, accursed soul, before the end, and cleave to God, calling to Him from the heart and groaning, O all-foul one, those who have sinned You, Christ, do not disdain me, I pray: but turning me as if you are merciful, grant me forgiveness.

I always insult the Creator and anger the creature: grant me correction, O Youth, having first changed it, and with Your help lead me to do pleasing deeds, so that I may gain salvation and forgiveness.

Immortal being, my soul, do not be covered by the waves of life, but arise crying to your benefactor: God, cleanse me and save me.

You can take verses from penitential canon Lord Jesus Christ.
The prayers after each kathisma in the Psalter are good.
It is good to take verses from the psalter (divine reflections) of St. Ephraim the Syrian.
Many prayers of repentance can be found in the Lenten Triodion and in the Great Canon of Andrew of Crete.

Prayers in contrast are famous prayers such as: " Our Father", "Heavenly King", "Rejoice to the Virgin Mary", etc., as well as passages from the psalter of David. They have a repentant effect when we, reading them with attention, work with comparison in contrast.

For example, in prayer " Heavenly King"we can see the following: about the Holy Spirit - " like EVERYWHERE and do EVERYTHING"(except me damned!); about myself - " come and dwell in us“(for despite the fact that I was created to be His abode, He is not in me! That’s why we need to ask Him to come and move in, and even cleanse us from all filth).

It's the same with prayer" Our Father". It is enough to read the first line and compare yourself and your Father. After all, I have and call God my Father! Why am I tormented, suffering, perplexed, rushing about, fussing, grieving for earthly things, overcome by passions, etc., having such a Father .

IN " Rejoice to the Virgin Mary"One thing that can be emphasized is that She is happy, but I have no time for joy. Just like that" The Lord is with you", but, alas, not with me, and cry about it.

It is more difficult to pray repentantly with such prayers, because you need the help (spiritual inclusion or opening of prayer) of the Holy Spirit.

Our life turns into a gloomy dungeon, from which we are desperately looking for a way out, but we do not understand why we got here. We are doing some things, fussing, rushing, but where? We have forgotten about the most important thing, that God loves us as we are. And not for anything good that we did to him, but just like that. When you know that you are loved, life becomes easier.

What is a prayer of repentance?

A prayer of repentance is the words spoken by a person to God, with an awareness of the need for his participation in human life. In this prayer, we admit our sinfulness, and ask for forgiveness for our actions and, also, we ask the Lord to help us correct ourselves.

Prayers of repentance and forgiveness do not mean automatic salvation and deliverance from the severity of sins. They only show your repentance, which all human life should be full of.

Aspects of penitential prayer

The first thing that a prayer of repentance to the Lord should contain is humble repentance for what has been done. The Bible says that we are all sinners and we must admit it. Because of our sins, we deserve eternal punishment, but we ask God to have mercy on us and forgive us our sins.

The second is the awareness of what God has done for us. God loves humanity and that is why he sacrificed his son for our salvation. He sent Jesus to Earth, who revealed the truth to us and lived a sinless life, dying on the cross for us. He took upon himself our punishment, and as proof of victory over sin, he rose from the dead.

Thanks to him, we seek God's forgiveness through the prayer of repentance for the remission of sins. All that is required of a Christian is to believe that Jesus died in our place and rose from the dead.

The best prayer of repentance is the one that a person says sincerely, which comes from the very heart, heated by true faith and awareness of his sinfulness. Repentance can be expressed in your own words, there is no need for special “magic” words, just ask God for forgiveness and he will hear you.

But it is still recommended to learn at least one prayer of repentance. Church prayers good because they were written under the instructions of the saints. They are special sound vibration, because they consist not just of words, letters, sounds, but of what was spoken by a holy person.

“I confess to You, Lord my God and Creator, Holy Trinity To the One, glorified and worshiped Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit, all my sins, which I have committed all the days of my life, and for every hour, and at the present time, and in past days and nights, in deed, in word, in thought, in food , drunkenness, secret eating, idle talk, despondency, laziness, bickering, disobedience, slander, condemnation, negligence, pride, avarice, theft, unspeaking, foul, bribery, jealousy, envy, anger, memory malice, hatred, covetousness and all my feelings: sight , hearing, smell, taste, touch and my other sins, both mental and physical, in the image of my God and Creator I have angered You, and my neighbor who is untruthful: regretting these, I present my guilt to You my God, and I have the will to repent: then, O Lord my God, help me, with tears I humbly pray to Thee: I have come to forgive me my sins with Thy mercy, and forgive me from all these things that I have said before Thee, for I am Good and Lover of mankind.”

Sacrament of Repentance

In Christianity there is not only the practice of daily repentance, but also a special sacrament called Confession. In the sacrament of Confession, the believer repents of his sins before the Lord, pronouncing them before the priest. And the priest, endowed with power by God, forgives him these sins and instructs him in a righteous lifestyle.
