The published brochure "Holy Blessed Prince Vyacheslav and Princess Lyudmila Czech. Akathists" is distributed and donated to monasteries and churches.

But a question arose in my mind: "Are there churches in Russia dedicated to the noble prince Vecheslav of the Czech Republic?"

Found the answer on the site.

Church of St. Blessed Vyacheslav Prince of Czech

The house church on Rublyovka has become unique

The house church on Rublyovka became unique… Metropolitan Christopher donated to the Russian Orthodox Church relics of Czech saints Vyacheslav and Ludmila.

As a gift to the Russian Orthodox Church on Friday, August 15 (2008), particles of the relics of Czech saints - the right-believing Prince Vyacheslav and the martyr Lyudmila were transferred. The relic from the Cathedral of St. Vitus in Prague was brought to Russia by His Beatitude Metropolitan Christopher of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, who handed over the reliquary to Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna.

Vladyka Yuvenaly, on behalf of the Russian Church, thanked Metropolitan Christopher for this gift. The relics of the saints will remain in the only church in Russia in honor of the holy noble prince Vyacheslav of Czech, located in the village of Barvikha near Moscow.

A solemn prayer service was performed before the relics. Saints Ludmila and Vyacheslav came from a Czech princely family. Lyudmila was the grandmother of Prince Vyacheslav and raised her grandson in Christian faith. The prince was distinguished by special piety - he built churches, generously gave alms to the poor, arranged the state in a Christian way, guarding the peace of his subjects. Saint Vyacheslav was martyred at the hands of his envious brother, and Saint Ludmila was strangled by the boyars from her own entourage.

“I was born and educated in Prague. It is very touching that the memory of Saints Vyacheslav and Ludmila is honored in Russia. I am glad to have the opportunity to visit the Church of the Holy Prince Vyacheslav, to transfer the relics to you and pray together,” said Metropolitan of Czech and Slovak Christopher.

The temple was built in the style of the architecture of Peter's sea churches, therefore, out of 27 meters in height of the new Barvikha temple, eight are spiers.

It is planned to open a temple center at the church, its creation has already been blessed by Archbishop Gregory and Archimandrite Nestor. Nestor personally oversaw, and sometimes - personally supervised the construction of a new church in honor of St. Prince. Vyacheslav of Czech, who spiritually anticipated the feat of the holy Russian princes Boris and Gleb. Gregory and Nestor introduced to the parishioners and blessed the rector of the temple - Father Maxim. Now the new temple has been transferred to the balance of the Odintsovo deanery.

At the end of the solemn liturgy, Archimandrite Gregory awarded the members of the church board of trustees: Vyacheslav Agadzhanov with the Order of St. Daniel of Moscow, and Tatyana Sagura with the medal of Daniel of Moscow.+

The ringing of bells and a wonderful church choir announced the opening of the church of the Holy Blessed Vyacheslav Prince of Czech in the village of Nov.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Yuvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna, the solemn liturgy and the consecration of the 1165th church of the Moscow region were performed by Archbishop Grigory of Mozhaisk. The opening was attended by more than 200 people, including representatives of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, State Duma, the Federation Council, the administration of the Odintsovo district, ruble-Uspensky residents and Muscovites.

Six years ago there were no Orthodox church, now two. In 1995, several caring residents created an Orthodox community and decided to build a temple.

“There was nowhere to build in the village itself, and we planned to build our temple on the site of the current wooden Church of the Intercession Mother of God, - says Vyacheslav Agadzhanov, a member of the Board of Trustees. - But representatives of Zachatievsky convent, whose farmstead used to be on these lands, was asked to cede the land. Of course, we gave away the land. But the idea to build a temple remained. And then Karen Israelyants offered his plot. There, the construction of a small temple began in 1998. The church building was completed in less than a year. Many mistakenly believed that this was a closed house church. But the church was originally conceived as a public one. Only because of the limited land plot it had to be made a gatehouse, and not a separate building. And the temple did not open for a long time only because a unique iconostasis was created in it, ”Vyacheslav Kimovich explained to us.

The iconostasis in the new church is an exact but three times smaller copy of the iconostasis by the great Rastrelli in the court church of the Winter Palace. Today, the Winter Church is not functioning, and the iconostasis itself was sold abroad in 1927 in parts.

“Director of the Hermitage Boris Piotrovsky kindly provided us with the drawings,” continues Vyacheslav Agadzhanov. - And we completely, on a scale of one to three, recreated it. It took more than three years in the restoration workshop of Count Kamensky.”

The temple was built in the style of the architecture of Peter's sea churches, therefore, out of 27 meters in height of the new Barvikha temple, eight falls on the spire.

...and about the mundane

As Vyacheslav AGADZHANOV says, “I am not involved in politics, because I know politicians personally too well.” When, in the early 1990s, the mayor of St. Petersburg met with the then US President at the White House, George Bush Sr. presented Anatoly Sobchak with a photo album about himself, prepared and published by Vyacheslav Agadzhanov. 12 photo galleries of world presidents published by Agadzhanov. This is the result of Agadzhanov's personal observations and personal communication with each of the characters. Now work is underway on a “photobiography” of Vladimir Vladimirovich. Agadzhanov knows about what is happening in Barvikha and the Kremlin both from the photo and from what remains behind the scenes. Therefore, it was impossible not to ask Vyacheslav Kimovich a question that worries many today. And not only in the Odintsovo district.

Vyacheslav Kimovich, how do you feel about the scandal that is being fanned now about the alleged sale of "presidential" land by Gladyshev?

- With surprise. I heard this story. But a few years ago. And then, as far as I remember, it was not the name of the head of the Odintsovo district that sounded there at all. The current, new "edition" of history is dictated exclusively by modern electoral technologies. I do not know how this will affect the choice of residents of the Odintsovo district. But whatever this choice may be, it will not harm the real image of Gladyshev. A manager of this level and experience cannot be unclaimed.
