Corrugated roofing sheets, the sheet sizes of which are the same for all manufacturers, comply with generally accepted GOST or approved technical specifications(THAT). These standards allow the use of this building material for any type of building: industrial buildings, temporary objects, large-sized buildings.

The distinctive dimensional characteristics of the roofing material are the thickness of the metal and the height of the stiffener. Taking these indicators into account, there are several popular brands for roofing:

  1. PC 20 with ribs height 20 mm, total width 1140 mm.
  2. PC 35, where the height is 35 mm and the total width is 1125 mm.
  3. NS 44 and PK 45 with wave heights of 44 and 45 mm, respectively, and a total width of 1045 mm.
  4. H57 – height 57 mm and width 1050 mm.
  5. H75 – 75 mm and 800 mm, respectively.

If you use shorter sheets, the material will have to be laid with an overlap, which will reduce the level of waterproofing of the roof. Sheet thickness and profile height

Corrugated sheeting with a thickness of 0.55-1.0 mm is suitable for roofing work. Thinner metal will warp when exposed to snow, wind or hail. It can also be accidentally damaged during installation.

Calculation of the size and number of corrugated sheets for roofing

Let us remind you that the useful length of a corrugated sheet is optimal option equal to its full length. If two sheets or more are laid along the length, the calculation is made slightly differently:

  1. Calculate the roof area. The slope has the shape of a rectangle, so its area will be equal to the product of the sides: S = 12 ∙ 6 = 72 m 2 (the transverse size of the slope together with eaves overhang taken equal to 6 m).
  2. We multiply the roof area by a correction factor of 1.1. We get S = 72 ∙ 1.1 = 79.2 m 2.
  3. Divide the resulting value by usable area leaf. Let's assume that sheets with a length of 3.5 m are used. Then the useful length will be equal to 3.25 m (we set aside 25 cm for the longitudinal overlap). We calculate the useful area as the product of this value and the useful width (1 m): S floor = 3.25 ∙ 1 = 3.25 m 2.
  4. We calculate the number of sheets, why total area divide the roof by the usable sheet area: N = S / S floor = 79.2 / 3.25 = 24.37. This means we will need 25 sheets of corrugated sheets measuring 3.25 x 1.25 m.

Designation of corrugated sheets (for example, C25-0.60-700-11,000) contains all the information on its main characteristics.

The letter indicates the scope of application:

    N- load-bearing roofing sheet.

    WITH- wall for walls and fences.

    NS- load-bearing wall material for universal use.

The number is the profile height in millimeters.

The next one is the thickness of the metal, which was used for stamping the sheet, in mm. GOST 24045-2010 This product is made from thin galvanized steel GOST 14918.

Active normative document on steel profiles- this is GOST 24045. Over time, changes are made to the standards and the following common versions exist of this document:

GOST 24045-86, status: replaced;

GOST 24045-94, status: replaced;

GOST 24045-2010, status: valid.

According to the material of the initial workpiece, steel profiles according to GOST 24045-2010 have one category: thin-sheet galvanized steel according to GOST 14918.

By previous version GOST galvanized sheet contained the following number of subcategories:

    galvanized rolled sheets GOST 14918;

    rolled sheets with aluminum-zinc coating (designated AC) according to TU 14-11-247-88;

    sheets of aluminized rolled stock and rolled sheets with aluminum-silicon coating (designated A and AK) according to TU 14-11-236-88;

    rolled sheets with electrolytic zinc coating (designation EOTSP) according to TU 14-1-4695-89.

Then the height of the corrugation of each subsequent type will increase by 3.25±0.25 mm. Sheet grade “C” is the lightest and thinnest - 0.5 - 0.7 mm.

How much does it weigh

The type of sheet greatly influences its weight. As the “wave” of the profile and sheet thickness increases, the mass increases. Weight is the main advantage of this product. On average it 1 m2 weighs 7 - 11kg. If this area is covered with tiles, then it will be needed 43 kg. Weight 1 m2 stamp sheet "WITH" equals 5.5 - 7.5 kg.

Self-tapping screws

Rivets

Corrugated sheet size

Typically, corrugated roofing is used - the dimensions of the sheet do not exceed 4 meters. At large values length, the sheet becomes inconvenient to work with.

Length and width of metal profile
