Scrape the husks off the garlic cloves, pass through a garlic press, throw into the marinade, add a measured portion of tomato paste, and mix.

Mix the prepared gravy with chopped onions and peppers in a separate container, then add an apple, previously cut into medium cubes.

Wash the turkey drumstick, blot any drops with a napkin, and use a sharp knife to make deep cuts at a distance of 2-3 centimeters, as seen in the photo.

Place the turkey leg in a heat-resistant form, pour the prepared mixture on top, spread it over the entire leg, paying special attention to the cut areas. Marinate the turkey for about 1 hour.

Meanwhile, peel the pumpkin from the hard crust and chop into large segments.

Place the pumpkin pieces near the drumstick and season with salt. Cover the pan with foil, place in the oven, bake for 1.5 hours, but the time also depends on the size of the drumstick. Oven temperature - 180 degrees. After cutting the foil, bake the turkey for another 6-8 minutes.

Turkey drumstick is inexpensive, unlike thigh or, especially, fillet, but it makes very tasty dishes. For example, I really love a turkey leg baked in the oven, or a turkey roll made from it - it’s delicious and liked by literally all family members. Today we will bake a turkey leg for a family dinner.

So, wash the turkey leg under running water and dry it with a paper towel. It is better to cut off the lower joint, it is not needed. Peel the onion and garlic.
