How to make a children's playhouse with your own hands

We begin the construction of the playhouse with the floor frame. We mount the base, align it diagonally, reinforce it with a middle beam and metal corners.

We choose a flat place for the house and, using the frame, mark the 4 corner points necessary for the improvised foundation.

To give the house greater stability, we lay the floor frame at 4 foundation blocks. We level the blocks with a sand bed in recesses equal to 1 shovel bayonet. We lay a layer of waterproofing between the frame and the foundation.

We sew up the floor frame with boards to create a strong, even floor.

When the floor is ready, we process it from the ground side and begin installing the wall frame with windows and an entrance.

Important: To prevent children from getting splinters and cuts, you should use only jointed material and remove all chamfers on open corners: on frame bars - with a plane, on metal reinforcement corners - with a grinder.

On work surface mark the rafter template. We attach the rafter bars to the working surface (nail with 2 nails, but not completely, leaving a gap to remove the nails). After this, we sew in the rafter and cut it according to the template, strengthening all corners and joints with metal corners, and only after that we remove the temporary nails.

We attach the finished rafters (3 pieces) to the frame with a temporary jib (an inclined beam-support), set it plumb, and then connect it to the wall frame with metal beam holders.

When the frame is ready, you can begin covering it with clapboard.

Following the walls, we sheathe the roof edged board- we sew the boards from the ridge on both sides, remove the temporary jibs and then sew up the entire roof. We cut the top with ondulin and install the ondulin ridge. By the way, cutting ondulin is very convenient with a grinder with a cutting disc.

Since our house should be childlike, elegant and positive, we decorate the end of the roof and window openings carved platbands, which can be purchased ready-made, we cut in the window sills and sew up the corners of the house with a smooth figured corner.

Inside the house, don’t forget to arrange several tables and benches for children.

In general, the house is ready, all that remains is to paint it bright colors and show it to the kids!

Who among us didn’t want to have our own playhouse as a child? Remember all these “headquarters” in the bushes, huts made of chairs and blankets? And what about the children’s tree house, seen in foreign films and seeming like the ultimate dream? Today there is a wide variety of stores various models capable of making such a dream a reality. Well, if you can’t afford to buy a ready-made house, you can always make a children’s house with your own hands, creating your own individual play area for the child.

This seemingly simple game element actually brings a lot of benefits to the child.

  1. Child's personal space. Here you can retire, keep your secrets, get used to having your own “comfort zone”. This gives children more confidence.
  2. Space for playing role models (remember the well-known “mother-daughter” games?). Psychologists insist that such entertainment is important for the formation of personality and awareness of social roles.
  3. An original way to teach a child order. Cleaning an apartment is boring. But cleaning your own house is another matter. This is how grafting happens useful habit– from smallest to largest.
  4. IN one-room apartment This is a great way to give your child his own territory.
  5. Decorating such a house helps develop a sense of taste. So, be sure to involve your child in the setting process. Better yet, entrust it completely to your children.

Small house for children

Let's start planning

Look at the estimate and drawing again. Estimate how much time and money your idea will require. If necessary, make changes. Remember: this hallway renovation can be put off from year to year. But an unfinished playhouse will be a great disappointment for children.

Choosing material

Do-it-yourself children's houses are made of wood, cardboard or fabric.

Wood is the best option for outdoor playhouses. It is durable, allows you to create structures of various designs, is environmentally friendly and aesthetically attractive.

Children's playhouse frame

Cardboard and fabric - good options for apartments where the mobility of the structure plays an important role. It is possible that sometimes a house can simply interfere with the walls of an apartment, and fabric and cardboard can make it easily disassembled or even foldable.

Playhouse

Choosing a design - from simple to complex

log cabin

This design is not only difficult to assemble, but also requires serious investments, after all wooden frame It's not cheap. But from a visual point of view, this option is impeccable. If funds allow, treat your child to a fairy-tale house.

Let's move on to construction

Let's consider the process of creating a children's house with your own hands using the example of a structure made of timber. To begin with, let's decide on the drawing. When the design selection is complete, we begin purchasing materials.

We will need following materials:

Small house for two girls

First, we assemble the frame from the beams according to the drawings. Next, we cover the resulting frame with boards. Important detail: minimum thickness boards is 2 cm. More thin options will give a structure that is too shaky and unsafe.

DIY children's playhouse

A roof frame is created and installed on the house itself. After which the roof is covered (depending on the selected material). We recommend ondulin as safe and durable.

To increase safety, it is better to varnish or paint the house after assembly.

Small house

A few words about communications

Still, a gaming house is not a full-fledged home. And it would be unnecessary to bring communications to it. It is better to give water to the child in separate containers, just for playing. But electricity in a children's playhouse is not a safe option. It is better to choose battery-powered lamps, or give your child a table lamp.

Bright do-it-yourself children's house

Particular attention should be paid fire safety, especially if the playhouse is made of wood. Be sure to process everything wooden surfaces with special fire-retardant paints or completely cover it with siding.

Small house

The final stage - interior design

Again, remember that the house is designed for play, not for living. Accordingly, his requirements for the situation are different. There is no need for wardrobes or other bulky furniture. They will only overload the space, robbing the child of a place to play. Equip the house simple benches along the walls - so it can accommodate both your child and friends who come to him. To avoid furniture falling, it is better to immediately mount it on the floor. From mobile options, add soft knitted ottomans or a pear chair, if the size of the house allows. Also great option for the playhouse - a hammock.

Wooden house for children

Children usually play on the floor, so a table in the house is not necessary. But soft blankets for the floor will not hurt.

Remember that order in any room, including a playroom, directly depends on the presence of elements capable of organizing this order. Do you want to prevent your child from having toys lying around in his house? So, provide him with boxes or drawers for storing such toys. You can install a real chest in the house. With it, the process of collecting toys will only become more fun and enjoyable.

Big castle

From functional items An easel or chalk board would also look good in the house. Creating in your own corner is a real pleasure, and your child will certainly appreciate this opportunity.

The inside of a girl's house can be equipped with a toy kitchen. Little princesses will undoubtedly appreciate this approach and the opportunity to play “mummy.”

Children's playhouse for children

Don't skimp on exterior decor either. Add to the house carved elements– shutters, balusters, railings. Install a bright weather vane or even a flag on the roof of the house. If the house is high, attach a rope ladder or rope nearby. All this will make the house not only more attractive, but also more interesting for games.

Children's playhouse

Let's sum it up

A children's house is a whole springboard for DIY activities. If you have even minimal carpentry skills, you can create something unique for your child, give him a play space and a place for development. Whatever model you end up focusing on, try to involve children in the construction process. This way you will instill in them a love for physical labor, crafts, creativity, teach them dedication, develop their creative abilities.

And this crooked and flimsy hut seemed the height of perfection and the best refuge in the world. But having matured, almost all parents think about arranging a strong, comfortable, and most importantly, reliable house for their child, especially if there is country house or dachas. And it’s quite easy to build, you just need to get building materials, think about the design and be patient.

Nowadays there are various ready-made plastic houses, but the most popular were and remain children's wooden houses, which you can make with your own hands, taking into account the wishes of the baby and with his possible help. The building, built together, will become a real refuge for a child, a place for games, dreams, or just a quiet cozy corner to hide, sit, think, or even cry. After all, everyone needs their own personal space, and children are no exception.

Playhouses made with your own hands are not only more interesting, original and affordable, but also carry a piece of the love and care of the parents, so the child will be especially cozy and comfortable in such a shelter. And if the baby also puts his hand into making the building, then his joy will know no bounds. You can create playhouses for children using available materials, usually plywood, chipboard sheets or boards, and bright colors will help to color natural tones.

The easiest way to have a beautiful front lawn

Of course you saw perfect lawn in the cinema, on the alley, and perhaps on the neighbor’s lawn. Those who have ever tried to grow a green area on their site will no doubt say that it is a huge amount of work. The lawn requires careful planting, care, fertilization, and watering. However, only inexperienced gardeners think this way; professionals have long known about the innovative product - liquid lawn AquaGrazz.

Before building a children's wooden house, you must initially think through the future structure, paying attention to the following features:

Drawing of a children's house made of plywood

  • materials needed for construction;
  • placement - the house should be on dry and sunny area garden, yard or cottage, within sight, in addition, you need to consider whether the building will touch the ground, since the manufacture of a ground or elevated structure is significantly different;
  • number of windows and doors, their sizes;
  • house addition decorative elements, slides, canopies, fences, swings, stairs or sandboxes, as in the photo;
  • type of interior decoration.

During these reflections, it is better to draw up approximate drawings in which all the wishes of the parents and the child himself will be noted. When developing a construction plan, you need to consider that:

  • the house must have at least 2 windows so that adults can see children playing;
  • For convenience, the lower border of the windows should be at a height of about 50-60 centimeters from the floor of the house;
  • the doors need to be arranged at least 25-30 centimeters higher than the height of the baby, but it is better to make them with a reserve so that, if desired, adults can come to visit the child;
  • external and interior walls it is better to make it level and safe so as not to injure children during the game;
  • It is better to make the roof steep so that the child does not want to climb on it.

You can develop drawings yourself, relying only on your desires and capabilities, or you can take a simpler route and use already developed, verified and practice-tested drawings that can be found on the Internet.

Let's look at the main types of children's houses and the features of their construction:

  1. Plywood children's playhouses

This option is the fastest to build in a garden or yard, and the facades can be decorated bright colors to protect plywood sheets from precipitation and winds, as in the photo. To make a plywood house according to ready-made drawings, the contours of walls, windows and doorways. The plywood sheets themselves should be about 10mm thick to last long enough. For this type of house, you can make a light foundation or do without it at all. For strength, you need to dig support beams into the ground at the corners, having previously treated the wood to prevent rotting.

Choosing the type of plywood house

Next, they begin to manufacture wall panels; for this, a frame is knocked down from a wooden beam with a section thickness of 5 by 5 cm using nails or screws, to which plywood cut according to the drawing is nailed. This is how all walls are made, which are firmly nailed to the support beams. The roof can also be made of plywood, and for strength it is recommended to nail roofing boards on top with an overlap. All corners and edges should be polished using sandpaper– and you can decorate the house with multi-colored paints. But you need to remember that all varnishes and coloring matter must be extremely safe, because the child will spend a lot of time in this house and constantly inhale fumes.

  1. Children's wooden houses made of solid boards

A house made from solid high-quality boards will last much longer than its plywood counterpart, because well-treated wood can retain its shape for centuries. Therefore, such a children's house will serve not only children, but also grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. And such a house on the territory of a country house or dacha looks very beautiful and elegant (as in the photo) - which is not a reason to choose this particular option for a children's shelter.

Let's consider a simple version of a children's house for a summer cottage made of wooden boards with our own hands. Like any structure, wooden playhouses need quality support. The foundation for a building can be made of wood, eliminating the long and painstaking pouring of concrete. But to increase the service life, it is better to dig a hole about a meter deep at the site of the future building and lay the foundations out of brick. Brick can also be replaced terrace board, but its cost will be significantly higher. The simplest and fastest foundation is a few brick pillars and a timber frame attached to them. The drawings will help you become familiar with the features of such a foundation.

Construction of the dlma frame

After creating the base, you can start making the floor; for this you will need good floorboards. First, logs are attached to the harness, which are covered with boards tightly fitted to one another. To save money, you can get by with OSB or a double layer of plywood, as in the photo.

Next comes the turn of the walls. To build them, it is necessary to dig support beams into the ground in the corners and in places where windows and doors will be placed, having previously treated the wood protective equipment. Next, the walls are covered with boards. The roof is made of timber, the construction technology is similar to previous version plywood house.

After completing the roofing work, you can begin interior decoration. Wood must be protected from moisture and pests by covering it by special means, and then with varnish or stain. For convenience, tables and benches need to be installed inside the building. suitable for the child sizes. Below are drawings of such a wooden house.

Video of the construction of a children's house in the country

An interesting option for a children's house is a hut on chicken legs, like from the fairy tale about Baba Yaga. A feature of constructing such a structure with your own hands is the presence of high supports, which can be made of brick, thick wooden logs or thick steel pipes. The height of the support should be no more than 70 centimeters for the safety of children. The supports must be strong and well dug into the soil, creating a reliable foundation for the children's house. The features of such a building are visible in the photo.

Next, it is attached to the base wooden beam, which will serve as the frame of the house. Strong floorboards are laid end to end on the square frame - and the flooring is ready. Next, you can begin installing the walls, which is carried out by analogy with plywood and wooden houses - first they are made from timber wooden frame, and then sheath it with sheets of plywood or boards. The base of the roof is made of timber, on which metal tiles, slate, plywood or laminate are laid.

Since the house is raised above the ground, the entrance to it must be equipped with a strong wooden ladder, for safety it is better to supplement it with good high railings, as in the photo. Such an unusual and fabulous structure will add an amazing magical flavor to the design of the dacha.

  1. Tree house

Older children will be delighted with the shelter built on the branches of a tree, because climbing into it is an adventure in itself. Making it with your own hands is also quite simple, you just need to find it at your dacha site tall tree strong species (oak is most suitable) with a height of the lower branches of about 7 m, a crown base height of 5 m and a trunk diameter of at least a meter. After choosing a tree, you need to carefully consider the drawings in accordance with the individual location of the branches. Often, such houses are made of boards, have various configurations, and the entrance to them is provided using ladders or rope ladders; an example can be seen in the photo. Such a structure will become not only a reliable refuge for a child, but also an extraordinary decoration of the dacha.

Construction of the walls of the house

Children's wooden playhouses are so beautiful and varied design, which will not only become a favorite place for games and pastime of any child, but will also perfectly decorate the garden or yard of any dacha.

Making a plywood house

For small children, you can make a light and simple house with your own hands using ready-made drawings, as in the photo.

For a square building with a wall length of 1.7 meters you will need:

  • Chipboard, 4 sheets with a size of 2 by 1.7 m;
  • timber 2.5 by 2.5 cm long, 35 centimeters each, 8 pieces;
  • timber 2.5 by 2.5 cm, 2.5 meters long for making walls, 13 pieces, 8 of them need to be cut from the top to the corner;
  • boards 5 by 15 cm 2 meters long to strengthen the floor, 4 pieces;
  • boards with a section of 15 by 5 cm, 2 meters long for making the floor surface, 13 pieces;
  • nails, screws, metal angles, hacksaw, hammer and other tools for woodworking.

When all the materials are ready, you can start building the house with your own hands.

First, using a rope and stakes, you need to measure out a 2 by 2 meter area, carefully level it, clear it of stones and debris, and compact it. Next, in the corners of the square, you need to dig holes with a diameter of about 20 centimeters, into which you firmly dig corner supports so that 15 cm of timber remains on the surface. In the same way, additional supports are dug in in the middle of each side. Next, using a level, the places for attaching the floor boards are determined; here you need to be careful to avoid distortions. These 4 boards are nailed to the support bars in the form of a box, which then needs to be hammered on top with floor boards - and the flooring is ready.

Ready wooden house

Next, you can proceed to the construction of walls; for this, take a sheet of chipboard and two pointed bars of 2.5 meters each, they are nailed to the long sides of the sheet so that the smooth edge is flush with the sheet, and the pointed one protrudes. This is how all four walls are made, but windows should be cut out in two, and a doorway in the third. After this, the resulting walls are hammered into the ground close to the wooden box and connected to each other using corners and screws to avoid the appearance of cracks.

When the walls are ready, you can safely begin building the roof. To do this, you need to take two beams and cut out their corners at an angle of 45 degrees; if desired, the angle of the roof can be increased and a small sloping roof can be made. The two beams should be fastened together using a metal angle and screws. The second triangle for the roof is made in the same way. After this, the triangle should be attached to the front wall of the building and the corners in which the roof will be attached should be marked on the beam; they should be cut out with a hacksaw. Do the same with the opposite wall. Next, the triangles are connected to each other using cross beam and are attached to the building using angles and screws. To cover the roof, metal tiles, laminate, slate or even plywood are suitable - whatever you have on hand or like best. Features of roof construction are shown in the photo.

All that remains is to paint the plywood with colors of your choice - and the house is ready. As you can see, making a children's house out of plywood with your own hands in a garden or dacha is a simple and short-lived task.

DIY house for children: advantages of wooden houses

The procedure for building a children's house at the dacha with your own hands

First of all, you need to clarify what plan the future house will be, decide on it appearance . For this purpose, a schematic drawing is first sketched out to determine the type of building.

Characteristics of children's country house, which must be determined before starting construction work:

Development of a plan for a children's playhouse made of wood

Initially, preparation is required detailed plan construction work, as well as sketches and drawings. It is important to take into account the specifics of the future structure:

  • The distance between the floor and ceiling should be at least one and a half meters. However, it is undesirable to make the room too high.
  • Will the right decision install at least two windows. Firstly, such a measure will provide sufficient lighting in the room of the house. Secondly, you need to remember about the safety of children, who need constant supervision. Children can be monitored through windows.
  • It is recommended to make the door up to the ceiling level. This way, the child will definitely not get a bump on his forehead, and besides, it is possible that adults will someday have to stop by to visit the baby.
  • To avoid unnecessary injury, all walls from the inside and outside should be smooth.
  • It is better to make the roof sloping, since a flat one can attract children, and sooner or later they will perch on the roof, which will create a traumatic situation.

Tools and materials for construction

Before you start building a small country house for children, you need purchase the following tools:

List of materials that will be required for the construction process:

  • Wooden beam for frame house. Builders recommend using timber with a cross-section of 50X50.
  • Cladding lumber. You should choose plywood whose thickness does not exceed 10 mm. Oriented strand boards are also used. They are cheaper than plywood, but more wear-resistant. Everything is at the discretion of the owners.
  • Roofing material.
  • Bricks.
  • Glass for window frames. It must be taken into account that glass is unsafe for a child, therefore, if you want to increase the access of light to the house, it is better to install plastic windows.

How to make a children's house: construction technology

Foundation and floor

Similar to construction big houses, children's playhouses they begin to build by laying the foundation. You can use earth, gravel, cement or crushed stone as the base.

Exist different variants, which are suitable for laying wooden boards. Some are filming upper layer soil, the top is covered with crushed stone, the area is leveled, and then support bars are laid on the site. You can do it differently: each corner of the building should be paved with a special concrete block, and the supports are placed on a sand cushion. Thus, the corners of the building will be placed at a depth of up to half a meter. The soil from the recesses should be removed, and a mixture of sand and gravel should be poured into them. Then the holes are carefully compacted.

Blocks are installed on the prepared places, which must be on the same level. To prevent the frame from being crooked, you should use a building level.

Without a waterproofing layer, the house will not be able to stand for many years. Most often, the insulator is roofing felt or modern bitumen-polymer mastic. Some people prefer natural ventilation. In this case little house built on metal rods or brick pillars no more than 20 cm high.

Walls

Having dealt with the foundation and floor, you can move on to installing the walls. To make walls, it is necessary to construct a frame of beams, which in the next stages is connected to thin cladding boards or panels. We must not forget about doors and windows. The first step should be to install timber in each corner, the cross-section of which is usually 50X50, and length - three meters. The product is cut into three equal parts or in half. Then the beams are attached under the door and window frames.

To fix the main beam, it is nailed to the floor using nails. The main thing is that these nails can be easily pulled out later. This measure is explained by the fact that ensuring a strong connection of building units is possible only with the help of special fastening angles, which are installed later.

Between the rafters, auxiliary spacers must be installed to act as fasteners. Keep in mind that the beams are connected on top by a frame that serves as the basis for roofing covering. After the base for the walls has been prepared, the nails are pulled out and replaced mount metal corners . The playhouse will stand firmly and will not fall apart only when all corners and joints are fastened with corner fasteners.

The bars installed in a horizontal plane mark window openings and the door. Their height is calculated in advance. Calculations are based on the width of the cladding board. Dimensions must be such that when cladding works Oh, there was no need to cut the boards to their width or hide half the frame. In short, you need to estimate how many solid boards can fit into the remaining lower and upper openings. Horizontal struts should be secured at this level.

Roof

The roof of a small playhouse made with your own hands can be high and flat. The design of the roof depends on personal preference. Classic performance requires the following algorithm of actions:

Sheathing and decoration of the house

The final stage of construction includes cladding and decoration of the structure. To create walls, lining, boards or wooden boards. The lining will allow reduce the time of cladding work, since there is no need to adjust elements that fit together without problems. Since the task was to make a children's house, it would not be superfluous to decorate it with multi-colored drawings. TO creative process You can connect the children themselves. Windows can be decorated with carved platbands, which are purchased separately, or made with your own hands.

Inside small house they make a bench and a table, but, of course, these are not the only interior items that can decorate the room. A small porch will give the house a more noble look.

The main thing is that the constructed play structure does not pose a danger to the child’s health. We are talking about proper fastening of elements wooden structure. It is important that during outdoor games the children were not hurt or scratched. The boards need to be carefully planed, and apply protective layer some kind of paint and varnish substance.

Self-tapping screws, nails and metal staples should not protrude or stick out; they are covered with special plugs.
