Modern manufacturers of machines, devices and other electrical products are required to adhere to a sufficiently large number of all kinds of regulatory documentation. Therefore, the offered goods will meet both the requirements of the buyer and the requirements of the quality control authorities. One of these conditions is the climatic performance.

Terminology

Familiarization with each question must begin with a study of the definitions used. Therefore, to begin with, we will try to give the most understandable formulation. So, climatic performance is a system of categories that includes the conditions for normal operation, transportation and storage of technical products in relation to the macroclimatic zoning of the surface of the globe. In other words, this term defines the conditions under which one or another electrical installation can be operated. In turn, binding to regions allows taking into account various climatic conditions.

Normative documents

Such a system is certified by the current legislation and is included in GOST 15150 "Climatic version". This standard applies to all types and varieties of instruments, machines and other technical products. All requirements of the above document are mandatory. Exceptions are only conditions marked "recommended" or "permissible". Like any other, GOST "Climatic performance" lists the areas of application of the regulatory documentation in question. Let's consider some of them.

1. This standard applies to both the design and manufacture of technical products. In addition, its observance is mandatory when drawing up assignments for the development and subsequent modernization, the creation of standards.

2. The climatic version of each product, as well as other technical parameters, must be kept within the established values.

3. Products manufactured by manufacturers are intended for storage, operation and transportation within the ranges of values of the factors under consideration. In exceptional cases, they may contain a list of permissible deviations during operation.

4. In accordance with technical and economic feasibility, it is recommended to produce technical products suitable for operation in several macro-regions.

Currently, there are several categories that are based on the division of territories with similar environmental conditions. As a rule, the designation of a particular group is carried out using the appropriate letter marking. Let's take a closer look at each category.

U marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letter "N". A similar climatic design is used for areas characterized by moderate environmental conditions. In addition, it should be remembered that technical products marked in this way may be subject to operation in a warm humid, hot dry, as well as very hot dry macroclimatic region, in which the average value for the annual absolute maximum air temperatures is above 40 degrees Celsius, and the humidity value is 80 percent or more. In this case, such characteristics should be observed for more than 12 hours every day for a two-month continuous period. In turn, a temperate climate has the following characteristics of atmospheric air: the annual absolute maximum temperature does not exceed forty degrees Celsius. From the foregoing, we can conclude that the climatic version U has the following temperature range: from -45 0 С to +40 0 С.

HL marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letter "F". This group is characterized by cold climates. The annual absolute temperature minimum is -45 degrees Celsius. Electrical equipment with this type of marking is designed for operation within the following limits: -60 0 С - +40 0 С.

UHL marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letters "NF". GOST "Climatic performance" refers to this category areas with moderate and cold environmental conditions. The temperature range of normal operation of products with such markings has the same limits as those of the previous group. In addition, products released with this category can be used in the same cases as products of group Y. For example, in hot and very hot dry climates, subject to the above conditions.

TV marking

In the Latin version, the letter designation is "TN". Such a climatic design is characterized by the operation of technical products in humid tropical environmental conditions. Atmospheric air has the following parameters: temperature over 20 degrees Celsius, humidity over 80 percent. A special condition is the preservation of the above requirements for more than 12 hours every day for two months continuously. The operating temperature limits for normal operation are +1 - +40 0 С.

Vehicle marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letters "TA". Despite the similarity in name with the previous category, this group has many differences. The average value of the annual absolute maximum temperatures is +40 degrees Celsius. The range of such values when used ranges from -10 to +50 0 С.

T marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letter "T". Technical products marked with this marking are capable of normal operation in tropical climates.

Marking O

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letter "U" and is a general climatic version. Products characterized in this way can be used in all macro-climatic regions of the earth, except for very cold environmental conditions. Temperature limits range from -60 0 С to +50 0 С.

Marking M

In the Latin version, it is also denoted by the letter "M". This category includes electrical products that are designed for normal operation in macroclimatic regions in a moderately cold marine-type environment.

TM marking

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letters "MT" and includes territories characterized by tropical marine atmospheric air conditions. This category includes technical products intended for operation on coastal navigation vessels or any other vessels used only in the redistribution of these areas.

OM marking

In the Latin version, the letter designation is "MU". The presented group includes machines, devices and other products, the normal operation of which will be carried out in areas with both tropical and temperate cold climates. Thus, various vessels with unlimited navigation areas can be attributed to the category under consideration.

Marking B

In the Latin version, it is denoted by the letter "W". This group is quite specific, since it includes electrical products intended for widespread use, both on land and on water. Such a performance is called all-climatic. A feature is the impossibility of application only in areas characterized by very cold environmental conditions. Temperature limits for normal operation range from -60 to +50 degrees Celsius.

Locations

At present, electrical products are marked in a special way (climatic version and placement category are indicated). In this regard, the marking is a combination of an alphabetic and numerical designation. This allows customers to see at a glance whether the device is right for them or not.

Category 1

Technical products marked in this way are intended for outdoor use. Therefore, they are exposed to the totality of atmospheric factors. For example, climatic version U1.

Category 2

It assumes normal operation of equipment under a canopy or in rooms subject to fluctuations in the values of atmospheric air parameters almost to the same extent as open space. For example, it can be a body.

Category 3

This group includes technical products that must be used only in enclosed spaces. At the same time, the latter should have the following features: the absence of artificial regulators of environmental conditions; exposure to dust and sand is significantly less than outdoors. Climatic version U3 can be used in rooms with thermal insulation made of metal, wood, concrete and other materials. Such objects can be classified as irregularly heated. Thus, the climatic version of U3 implies the absence of precipitation, direct sunlight, a significant reduction in the impact of wind and moisture.

Category 4

Equipment belonging to this group can be used in rooms characterized by artificial regulation of environmental parameters, well-ventilated underground buildings. It implies the absence of direct solar radiation, wind, moisture, sand.

Category 5

Such technical products can be used in rooms with high humidity values. For example, in underground rooms, in the soil, as well as on ships.

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1. This International Standard shall be applied to the design and manufacture of products. In particular, it should be used in the preparation of technical specifications for the development or modernization of products, as well as in the development of state standards and specifications that establish requirements regarding the impact of climatic environmental factors for a group of products, and in the absence of these group documents, for certain types of products .

1.2. Products must maintain their parameters within the limits established by the technical specifications, standards or specifications during the service life and shelf life specified in the technical specifications, standards or specifications, after and (or) in the process of exposure to climatic factors, the values of which are established by this standard.

Products are intended for operation, storage and transportation in the range from the upper to the lower values of these climatic factors, while in addition to the ranges of climatic factors within which the operability of the products is ensured during operation, one or more narrower ranges of climatic factors can be set, within which provide a narrower range of parameter deviations (for example, higher accuracy of regulation or measurements). Within these ranges, several values of the same factor may also be established when establishing requirements for various stages of operation or individual technical characteristics, for example, several values of the upper and / or effective temperature for different resources or service lives.

Where necessary, the standards or specifications should indicate the permissible deviations of the parameters from their initial values during operation.

1.3. For specific types or groups of products, the types of influencing climatic factors and their nominal values are set depending on the operating conditions of the products in the relevant technical specifications, standards and specifications.

If there are documents establishing for groups of products the relationship between the values of the factors specified in this standard and the conditions for the use of products, the instructions of these documents should be followed.

1.3 a. It is allowed to operate products in macroclimatic regions and (or) locations that differ from those for which the products are intended, if climatic factors during the operation period do not go beyond the nominal values established for these products. For example, products of the UHL4 climatic modification type can be operated in the UHL2 conditions during the summer dry period.

It is allowed to operate the products in conditions where the values of climatic factors go beyond the established nominal values, if deviations in the service life and (or) other parameters of the products are acceptable. At the same time, the admissibility of operation and its terms, the values of climatic factors, the permissible deviations of the service life and (or) other parameters of the products, as well as (if necessary) additional requirements for the maintenance of products are established in the regulatory and technical documentation or agreed with the supplier of the products.

1.4. In accordance with economic and technical feasibility, it is recommended to manufacture products suitable for operation in several areas and (or) locations established by this standard.

1.5. Products can also be designed for operation in several macroclimatic regions and (or) locations, or for storage in several conditions alternately for different periods; in these cases, combinations of various operating or storage conditions with periods of stay under these conditions are established in the standards or specifications for products.

1.2-1.4. (Revised edition, Rev. No. 2).

1.6. Requirements for the impact of climatic factors of the environment in standards, specifications and other regulatory and technical documentation for products are established in accordance with Appendix 8.

In the conditional designation of the type (brand) of the product, in addition, after all the designations related to the modification of the product, letters and numbers are entered that indicate the type of climatic modification of the product. For example, an electric motor of type AO2-21-4 in version T for placement category 2 is designated AO2-21-4T2.

The designation of the type of climatic modification is indicated in all types of documentation, including operational documentation, as well as on the nameplate (label), in which the type (brand) of the product must be indicated.

It is allowed not to enter the type of climatic version in the symbol of the type (brand) of the product in the cases specified in subparagraphs a, b, c. In this case, the type of climatic version must be specified in the standards or technical conditions, operational documentation. The designation may not include:

b) the type of climatic modification of one of the variants of products, which, as a rule, is common for the entire industry or a group of products of the industry, if the products are manufactured in several types of climatic modification;

For products that do not have a serial number, plates and individual differences (for example, electronic equipment, electrical installation products), it is allowed to apply symbols or a symbol on a non-removable part.

The designation of the types of climatic performance of products manufactured in accordance with clause 1.4 must include either a combination of performance and category providing the most severe operating conditions, or (if this combination cannot be established) several performances and categories for which the products are intended (combined designation). For example, an electric motor of type AO2-21-4, designed for categories 2, 3, 4, UHL version (category 2 is the most severe for this product), designate AO2-21-4UHL2; the same electric motor, designed to operate additionally in category 5 conditions, is designated AO2-21-4UKHL2.5 in category 4 conditions of version O-AO2-21-4UKHL2O4 (in the last two examples, category 2 is the most severe for this product in terms of the lower temperature value, category 5 or conditions O4 - by air humidity).

For products that meet the requirements of clause 5.2, for those cases where the range of nominal values for any factor is narrower than the range of normal operating values, as well as for products whose operating conditions are established according to clause 1.5, to the designation of the type of climatic modification (or categories) add a * sign.

For products that meet the requirements of clause 5.2, for those cases where the range of nominal values for any climatic factor is wider than the range of normal operating values, and narrower ranges of values of other climatic factors are not provided, a sign * is added to the designation of the type of climatic modification *. This symbol is not added to the designation of groups of products specially designed in accordance with clause 5.2 for use as built-in elements for complete products, where the temperature inside the structure is higher than outside.

If the product consists of several components that do not have a common shell and operate under conditions of different categories, the category designation of the product as a whole is taken according to the components that perform the main function; in the standard or technical specifications for the product, categories of other components may also be indicated.

In the designation of products that meet the requirements of clause 5.10, and products intended for operation only in a non-air environment, the sign * is used instead of designating the type of climatic modification. For example, AO2-21-4*.

In the designation of products intended for operation in water, the * sign is used instead of the category designation. For example, AO2-21-4OM *.

It is allowed to separate the designation of climatic design with a line from the main designation of products, if the absence of a line leads to a distortion of the main designation.

It is allowed not to enter the designations of types of climatic modification in the symbol of types of products in technical documentation (except for technical specifications and operational documentation) developed before January 1, 1972.

For materials and semi-finished products, the designation of the type of climatic modification or only the climatic modification is established in cases not specified in subparagraph a, while the designation of the category as part of the designation of the type of climatic modification can be installed in cases where the material is used for the direct manufacture of parts of products.

2.7, 2.8. (Changed edition, Rev. No. 2, 4). conditions are set in standards or specifications for products.

(Introduced additionally, Amendment No. 2).

3. NORMAL VALUES OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLIMATIC FACTORS DURING OPERATION AND TESTS

3.1. The normal values of climatic factors of the external environment during the operation of products are taken equal to the values \u200b\u200bspecified in paragraphs. 3.2-3.14, 3.16. These values apply to the operation of products at altitudes up to 1000 m, unless otherwise indicated in the paragraphs of this section.

3.2. The values of the ambient air temperature are given in Table. 3.

* For products that, according to operating conditions, may have interruptions in operation at occasionally occurring temperatures below minus 40 ° C, the lower operating temperature value is allowed, in technically justified cases, to be taken equal to minus 40 ° C.

For performance specifications, the lower operating temperature value is assumed to be minus 25°С, the lower limit operating temperature value is minus 30°С.

** For some areas with a subtropical climate, the value is assumed to be minus 10°С.

*** For some areas in China, Turkey, Afghanistan, the value is taken equal to minus 20°С.

**** For ships not used in areas of the Arctic Ocean in winter, the lower operating temperature is assumed to be minus 30°C.

***** For operation in a non-operating state (for operational storage and transportation), the value is taken the same as for category 3, and for the type of climatic modification B4, as for the type of modification OM3.

****** For execution T.

******* For TS version.

******** For some points in the Central Sahara, the temperature is assumed to be 55°C. It is allowed to set a temperature of 45°C for products developed before 07/01/89 and not supplied to the regions of Iraq, the countries of the Arabian Peninsula, Southern Iran and Central Sahara.
