In order for plumbing equipment to work properly, it is important to place it correctly vertically and horizontally. To facilitate the calculation-free design of plumbing installations, regulatory documentation has been developed in which most of the answers to these serious questions can be found.

In addition to correct operation plumbing equipment, the standards for its placement are aimed at ease of use - ergonomics, especially in cases where disabled or elderly people live in the house. For these categories regulations give detailed recommendations or requirements, including size auxiliary premises and the location of the doors.

Normative documents

Basic documents that are worth studying for the layout and equipment of the bathroom and toilet:

  1. SNiP 2.08.01-89.
  2. SNiP 3.05.01-85.
  3. CH 478-80 (for wiring with plastic pipes).
  4. SP 40-103-98 and VSN 69-97 (for wiring with metal-polymer pipes).
  5. SP 40-102-2000 (for wiring with polymer materials).
  6. SP 40-108-2004 (for wiring with copper pipes).

Recommended distances when determining the installation location of plumbing fixtures are specified in SNiP 3.05.01-85. European and American standards (DIN and NKBA) almost coincide with Russian standards, and in the USA the heights are slightly higher, and in Asian countries, on the contrary, slightly lower.

Requirements of regulatory documentation when placing plumbing fixtures in the toilet and bathroom

The main document for placing plumbing fixtures is SNiP 3.05.01-85. He declares:

  • sequence of work;
  • hole sizes when laying pipes through walls and ceilings;
  • connection types steel pipes;
  • recommendations for pipe fastenings;
  • requirements for the installation height of plumbing equipment;
  • testing requirements.

Placing bathrooms and toilets above residential premises is not permitted. Above the kitchen, if necessary two-story houses and apartments - allowed.

The size of the toilet should not be less than 0.8x1.2 (WxD) m. For families with a disabled person, the dimensions of the premises cannot be less than:

  • toilet with washbasin - 1.6x2.2 m;
  • bathroom or combined bathroom - 2.2x2.2 m.

Data on the installation height of water supply fittings in private houses (from the horizontal axis of the fittings to the plumbing fixtures) are summarized in Table 1.

Table 1

Installation Reference point Height
Water taps and mixers from the sides of the sink 250 mm
from the side of the sink 200 mm
from the clean floor 800 mm (for bath taps and bath mixers)
Toilet taps and mixers from the side of the washbasin 200 mm
from the clean floor 800 mm
Common bath and washbasin mixer from the clean floor to the top of the side 850 mm
Faucets for viduars with oblique outlet 800 mm (vessel emptying equipment)
Faucets for vidouar with direct outlet 1000 mm (vessel emptying equipment)
Shower faucets 1200 mm
Shower mesh from bottom edge from the clean floor or the bottom of the pallet 2100-2200 mm (general use)
1700-1850 mm (for disabled people)

* When installing taps and mixers directly on a sink (sink), the installation height is determined by the design of the devices.

Baths to the top of the side 600 mm
Wall and tray urinals to the top of the side 650 mm (average value, selected taking into account the height of family members)
Shower trays to the top of the side 400 mm
Washing machine 600-700 mm
Hanging drinking fountains to the top of the side 900 mm
Flush cistern of a tall "English" toilet to the bottom of the tank 1 800 mm
Add-on toilet 180-190 mm (from model)
Wall-hung toilet 220-240 mm
Holder toilet paper 600-700 mm, in relation to the toilet - 200-300 mm ahead

The data given in this table is of a advisory nature. Most installation dimensions can be found in the factory installation card for each model, which serious manufacturers accompany their products with. When planning to purchase equipment, you need to study the available offers and their connection options. Thus, some toilet manufacturers provide several options for installing their equipment.

Permissible deviations in the height of free-standing devices are ±20 mm, groups of the same type are ±5 mm

Requirements for installation of internal sewerage:

  • sockets of fittings and pipes are mounted against the flow;
  • joints cast iron pipes insulated with tarred hemp with caulking cement mortar;
  • It is advisable to mount the toilet outlet directly to the drain pipe, in extreme cases - through a pipe (cast iron, PE) or coupling (rubber);
  • when installing a toilet with direct outlet, the outlet pipe socket is installed flush with the floor;
  • installation of the toilet is acceptable using screws (with a rubber gasket under the base) or glue;
  • The flush pipe of the urinal tray is installed at an angle of 45°, down towards the wall.

Frame installation attached toilet with hidden cistern and bidet

SNiP 2.08.01-89 and departmental standards minimum, maximum or optimal sizes horizontally when placing plumbing equipment:

  • between the bidet and the toilet - no less than 0.25 m, but not so far as to reduce ergonomics - no more than 0.45 m;
  • there should be a bidet in front of the toilet open space- from 0.6 m;
  • on both sides of the toilet, bidet there should be free space - from 0.25 m;
  • there should be an open space in front of the bathtub or shower stall - from 0.7 m;
  • in front of the washbasin free area should be WxD - at least 0.7x1.1 m, if the washbasin is located in a niche - at least 0.7x0.95 m;
  • the recommended distance from the bathtub/cabin to the washbasin is 0.3 m;
  • The recommended distance from the bathtub/cabin to the heated towel rail is 0.5-0.4 m.

Optimal placement of washbasin and mirror

Recommendations for placement of equipment, water supply to mixers, drain diameters

At the construction design stage, you need to think about the number of bathrooms - toilets and bathrooms, for correct placement risers and load metering. If the house is large and guest rooms are planned, or several generations of a family live in the house - parents, children, grandchildren, then it makes sense to organize more than one bathroom. The guest bathroom can only contain a toilet and washbasin; the master bathrooms are equipped with an additional bathtub or shower.

A lot of useful information on the installation of plumbing and ready-made layouts for various cases can be found in Ernst Neufert’s encyclopedia “Building Design”. This will be especially useful for those who do not have a large bathroom and toilet area.

When placing equipment, sometimes you just need to focus on common sense. So, in most cases, a bathtub is placed along one of the walls or in a corner, but if space allows, you can install it as an island by wiring it in a hidden channel in the floor or floor box. The minimum area of the bathroom dictates the installation of a corner shower or sitz bath. When designing a bathroom with natural light you need to take into account the size, placement and type of glazing of the window.

The longer the bathtub, the shallower it can be

A mirror is usually installed above the washbasin. If the mirror is located on the cabinet door, it should be located above the top point of the faucet spout. When installing two separate washbasins in a room, the distance between them should not be less than 90 cm, otherwise simultaneous use will be difficult. In this case, it is convenient to place a heated towel rail or a towel rack between the washbasins.

Consider the presence of shelves and cabinets, washing machine, baskets for dirty laundry, outlets (if necessary). A bathroom can be very functional even if it is small in size.

Left/right - how to properly supply cold and hot water to the mixer

Traditionally, water supply to mixers is carried out based on right-handed people and taking into account the fact that the tap cold water used more often: on the right - cold water, on the left - hot. In addition, this arrangement is safer for right-handed children - there is less risk of accidentally scalding hot water(note to parents whose children are left-handed!).

And yet, in most cases, this arrangement is a matter of habit, especially if the connections are made flexible hoses. However, for faucets with a thermostat, correct connection is necessary, otherwise they will not work. Some manufacturers equip their models with replaceable thermostatic cartridges, which allows you to “switch” an incorrectly connected faucet without dismantling the installation if the wiring is hidden.

Thermostatic mixer

For correct drainage, the diameters of sewer drains must correspond to the drain flow rate or connecting diameters from plumbing equipment. Data on minimum diameters drain pipes are shown in Table 3.

Table 3

The long-awaited renovation of the bathroom has been completed, and the owners of an apartment or house are faced with the question of how to properly position the plumbing fixtures. After all, it should create comfort and at the same time be located in accordance with sanitary standards. The largest element is the bathtub, for which you need to choose the optimal location in the room.

Plumbing installation standards

Bathroom equipment and furniture are placed not just like that, but in accordance with regulated standards. This is necessary to ensure proper water supply and drain installation. When planning a bathroom renovation, wires, water and sewer pipes, outlets for lighting fixtures, sockets are installed taking into account the future location of plumbing.

First of all, a toilet is installed if the bathroom and toilet are combined. It should be as close as possible to sewer pipes for easy cleaning in case of blockage. According to the requirements, the correct location of plumbing requires maintaining a certain distance:

  • The optimal location of the bath from the door is 70 cm.
  • From bath to heated towel rail, hanger - 50-70 cm.
  • The toilet or bidet is located 60 cm from the door.
  • The location of the bathtub from the washbasin is 30 cm.
  • From the washbasin to the toilet (bidet) – 25 cm.
  • Washbasin - 80 cm from the floor, 70 cm from the door.

If you take into account the indicated distances, the location of all plumbing fixtures in the bathroom will not only be correct, but also comfortable. You need to carefully measure the dimensions of the room in order to choose a bathtub of the optimal shape - round, corner, oval. Premises are classified depending on the size and height of the ceiling into a bathroom, a combined bathroom, a toilet and a bathroom. It differs from other rooms in dimensions. The area of the bathroom should be from 3.3 sq.m., typically the location of a bathtub, washbasin, washing machine and shower. A combined bathroom is a common option for a room with a toilet where there is a toilet.

Installation features by room type

Premises for water-hygienic procedures differ in both size and shape. Taking this factor into account, they choose plumbing fixtures and optimal location bathtubs in the bathroom. Installation Features:

  • Narrow and long room. It is convenient to place plumbing fixtures along the walls, as in the photo. On the opposite side there is a heated towel rail, sockets, a tulip, a lamp, a mirror. There remains a convenient passage and access to all equipment. If the width of a small room is more than 150 cm, the bathtub is mounted under a short wall, if less than 150 cm - under a long one.
  • Large room. There is enough space here to install a bathtub in the center, as in the photo. This creates a complete feeling of comfort. Plumbing fixtures with legs look ideal. One condition is to bring the pipes to the bathtub under the floor to hide the communications. In a spacious room, the bathtub can be installed anywhere; you need a lamp on the wall and an overhead light, sockets for the boiler and washing machine.
  • Rectangular room. Correct location bathroom - in the corner along the wall. This will allow you to wisely save space in small room. A washbasin with a mirror and a lamp will comfortably fit next to the bathroom, and at some distance – furniture or a washing machine. The correct location of the toilet is on the opposite side of the room, as in the photo.
  • Small square room. In such a room it is generally difficult to place a full bath, and many people prefer shower stalls. But not everyone likes it water procedures only in the shower. Therefore, in the corner there is a small square room rationally arrange corner bath semicircular shape shown in the photo. This way you can save space for a washbasin, a tulip with a lamp and small mirror, heated towel rail.

When choosing a location for installing a bathtub, you need to take into account where the communication pipes run. If redevelopment of the premises is required, it is necessary to obtain permission from the relevant authorities. To avoid paperwork and wasting a lot of time, it is better to choose plumbing fixtures of a suitable shape and install the bathtub in the place where the drain is provided.

Where to place a bath according to Feng Shui

One of fashion trends, which more and more homeowners adhere to when arranging rooms, is the teaching of Feng Shui. Some people install a bed according to Feng Shui, others make the front door on the side recommended by fashion teachings. And some people install a bathtub according to Feng Shui to receive the energy of water.

You can look at a photo of the location of the bathroom, the features of which are as follows:

  • Room for water and hygiene procedures. Correct location with north side houses or apartments - in the direction of the element of water.
  • The shape of the bathtub, in order for it to comply with Feng Shui ideas, should be round, oval or semicircular, the toilet is hidden from view.
  • The color palette of furniture, accessories and plumbing fixtures is predominantly light, white, pastel, soft blue or green.
  • Bright, but not blinding, lighting is very important. If the room has a window, this is ideal.
  • According to Feng Shui, the placement of plumbing fixtures in the bathroom should be such that from anywhere in the room a person can see the person entering and not turn their back to the door.

In fashion eastern teaching There should be no objects in the bathroom that interfere with the passage of good qi energy and unnecessary things. Should plumbing be placed according to Feng Shui or recommended sanitary standards, it is up to the homeowners to decide.

The emphasis should be on convenience, comfort and the right system connecting the water supply and sewerage, and then - on the aesthetic component of the room’s design.

Space is limited, and several items need to be connected to the water supply and sewer system at once. And don’t forget about ergonomics and a basic sense of comfort. We study permissible distances between plumbing fixtures, choose a place for a bathtub, washbasin and toilet with a bidet.

Where to begin?

We make a plan. To do this you need to know exact dimensions bathroom, location of sewerage riser and water supply. We draw a plan of the room to scale and sketch out the placement of plumbing fixtures in the bathroom with a pencil. Even more convenient: use a scheduler program from the Internet (available, for example, on the IKEA website). Let's take a closer look at the main elements of this plan.

Moydodyr A582 10 / 20 XX from Villeroy & Boch.

Washbasin with mirror

In the spotlight. Ideally, this is the first item that should fall into the field of view of someone entering the bathroom. (From the point of view of feeling comfortable in the bathroom, it is considered a mistake if the main attention is drawn to the toilet or bathtub). The washbasin is mounted at a height of 80 cm from the floor. There must be at least 70 cm in front of him free space.

Washbasin BN46A / BN50A from Flaminia.

Two sinks or one

Depends on personal habits. If you are comfortable with sharing the morning or evening toilet and are used to brushing your teeth together with someone in the household, then install two sinks. It is best to combine them with one tabletop. Naturally, there should be enough space in the bathroom. The distance between the sinks along the axis of the mixers is at least 90 cm, and between the edges of the sinks - 25 cm.

Toilet K-3393 from Kohler.

Toilet

Tied to a boner. Try to place them as close to the sewer riser as possible. It is not recommended to place the toilet at a great distance from the riser: it is difficult to maintain the required angle of inclination of the drain pipe of two degrees (you will have to raise the floor level or hide the pipe in the wall). The more bends there are in it, the more likely the risk of blockage. Distance from leading edge the toilet bowl to the opposite wall should be at least 60 cm, on the sides - at least 25 cm on each side. And remember: from the point of view of psychological comfort, the toilet should not be the first object that catches your eye when entering the bathroom.

Bidet 750 CER750B from Agape.

Bidet

Place it next to the toilet. The placement conditions are the same: 60 cm from the front edge to the wall opposite and 25 cm on the sides. It is not always possible to place a bidet in small bathrooms standard apartments. In this case, you can buy a toilet with bidet functions - there are now many such models in both the budget and top segments (Duravit, Ideal Standard, VitrA have them).

Shower cabin Europa 10 from Samo.

Bath or cabin

Depends on the area. The placement of plumbing fixtures in a combined bathroom allows for options. If the length of the short wall in the bathroom is 160 cm or more, it is better to place the bath along it. An elongated rectangular bathroom will appear more proportional with this placement. If the short wall is less than one and a half meters, then consider replacing the bathtub with a cabin or explore the range corner models. Because placing a bathtub along a long wall in a narrow room is not the best option. As with the washbasin, there should be at least 70 cm of free space in front of the bathtub.

Diva bathtub from Burgbad.

Freestanding bath

Not an option for a typical apartment. A bathroom for a free-standing bath must be at least 9 square meters. meters. Only in this case does it make sense to think about such a complex (in terms of installation and connection) design. Severe demands are placed on the floor and ceilings: they must be more durable than when installing a conventional wall-mounted bathtub: a freestanding bathtub together with the entire installation system usually weighs much more.

Sink 1116601101 from Ido.

Washing machine

Not far from the drain. Drain hose the machine cannot be longer than one and a half meters, and the connection point with drain pipe should be at a height of 70-90 cm from the floor. In this case, there must be enough free space in front of the front-loading machine to open the hatch. Options if there is a lack of space are mini machines under the sink and top-loading machines. If the placement of plumbing fixtures in the bathroom is such that there is no room left for the machine, try fitting it into the kitchen.

Wardrobe Leon credenza from Cantori.

Cabinets

The final stage. Furniture for storage is planned when the placement of plumbing fixtures in the bathroom has already been thought out. To ensure that cabinets do not violate the integrity of the internal volume of the bathroom, it is better to place them along the wall where the door is located. Then the person entering will see them last. In small bathrooms, it is better to use wall cabinets (so as not to take up space on the floor) and with mirrored doors (for the effect of expanding the space). For storing powders and detergents can be installed in a sanitary closet. If there are ledges in the walls, think about it. Shouldn't we turn them into storage niches?

Specialization: master of internal and exterior decoration(plaster, putty, tiles, drywall, lining, laminate and so on). In addition, plumbing, heating, electrical, conventional cladding and balcony extensions. That is, renovations in an apartment or house were done on a turnkey basis with all necessary types works

Installation or complete replacement plumbing in the bathroom and toilet is also associated with other work, without which such a “gesheft” loses its meaning. The whole point is that for complete update you will also have to replace the decoration of the walls, ceiling and floor, and only in this case will you feel all the charm of the newness.

I want to tell you how to make such changes with your own hands and suggest watching the video in this article.

Plumbing in the bathroom

Since the topic was announced specifically on plumbing, I will first of all point out its installation and placement. We will talk about decoration and design only in general outline, although this is also part of the bathroom arrangement.

Criterion No. 1 - preparation and calculation

If you are interested in replacing plumbing fixtures in the bathroom and toilet, then the old bathrooms are at least 5-10 years old, and this also applies to wiring and finishing:

  • of course, it all starts with dismantling the old bathrooms - the sink, the bathtub and the toilet, which must not only be removed, but also taken out of the apartment so that they do not interfere with work;
  • then we move on to dismantling the old tiles, which, by the way, can be removed together with the plaster or separately - whichever is more convenient for you;
  • knocking down old tiles and plaster, you get access to the old water supply and sewerage wiring, and if it was done hidden, then consider yourself lucky;
  • the fact is that in this case you can simply tear out the pipes from the grooves, freeing the groove, therefore, you do not have to cut and chisel new ones;
  • the fact is that for most people, cutting a new groove is tantamount to beating plaster - no less dust;
  • but with regard to the old water supply and sewerage connections, someone may be stingy, wanting to leave them, but I do not advise doing this;
  • if they were made 10 years ago, then most likely metal plastic was used, and it should be replaced with polypropylene, and the price PVC sewer Compared to repairs, it’s pennies;
  • when you clean the wall and renew the grooves and clean the room, open it with a primer - firstly, this is necessary for plastering and, secondly, there will be less dust;
  • if your walls were lined with plasterboard, then this greatly simplifies the situation - the profiles, of course, will have to be broken, but there will be much less dust.

I won’t even talk about bathrooms in the private sector or in luxury homes - their size allows you to work wonders. Let's focus better on small bathrooms:

  • for example, in “Khrushchev” or “Brezhnevka” bathrooms have 3-4 m2, and placing beautiful plumbing fixtures in such an area is a real art;
  • right now you will need to decide on the placement, since the arrangement depends entirely on the water supply and sewerage connections;

1 — Entrance door; 2 - toilet; 3 - sink; 4 — shower; 5 - washing machine

  • here is an example placement plumbing units in Khrushchev - as you can see, the bathroom was sacrificed, replacing it with a cubicle, but there was room for a washing machine;
  • in some cases, separate bathrooms are combined intentionally in order to somehow increase the area, and this actually gives some freedom of action;

Arrangement in a five-square bath: 1 door; 2 - toilet; 3 - washing machine;

  • Of course, in some houses, for example, in type P-44, the baths are slightly larger and here, naturally, the possibilities increase;
  • in such situations, you can even install a washing machine in the bathroom automatic car, but the bath should still be left in place. There is an opportunity to make some moves of the sink and toilet, everything is at your discretion;
  • and one more thing - arrange all the nodes so that you can maintain a sewer slope (this will be the 50th pipe) of 2.5-3.5 cm/m linear.

The only unit where a slope is not required is a washing machine - there is a forced drain.

Criterion No. 2 - piping layout

I have already said that it is very important to hide the entire pipeline under the finish. Moreover, it is desirable that these are not boxes, but simply a flat wall or floor, especially if you are interested in built-in plumbing.

Of course, if you have a “socket”, that is, “Brezhnevka” or P-44, then you are unlikely to plaster and, most likely, will line the walls with plasterboard. Therefore, you can hide all pipelines underneath without gating.

But that’s not the point here - you definitely need to align each fitting and bend so that the pipes, nuts and couplings of the bathrooms exactly match them. That's why I talked about accurate calculations.

I have already mentioned the slope of the sewer, so imagine that you want to install a bathtub, box or shower somewhere at the end of the chain, that is, at long distance from the entry point of the 50th pipe into the riser. We need a slope of 2.5-3.5 cm/m linear, this means that with each meter the pipe will rise by about 3 cm, as required by the instructions.

Were you able to calculate whether it would fit at a sufficient height to the siphon of any of these units? This is very common and quite serious mistake amateurs - then they reduce the slope, as a result of which frequent blockages occur and the drainage is very slow.

If you definitely make the sewer system from PVC, then the water supply may already be in question. Most likely it will be polypropylene, and it comes in four types.

So, two of them do not have reinforcement, these are PPR PN-10 and PN-16, and two are reinforced with aluminum foil, these are PPR PN-20 and PN-25. The first two options are intended only for cold water, and the second two are for any kind.

I advise you to use for water pipe reinforced pipes both for cold water and hot water, but PN-20 is best, since welding PN-25 will require a stripper - the reinforcement is located too close to the top.

PPR welding parameters

Most likely, you will use a 20-gauge pipe, in extreme cases - a 25-gauge pipe, which equates to metal ones, like 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch. And the passage of water must be ensured unhindered. Therefore, pay attention to the table above, and you will understand how to make the weld correctly so that the flash does not block the passage or the connection does not turn out to be weak.

In order for the connection to be as compact as possible, you can learn one enough simple thing- for faucets, fittings with internal thread, and for connecting hoses - from the outside.

Also, since installing PPR plumbing is essentially easy, don't get complacent. Errors in the angle of rotation of the fitting can lead to the fact that you will not install the mixer or it will leak, which is also no good. And also considering the fact that the distance between the centers of the fittings should be exactly 150 mm, it is best for you to use a soldering strip with ready-made standard parameters.

And one more note about how to install plumbing, whether you have drywall or plaster - do not solder the fittings right away, even the soldering strip for the mixer! Make leads with pieces of pipes and weld them with plugs.

And after finishing, solder the fittings so that they are flush with the front finish, for example, with ceramic tiles. If it is under the tiles, then they will need to be pushed out somewhere 6-10 mm beyond the level of the plaster - it all depends on the thickness of the tile and the adhesive layer.

Criterion No. 3 - electrical wiring

Good lighting is half the success of a successful interior

Even the most beautiful plumbing It won’t look its best if there is no good lighting in the bathroom. Moreover, the point here is not only in brightness, but in the location of the lamps.

Of course, it is best if the light in the room falls from two sides - from above and from the side, that is, if you have ceiling and Wall lights. And it is advisable that one of them is not too bright, since shiny ceramics will be unpleasantly reflected in the eyes. Hence, the best option will Spotlights on the ceiling (built-in or overhead) and dim sconces on the walls, for example, along the edges of the mirror.

Also regarding safety - all electrical appliances located in the bathroom must be grounded. This means that you must provide for this when routing the wires.

In addition, the wires themselves must have a sufficient cross-section, since they will be closed and cannot be replaced. Therefore, for electric boiler and a washing machine, it is best to use copper with a cross-section of 2-3 mm 2. This, of course, is a lot, but you will be calm that even with poor contact, your wiring will withstand.

Criterion No. 4 - smooth and beautifully finished floors, walls and ceilings

For some reason, everyone is used to talking only about lighthouse plaster on walls and lighthouse screed, losing sight of the ceiling, but this plane is no less important than the floor and walls. Depends on her high quality finish And general form interior

Of course, if your ceilings are, for example, 260 cm or more, then suspended structure, and sometimes two tiers, solves all problems. But if the height of the room is two and a half meters, then you will have to work hard here.

It is in such standard rooms that a lighthouse ceiling is made - after all, it is not always just puttied, sometimes ceramic tiles are also placed there.

There is no need to talk for a long time about the floor and walls - beacons are required to be installed here, because the installation of plumbing fixtures in the bathroom depends on this. It should be level on the floor and relative to the walls.

In addition, some plumbing fixtures, such as a toilet, are attached directly to the floor, which requires rigid and level base so that the bathroom does not wobble. Another part of the plumbing fixtures is attached to the wall; these are sinks and wall-mounted models of bidets and toilets. Here, too, rigidity and evenness are required (in the case of plasterboard, reinforcing profiles are installed on the frame).

Regardless of the size of the bathroom, ceramic tile It will always look beautiful there, as the material harmonizes perfectly with ceramics and metal.

And, as a rule, the question of which plumbing fixture to choose often depends on the color, size and composition of the tile. Or, on the contrary, the selection of tiles is made in accordance with the plumbing fixtures already purchased.

Criterion No. 5 - plumbing units

First, I want to draw your attention to how to choose plumbing fixtures good quality and, of course, one of the main criteria is its cost. If we talk about producing countries, then in Europe the best are probably the Germans and Italians.

Although this does not mean that you cannot buy good and even excellent products Russian production, besides, cheaper. It's all about brands. And I, as a master, am also partially dependent on this - habit takes too much of a toll.

Of course, such plumbing as in the photo above will be High Quality simply by default, since the kind of money it costs does not allow for defects in production.

And here is the excellent design of Khrushchev’s bathtub. All plumbing fixtures are selected in accordance with the size of the room; light colors predominate both in the decoration and in the installed plumbing fixtures. Remember light shades visually “expand” the space.

You should also pay attention to faucets, without which any bathtub nowadays loses its meaning. They come in two-valve, single-lever, overhead, built-in and non-contact types. Decide for yourself which is better, but...

In order to choose a good one, you need to not just think about how to clean such metal, but how it will behave in conditions high humidity where he will be permanently located. The best faucets are made from of stainless steel, followed by galvanized steel, then brass, but under no circumstances should you purchase shut-off valves made of silumin!

Laconic single lever mixer

Also affects the quality of mixers shut-off valves, these are cartridges, ball valves and valve axle boxes. Single-lever faucets use cartridges and ball valves, but the latter are much more durable, although they are more expensive.

The same can be said about faucet axle boxes for two-valve mixers - they are cheaper, they have a worm rod and a rubber shutter. And more expensive, but also more durable ones have a ceramic pair that regulates the water pressure.

Well, the most expensive ones are touchless faucets, where you can set the default water temperature (knob on the side). Their quality is usually guaranteed.

Conclusion

If piping and finishing is done on high level, then installing plumbing fixtures in the bathroom with your own hands will only bring you pleasure - be sure of it! And if you want to add something, then write a comment about it on this page.
