Alina Kabaeva gave a frank interview: about Putin, her loved one and children. From policeman to president: the personal life of Alina Kabaeva, which she prefers to keep silent about. In your opinion, this could happen here

Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alina Kabaeva became the heroine of the new issue of the Bolshoy Sport magazine, where her friend, the famous gymnast Alexey Nemov, has recently been the editor-in-chief.

In an interview, Alexey asked Alina a question about her personal life, to which the girl replied: “Life experience has taught me not to let anyone into my personal life. Anyone who wants to talk about work, festivals, or other professional issues is welcome, but not about personal matters. The only thing I can say is: I don’t have children. This is true".

Kabaeva admitted that if she did have children, she would gladly enroll them in sports sections. “I don’t know where the boy goes, but the girl goes to rhythmic gymnastics. Sport is a team spirit, responsibility, discipline, communication with guys, a hobby that makes you an adult. The sooner a child understands the difficulties of life, the better. And every time he must go through them to his advantage,” the athlete noted.

Alina herself got into sports thanks to her parents: “Dad was a football player, and mom played basketball. But my mother was not tall... She was an effective point guard and played for the Uzbekistan national team. She was also fond of dancing and performed in the Uzbek ensemble “Berezka”. I think my mother transferred her dreams to me. Her basketball team trained in the same gym as the gymnasts. First, Irina Viner’s players trained, and then the basketball players took to the court. Having once seen Irina Alexandrovna, my mother said: “If I have a girl, I will definitely send her to rhythmic gymnastics, and to this coach.” And so it happened.”

“Actually, I dreamed of the World Cup. I thought that the world championship was more important than the Olympics. This was back in Tashkent. I started thinking about the Games in Moscow, where I moved at the age of 11. Irina Aleksandrovna didn’t want to take me to the section right away. “The girl is old, born in 1983, not 1984. Plus she’s plump,” she told her mother. But my mother didn’t give up, she asked me to watch me in training. Afterwards, Irina Alexandrovna announced the decision: “I’m leaving Alina, and you don’t appear here for three days.” I was given the task of losing three kilograms. For the next three days I drank only mineral water. On the fourth day they allowed me to eat vinaigrette, which I really didn’t like. But then it seemed so tasty to me! So I started training with Wiener. It was difficult, of course. But everything is a matter of motivation,” said Kabaeva.

According to Alina, she likes to relax away from the bustle of the city. “I like to go out into nature with my family, for example, for a walk in Peredelkino. It’s very beautiful there, there’s a good atmosphere, there are excursions to the wonderful museums of Korney Chukovsky and Pasternak. I love the mountains, sometimes I just stay at home, watch movies, read. Some will say that this is a school curriculum, but I advise you to re-read Jack London and his novel “White Fang”. I recently re-read it, enjoyed it immensely, and took a new look at this work. In general, I like the Russian philosopher Ivan Ilyin. His work is close to my spirit. When it’s really bad, I read Remarque - about the difficult fates of people who were much worse off than I am now.<...>Sometimes you can go shopping in Europe or in my beloved St. Petersburg. I’m a woman, and, of course, I always want to look beautiful,” the gymnast emphasized.

However, to get to the very top, the Tashkent gymnastics school was clearly not enough. At the age of 11, Alina moved to Moscow and showed herself to the best Russian coach in this sport. Irina Aleksandrovna Wiener immediately noticed the girl’s extraordinary abilities. But before training began, a very difficult task had to be solved. Wiener noticed that the gymnast was overweight and set a goal for her: to lose three kilograms in three days.

And this is where Kabaeva’s real fighting character emerged. For three whole days she drank only mineral water. On the fourth day, she was allowed to eat some vinaigrette, which Alina hated with a passion. But how delicious it seemed to her then. Since then, her steady path to the top began. On this path, hard work, training until she sweated, restrictions in everything and victories, victories awaited her. It would seem that with such a schedule there is no place for love. Alina had no intention of tying the knot.

“I think it’s worth getting married at least for the beautiful outfit you wear on your wedding day and for the fun banquet. True, I’m not going to do this yet. Many people ask me: “Aline, haven’t you gotten married yet?” “Are you kidding me,” I answer? I’m only 18!” Tell me, why get married? To wash, clean, cook? I can’t do any of this yet,” Kabaeva said in an interview with the newspaper “Arguments and Facts”.

Shakespearean passions

And yet the young girl’s heart was already open to the first romantic feeling. The famous gymnast, who had already won the title of absolute world champion, fell madly in love with police captain Shalva Museliani. Alina met this impressive and mature man at one of the social events. Kabaeva did not hide her feelings even from the ubiquitous journalists. It was during this time that she gave several candid interviews.

Alas, the romance did not last long. It turned out that the handsome policeman was not very respectful of observing the law. An official investigation was initiated against him. Alina had to testify, because her lover gave her an expensive car, which was clearly beyond the means of the police captain. True, during the investigation it turned out that Kabaeva bought a foreign car with her own money.

During the same period, Alina learned another secret from newspaper publications. Her chosen one turned out to be a married man raising his daughter Nana. It was not easy to survive this blow. Outraged to the core, Kabaeva insisted on a divorce. And Shalva yielded to his ardent beloved. By that time, the gymnast had already stopped giving comments to journalists about the scandalous situation. But even Museliani’s divorce could not save a relationship in which trust had been lost. The insidious policeman found himself a new passion, and Alina broke up with him completely and irrevocably.

Kabaeva continued her brilliant path in gymnastics, climbing to the top step of the podium at the World and European Championships. In 2004, she became the heroine of the Athens Olympics, collecting all imaginable and inconceivable awards. Three years later, Alina completed her sports career. It was then that a new chapter began in her personal life.

Married to the President?

On April 12, 2008, the Moscow Correspondent newspaper, which belonged to businessman Alexander Lebedev, published sensational information. According to insider data obtained by the newspaper's journalists, Russian President Vladimir Putin married gymnast Alina Kabaeva in one of the monasteries in Valdai.

The news was instantly reprinted by the world's main media. A refutation of this information was made at the highest level. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov called the publication “Saturday Internet exercises for boredom.” And only Kabaeva herself, who by that time had become a State Duma deputy from the United Russia party, did not react in any way to the scandal.

“Life experience has taught me not to let anyone into my personal life. Who wants to talk about work, the festival, other professional issues - please, but not about personal things,” Kabaeva said in an interview with Alexei Nemov, a famous gymnast and editor-in-chief of Bolshoy Sport magazine. It seems that for some time now, this position has become the life principle of Alina Kabaeva. It must be said that the gymnast has an iron character, and the public will not soon hear from Alina the details of her personal life. Well, Kabaeva’s fans can only wait, because the secret always becomes clear.

Real sport is always about overcoming. Overcoming yourself, first of all. Even in rhythmic gymnastics - it would seem such a feminine and harmonious sport. These days, preparations for the anniversary festival “Alina” are being completed in Russia. It was invented by the Olympic champion, Honored Master of Sports of the Russian Federation Alina Kabaeva, who is still, perhaps, considered the most beautiful face of Russian gymnastics. The MIR TV channel talked to her about sports, extra pounds and the burden of fame.

At what age did you start gymnastics?

At three and a half years old. And here I learned an interesting fact. I was in Tashkent and talking with my grandfather, and they started talking about rhythmic gymnastics. And he says: “Do you know how you got into rhythmic gymnastics, thanks to whom?” I say: “Well, yes, my mother wanted to send me to rhythmic gymnastics.” And my grandfather worked in the sports committee. And in our area where we lived, there was no rhythmic gymnastics, but he loved this sport very much, and he helped open a section in a secondary school. And just like that, a section appeared where we went, me and my cousin, but so, I stayed. So grandpa made a huge contribution.

With the help of your mother, you came to Moscow - one might say, to the capital of gymnastics in our country at a minimum, and perhaps the world capital of rhythmic gymnastics. Tell us how this happened?

My mother left everything, everyone and went with me to Moscow. It was not easy, it was difficult, but she came and showed me to Irina Alexandrovna (Viner-Usmanova, rhythmic gymnastics coach - editor's note). Irina Aleksandrovna didn’t want to take me at first, she said that I was already old. I was 11 years old then. And her mother simply begged her, asked her to watch how the child trains in the gym. And, indeed, she came and said: “That’s it! I'm leaving you. Only with one condition: if you lose three kilograms in three days.” I say: "Okay." You see, the child is 11 years old.

Did you manage to lose weight then?

I lost weight in three days... There was such a moment. I asked her if I could eat. She says yes. I “What?” In response, “Well, salad vinaigrette.” And I can’t stand vinaigrette salad, I just didn’t like it. But it turned out to be the most delicious salad for me, I still love it, of course, but you have to get it so that it’s a vinaigrette salad. Yes, we succeeded. I was put on water, and in three days I lost three kilograms. I approached this moment very responsibly. Now I can’t come to an agreement with myself, but then I did.

Irina Alexandrovna – who is your name? After all, a coach very often becomes not just a member of the family, but practically a parent.

Irina Alexandrovna is my family. And I am grateful to her, first of all, for everything. For the fact that she raised me, for the fact that she made me, I’m not afraid of this word, a great athlete.

You are a real star, you were on the covers of glossy magazines, I remember the time when public transport with your portraits traveled around Moscow. A song was written about you. Tell me, what is the burden of glory?

You know, even then I realized that this was a great responsibility. A big responsibility, because I remember at the All-Russian competitions in Omsk they came up to me and asked for an autograph. Something is wrong here, I think. I was surprised: “Do I have an autograph?” Yes, they say you have an autograph. I realized that they look up to me, they look at me. You know, for me it was a big responsibility. But on the other hand, there was no star fever. Irina Alexandrovna simply did not allow it. She said: “If you leave the pedestal, start all over again.” What can I say about myself? Let someone else tell it.

I looked at Instagram, and there are a huge number of accounts with the name “Alina Kabaeva”. But it seems to me that almost all of them are not yours.

Absolutely not. I have my own website. And it's all.

And this is your only resource on the Internet?

Yes, absolutely. But you know, I used to try all these (fake accounts - editor's note) close, but it costs a lot of money. I used to try to close and close. And then something new appeared again. This is impossible. This process will always be present. But I'm not there.

Tell me, would you send your children to sports?

Certainly. Surely you are. If it works out and there is a girl, then I would be happy to send her to rhythmic gymnastics. But not because I myself was involved in this sport, but because rhythmic gymnastics harmoniously develops a child: we have choreography, we have physical activity. We have great music here. Again, the team. That's why sports are great. This is really great. I tell all the little girls that they are all already champions because they come and work and overcome themselves.

In Russia, preparations are being completed for the tenth anniversary of the Alina rhythmic gymnastics festival, which was created by Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva. In a new interview, the athlete said that she was introduced to sports at the age of three and a half years. Next, the mother brought the future celebrity to Moscow, since it was obvious that there were more prospects in the capital.

ON THIS TOPIC

It’s interesting that coach Irina Viner-Usmanova didn’t want to take the girl, saying she was already “old,” and Alina was only 11 years old. “And her mother simply begged her, asked her to see how the child trains in the gym. And, indeed, she came and said: “That’s it!” I'm leaving you. Only with one condition: if you lose three kilograms in three days.” I say, “Okay.” You see, the child is 11 years old,” Kabaeva emphasized.

Alina lost weight in three days. She ate only vinaigrette and drank water. “I approached this moment very responsibly. Now I can’t agree with myself, but then I agreed,” admitted the legendary athlete.

Kabaeva is confident that she achieved all her victories thanks to Irina Viner-Usmanova. “Irina Alexandrovna is my family. And I am grateful to her, first of all, for everything. For the fact that she raised me, for the fact that she made me, I’m not afraid of this word, a great athlete,” said the gymnast.

Alina Kabaeva would send her children to sports without hesitation. “Of course. It’s imperative that you. If it works out and it’s a girl, then I would gladly send her to rhythmic gymnastics. But not because I myself was involved in this sport, but because rhythmic gymnastics harmoniously develops a child: we also have choreography , we have physical activity. We have great music here. Again, the team is great. I tell all the little girls that they are already champions, because they come and work and overcome themselves,” – quotes Alina Kabaeva

This interview with the world star of rhythmic gymnastics took place when Alina Kabaeva was only 18 and was under the wing of her coach Irina Viner. An Olympic medal had not yet been won. Alina did not join the party and did not sit in the State Duma. And I couldn’t imagine that I would become a top manager. All this will happen later, and quite quickly.

And then we agreed to do a comically provocative photo shoot for a sports magazine, asking the gymnast to try on several wedding dresses. The publication with Alina on the cover was a success. Such that our photographs then circulated on the Internet for a long time, turning into photoshoppers. God will be the judge of those who did this, violating the rights of both Alina and the photographer.

Today, when Alina is 35, it is interesting to remember how she imagined love and her future husband, what she dreamed about. Remember and compare with what happened. Despite the fact that over the past ten years, Kabaeva has not given anyone a frank interview about her personal life, and everyone who is interested in her can only guess how she lives today, believing or not believing numerous rumors.

— I really liked the shoot, the dresses! - Alina admired when the photo shoot was over. “I think it’s worth getting married at least for the beautiful outfit you wear on your wedding day and for the fun banquet.” True, I’m not going to do this yet. Many people ask me: “Aline, haven’t you gotten married yet?” “Are you kidding me,” I answer? I’m only 18!” Tell me, why get married? To wash, clean, cook? I can’t do any of this yet. But my coach said it right Vera Nikolaevna:“When you need it, you’ll learn everything.” You can do anything for your loved one: cook, clean up... The time will come, and I will succeed. In the meantime, I'm in no hurry. Don't want. You love and love a person, then you get used to him, and the love ends.

— Why does an 18-year-old girl have such pessimistic thoughts?

- I'm feeling it. I see different people, different families...

- Do you think you can’t live long with one person?

- I don’t know... I haven’t loved anyone yet and I’m very glad about it. Love is still a tricky thing. However, the worst thing is if she doesn’t exist in my life at all. It turns out that I lived in vain.

- How do you imagine love?

“That’s the thing, I still can’t imagine her in any way.” One thing I know for sure is that I must see a person and love him at first sight. In the meantime, everything is happening quite banally: let’s say I like some guy, a man, he pays attention to me, and maybe this is love... But why then does everything pass so quickly? I noticed a terrible character trait in myself: when a person looks at me for the first time, I like it. If he does this often, he becomes uninteresting. Paradox!

— Should the future husband be a person from your circle, from the world of sports?

- Not necessarily... The main thing is that he doesn’t have to be beautiful. Pleasant face - yes. To be honest, I don’t take the models walking on the catwalk seriously. Outwardly, I like them, but I would never marry such a handsome man. Ew!!! A woman should be beautiful, and a man should remain a man in any situation in life. No matter what happens. He must know his goal, go towards it and understand what needs to be done for the family. I would like my husband to be stronger than me, so that I can rely on him. In everything. However, I believe that every woman should have her own wing, under which she could hide in the event of a quarrel with her loved one. This wing can be a good friend, sister. Better yet, have your own apartment. You can, of course, live temporarily with your parents. But suddenly they will say: “Why are you back? If you got married, live your life!” It seems to me that this is important - in a certain case, to make it clear to a person: “You know, dear, I don’t live with you because of your apartment...”.

So financial dependence on a spouse is a relative thing. You can depend, but at the same time represent something. For example, I plan to work even after I leave gymnastics. Even if I marry a rich man. Although I don't dream about it. I think that children respect their mother more when she is doing something, and not when she sits at home all day, cooking and waiting for her husband. In my opinion, such women have a very boring life... Ask me now: “Alina, would you like to have a big beautiful house, a good car, a dacha - and not work? In the morning I went to a beauty salon, in the afternoon to a boutique, in the evening to a fitness center...” Never! I think I'll get tired of it quickly.

— Did your mother advise you how to behave with young people?

- This is what I advise her. Seriously! When something happens to her, I usually say: “Mom, what are you doing? Be calm..." She listens to me, but is surprised: “Aline, you advise such smart things, as if you’ve lived your life!” “I read a lot of books,” I joke. But in fact, some inner feeling tells me what to do in a given situation. In sports you become independent early - you travel abroad alone... Maybe that’s why my mother never said, for example, that you don’t need to get married at 18. She's not afraid for me because she knows that her daughter's brains are in the right place. In life, of course, anything can happen, and the main thing is not to do something stupid that you will regret later. But I don’t think this is a threat to me. I always know what I am doing, how and why.

- Nevertheless, the fans probably won’t give you a pass. How to refuse without offending?

— When they ask: “Alinochka, can I meet you?”, I begin a tedious story about my difficult fate: “Oh, I can’t! I have so much training, now I’m leaving again. After the World Cup there was only a week of rest, and then training camp again. This is no life, can you imagine?” Maybe among these people there are men with serious intentions, but I’m not thinking about it now.

- Probably because your heart is already taken? Kirill Kostyrko, the right hand of Shamil Tarpishchev, is spoken of as a serious contender for the role of Alina Kabaeva’s future husband. He comes into the house, you celebrated your last birthday with him in Paris...

- What makes you think that I have him now?.. No, Kirill is a good person. But I don’t want anyone to interfere in my personal life, and I won’t say anything more on this topic. Company's secret.
